I've played Arma 3, I'll be straight with you, you have to know somebody or join a clan to enjoy the kinda things Remy does. As a random who only had one friend who'd play who refused to join a clan, because "I already work for a living, why should I have to listen to these mouthbreathers" I agree it feels like a lot of work( he was mad at the time, don't anyone take it as a personal thing, I'm just quoting him at that time ), I joined one that was a star wars clone trooper battalion, they had me download 15 mods and wait for training for two months, I never got to do anything with them, nobody wanted a rookie participating. I downloaded TeamSpeak in 2018 for them, when they have a discord that they refused to use minus telling me days they were available. It was an awful experience for me personally. Though I loved playing occasionally with my friend in random public servers. I am not trying to kill your joy, just making you aware that it isn't as simple as download a few mods, join 3 servers randomly and walk out with a game like Rimmy and others like SovietWomble, Digby, and etc show. They are fun communities. But they are a community, you gotta join them and put in time and effort to see the fun times. I will honestly be amazed if more than three people don't forget their ear plugs routinely. It would be easier to make an SCP that only sells ear plugs (in exchange for whatever crap people can find lying around,) at the spawn on mission start, and have it magically disappear when no one is looking. Maybe have it teleport to the players when they're behaving badly, just to let them know that it's always there, watching.
My idea was to always give earplugs at mission start, resulting in dupes for anyone who happened to remove them for some reason. You could also bury a request menu in the radio so anyone who forgot last time can get them back
@@alphawolffestudios1169 @Alpha_Wolffe Studios something like allplayers AddItem "ace_earplugs". Radio menus is something I can't remember how to program, but they can totally run any code when you activate them

I watched this all the way through because I like watching your channel no matter the content is.
Oh man this is EXACTLY what I needed when I start making ops for next month for my group. We planned on doing an survival type of thing were the players can build a base to live out of and slowly turn it into a home for themselves. I was so worried about having to write down things such as "3 walls here, half a mag here, broken down car over there" and this will help with hours of headaches (At the expensive of hours of headaches on your end lmao) Keep up the great work Rimmy, you are truly a great person.
So like a week ago I was in a car crash and fractured my ribs and lower left leg. And haven’t really been able to do much so seeing a video from you has made my day better. Just wanted to say thank you Rimmy for blessing me with something to watch.

at first I thought this was like adding dungeons and dragons character inventories to ARMA 3 (Like, my dude has 3 mags left, neat, should get some more next campaign) but the persistent world and combat objectives are incredibly impressive. Well done sir!
Hello. I am he who does not own ARMA 3, and watched all the way through. I did indeed enjoy, it's great to see what you and your group manage to get up to in this game and see how much effort you put into improving that experience. Especially when trying to work within so many limitations that came up in this video. It's a bit like tabletop RPGs I play in those regards, though the restrictions on ARMA seem to be more technical aspects.

Really great stuff. I've been manually adjusting crate inventories and creating persistent campaigns for years, constantly moving units around and trying to remember where stuff ended up with streams and screenshots. One note on player load outs, having the option to save based on player UID OR slot would be ideal. The campaign I'm running right now, everyone runs their own unique kit, but might grab a different slot from mission to mission because the slots are all generic soldiers. Their kit still needs to be the same regardless of slot.
Never played or owned Arma but you are a good story teller and in my dark heresy campaign my players like dealing with logistics. Your operations keep a lot of good advice that is quite transferable, even if the mod isn't.

This is such a nice "quality of life" system that it saddens me that it has never neither base-game nor part of any DLC update amongst all the changes, tweaks, upgrades throughout all the time ARMA 3 has been published [with 2013 being the early access, and 2016 with 1.0]. I sure hope to see it in ARMA's next installment as a standard campaign system, whereby you could have the main campaign [even though being the story either linear or somewhat ] influenced by what you bring back from "side-missions".
Hi, I did enjoy this. I don't own ARMA and have very little experience with things like it. BUT I love creativity and gaming and well, you. That's why I've been watching for the years I have.
a cool campaign gor this especially with fortify is you have the players be a mixed/combined unit of infantry and engineers their mission is to scout the near by area and locate a potential FOB when they have done this they can contact the engineers to come in and build that FOB while building and even scouting you can have small encounters but obviously they will be more serious to stop the building of that FOB. and each session they keep the fob and equipment but theres tasks of defending patrolling securing resupply etc. and they can slowly build up the FOB to suit their defensive needs. and lets say they then want to switch from a infantry unit to a armoured you can have them play as the armoured and npcs as the old infantry unit and have them do a couple missions for turn over of the region control etc then when they are done with that scenario they can have a blast destroying the FOB as they extract.
