- Thanks to some of you advices about my leather jacket sleeves was too long on my last video • Short Guy (5'3'' Feet)... . I brought this leather jacket to Schottnyc store for shorten my sleeve. They charged $75 USD. It's definitely worth my money. I also created 3 different looks to go with this leather jacket.

Good for you! I’m 5’3” and 160lbs. so I’m even more challenging than you. A short and chubby guys are NOT meant for biker jackets, but I wear them. Because they make me happy!!!

I'm also 5,2 and 163 lbs. I have a Perfecto 618 in 38 on my own. Sleeves are perfect but I can't wear it with the zipper closed. So I decided to loose weight. This project is still in progress (about 3 years now, lol). I think your way is the easier.....

The sleeves on motorcycle and cycling jackets are always going to be longer, because they are designed to cover the wrists when the wearer is hunched over with arms stretched out to hold onto handlebars. Bravo on finding the proper fit for street style!

Hey Nes! i used to draw models when i was in arts school, and one thing we learned about height perception was that the width of the pants must always be small if you want to look tall. Look for pants that are Slim Fit or even better, in your case, Skinny Fit. If you want even more height, you should go with a pair of Jodhpur boots with a heel. I have experimented with these to great success, but im already 1.84 cm tall and don't really need more. I also experimented with heel accesories that makes you 3-4 cm taller, which are made from silicone and you place them in your boots. I used them for better shock absorbtion on my heels, but they also made me taller which was, indeed, weirdly nice. If you're a short guy, i would stay away from baggy pants. Go for the adult look. Stop buying adolescent clothes, invest in good leather shoes and good posture. Go to the gym and work your inner strength.. then you'll be even taller in everyone's eyes, but most importanly, yours.

Dude I’m 5.1, I feel your pain! I’m lucky in the uk, there are smaller sizes and fashion brands do slim fit leather jackets. However sleeves will always be an issue.

I think it looks great on you. I own a 519 and a 626. The sleeves on my 626 are a bit long and I might have them shorten. The only thing I don't like is how you tuck the belt in the belt loop. Why don't you let it hang down. Within a day it will loosen up and hang down nicely. Otherwise you look very handsome in your jacket.

Hey Nes..! You make cool content! If you come across a schott 613 one star in size 34 (xs), try it on, it seems to be the shortest in the entire line of schott jackets, just shorten the sleeves a little and it will fit you even cooler ..!)

You need that sleeve length when riding. When you reach out for the handlebars, it is the perfect length.

@@NesPhan I definitely share your love of Schott. I have a 141 and a 125 currently. I do ride with them, and even on hot days! I like the protection. I hope to go the factory sale one day. I'm about 5 hours away.
I just bought a very similar jacket (basically an imitation) from Buck Mason. It's definitely not a Schott but it super nice all the same and was good enough as I couldn't afford a brand new Schott. I got the small and the fit is really nice but the sleeves are a bit long. I think the jacket would be almost perfect if the sleeves were the right length. This is awesome to see Schott offered this service for you and I am wondering if the would do the same for non Schott brands. It's kind of funny too as I bought mine from the Buck Mason store right across the street from Schott in Noho, NYC.

Nice video. I was wondering. Did Schott also shortened or cut the zippers when they repaired the sleeves? In your video, the zippers do look shorter than normal.

@@fredguerra4917 Not really but they have limited on how much you can shorten them. I think it’s 3 inches max. I chose mines 2’5 inches
I understand your situation perfectly, I’m 5’7” and 210 lbs and I wear XL and in some cases XXL I have a bit of a belly but I’m also very muscular the shoulders are often too tight on XL ,,, sleeves are always too long

Schott is a cool company that makes decent jackets. For slightly more money you can purchase a "perfecto" type jacket from companies such as Johnson leathers in San Francisco. Also, there are other companies who will make a great jacket for triple the price. However, if the price is high and is not worth it for you, there is always a woman's size. Some excellent jacket makers do not change the zipper orientation for the lady's jackets.
Just out of topic, Schott did not make the Jacket Marlon Brando wore in the movie the wild one.

You should’ve gotten a Schott 618 dude. The 118 are purposely made 1 inch longer and two inches wider than most of schotts jackets. Mainly made for taller guys. The 618 would have fit you perfect out the box

Try the Schott 618 It’s shorter than the 118. The 118 fits longer from the torso. I’m 5’5 and I have the 618 size 38 in horsehide.
My jacket size is 32. 38 is too big. I’m only 120 pounds

Hey Nes, hope you can help me with some questions. What size is this? What is its sleeve length before and after in inches? Also do you find it wide on the arms side?
The originals sleeves were 24'' and 7/8 of an inch. My current sleeves are 22'' and 3/8 inch. Not really wide on the arms. They fit me really good. It was a bit tight around my armpits tho.

Any good talior should be able to fix this, they just need a special needle for the leather then its the same as any alteration. Im 5'6 140lbs and baught a xs leather biker jacket and need to get the sleeves shorter, anyways your's looks good in the after picture, thats what im going for

Slightly different topic. I always take the zips out of the pockets, saves you getting your hands scratched on the cold metal zips. Doesn't really effect the look of the jacket either IMHO.

That so small i doubt i could put my arm in a sleeve. Off the rack jackets rarely fit people perfect. Honestly the sleeves are right but the jacket still seems a tad bit long for him. He mentions this fact himself at 3:14 so im sure he noticed.

it feels a bit heavy. My chest measurement is 82.5 cm

Would also love to purchase a Schott 618 which is a little slimmer fit than the 118. Don't know which size to purchase though, I think it's a tie between size 36 and 38 at a height of 5'10 and a weight of 143lbs.
PS.: love your advice for the white tee. Will search for the Premium line of h&m here in Germany. Similar advice for black Tees?
618 doesn't have size xxs 😔. Well if u are fit well on the white T than black T u will have no issues.
618 has a 34 size that is a 32 for a 118..618 is tailored smaller than 118.. A 32 size for 118 is a 34 size for 618... 618 is steer hide, much stronger and heavy than 118 cowhide.. Don't worry about your height bro, 5'2 is perfect size.. People and girls would always pick you, even though you were 6' tall, if it were not your height, it would be your hair, your weight, your eyes color, anything to put you below them..
