  • In this video, we get our 1972 Shasta camper back together! With the interior almost complete, we moved on to the exterior. Getting all of the insulation, metal siding, and windows reinstalled with a huge push to try and get this vintage camper finished.

    I took my 68 Shasta Lowflyte down to the frame and new built. I didn't reuse the skin which allowed me to raise the back and bedside windows to match the front. Cool to have a shower for sure. You have done a wonderful job so far, looking forward to the paint.

      That’s really cool! I have another small Shasta project that I’m gonna do next that I’ll definitely have to buy some new metal or skin for... maybe I’ll play around with that… I appreciate it. I definitely like the layout in this current Camper should be posting the final video in the next three or four weeks, everything is done. I just need to edit the video.

      I used semi roof coil on mine, .040 aluminum 102" wide sold by the foot in length. Kinda heavy duty for sure. My new build is a 72 Cardinal and I found .025 coil 102" wide that should be easier to work with. @@The_Heights

    How good is the insulation working in the shop does it get really hot in the summer and cold in the winter curious how it's holding up

    Does it matter which way the insulation faces when you are installing it, does it have the aluminum look on both sides?

    • @The_Heights
      @The_Heights  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To the best of my knowledge, I believe that’s a radiant barrier, so you face it out if you want to reflect heat away to keep the camper cool

      @@The_Heights I reckon the reason it looks strange to me is I'm use to seeing insulation be put up on the inside of a room, not the outside like your video shows you doing. Kind of got my mind twisted I guess, never gave any thought to oneside holding heat out while the other holds cool air in
