The 613 *does* have under arm footballs. The 613s does not. The 613s is an inch longer in the front and has longer sleeves. Which kind of stinks because I prefer the shorter cut body of the 613 but without underarm footballs like the 613s. And I am only 5’9, so the long 35.5” arms won’t work for me!

had the 618 for 5-6 months now (i know that's not long). It's my first leather jacket. Wanted one since i was a little kid i'm an adult now. Very happy with the purchase. What I love about this jacket is that (and i got the black one), I thought having a leather biker jacket would look great and badass but not professional or preppy or debonair. This jacket actually looks both- it looks badass and then it also at the same time looks debonair. When i have it on, often it reminds me of like those people on horseback wearing the preppy style clothes. Makes me like this jacket that much more cuz i love both styles- the badass biker look as well as the preppy look.

Very nice video :) I got myself a 618 last year in September and i have to say that this jacket really is worth every penny. Here in germany it was a whopping 999€ but still, i don‘t regret buying it one single bit. Everybody that‘s thinking about getting one, get one, you definitely won‘t regret it and the jacket will literally last your whole life and get better over time, carrying your story

Using your advice on going for true size for 618 I bought a used size 36 from Japan in good condition and I must say the fit is SPOT ON. Not too tight where it constricts movement, but fit enough to compliment my slim figure. I’m on eBay shopping for a 118 but all the listings just say perfecto and don’t describe which model, I’m seeing MANY Japan listings that use same pics but listed as different sellers…I’m very lost as to if they are authentic at least ones I’m looking at, any help?
This is an excellent synopsis of the various Perfecto models. Schott needs to simplify things, in my opinion. This is confusing as hell for buyers. Having owned a number of Perfectos (and I am old), I can recommend that people not go for this skin-tight look. If it is snug in the chest, it will not loosen up, and you will just never wear the jacket. Get something comfortable and you can wear it for life. Sizing mistakes are very expensive.
would you say that if there's tightness in the upper bicep area when wearing the 618 perfecto while moving you arms around, that the jacket's too tight? i sized up two sizes and still i have that problem. The problem alleviates somewhat if i lift my sleeves up a little bit which gives a little more room in that top bicep area.

This one helps me even more : if you can wear a 36 with a hoodie, considering we're the same height + you have a slightly bigger chest + I don't wear hoodies ever, I should get a 34 to get that nice slim fit. Also a 618 size 36 is almost identical to a 118 size 34 measurement-wise, except for the body length, which means it would indeed be the best fit for me. Now I just need the money :)

I love Schott jackets and have had a few. My chest MEASURES 36” and it’s a good firm slim fit with my 618 if only wearing a single layer underneath. But if I put on an inch over Christmas it lets me know! I have the 118 in 36” too and like the more relaxed fit and extra length on occasion: it’s a better fit than a 618 in 38. Also, although the 618 feels more tailored on, in photographs it’s hard to tell what I’m wearing. definitely investigate the 118 if not sure between two sizes.
Great video! The underarm footballs make a huge difference in comfort, and a marginal difference in how baggy it looks. It's good to be specific about which models have the football. The same is true for the bi-swing back panels. It is difficult, but possible, to ride without these features. These are some of the differences between a 'fashion' jacket and 'real' biker jacket. But, get what works for you, I can ride well enough in the slim-fit Per70 w/o the footballs, but it would be better for me if the Per70 had them.

Go a size bigger to to make room for muscle growth and changing body mass. It'll help big with movement. My chest is naturally a 46 and going true to size in my experience was a bad idea, I should've gone with a 48 to accommodate that arm movement
My 618 just came in today. While it’s not “heavy”, I definitely wasn’t expecting it to fit so snugly even 3 sizes more than my usual 41” chest. As mentioned in the video, the leather feels stiff (yet comfy?) although it’s slightly hard for my arms to exert full mobility. Raising them up feels like I’m lifting invisible dumbbells. It seems nice enough for me to lounge in up until Spring season but the jacket is definitely not something you’d want to wear for more than an hour in mid-late Summer. If Schott could make a perforated version of the 618 or 118, then it would be the best damn jacket I’ve ever worn in my life. 10/10 purchase
i'm in the exact same position as you. i'm a chest size 41 as well, just got the perfecto 618. Tried three different sizes (42, 44, and 46) and the size 46 was the most comfy for me which is 2 sizes above what my exact size would be. And like you, it feels stiff yet comfy? (i'm questioning that as well). and it's also hard for me to move my arms full mobility, i feel discomfort in the top of the bicep area especially when trying to move my arms around. But i find that if i pull my sleeves up a little bit then the tightness/discomfort in the top bicep area alleviates somewhat. Do you have that problem as well? I'm wondering if it's just the way the jacket is cut and that's why it feels tight in that area, or if i need to size up yet again. It's my first leather jacket and i'm only used to regular winter coats where i didn't have that problem.
@@saxenas I have a 44" chest and ordered a size 44 618 HH. It is somewhat restricting when zipped up. I ripped the tags off of it and felt it was fine but a couple days later realized the 46 might hav been better. I can wear a thin long sleeve short but a short sleeve is best. I do think the 44 probably looks better than the 46. I am hoping it continues to break in more. Some days love it other days I kick myself. They are strange jackets.

But for me it was too uncomfortable. The general consensus of the leather community is that leather doesn't stretch; it only molds to your body and then it's easier to move in. But i've also heard that certain areas of the jacket do open up with time, like the shoulders. So i'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I gotta have that snug fit. Tell me, is it difficult getting your hands into the side pockets? I find this puts strain on the underarm seams regardless of the size I’m trying on.
Hi, I love your videos.. I'm 46.5 chest and went with 46 slim even though Schott's size guide says 48 on the standard selection .. It seemed a little snug at first but I'm noticing that it's slowly breaking in.. I'm more concerned about the shoulders being too narrow but the seam is about 3/4 inch over the shoulder point on each side.. I didn't want to chance the 48 cause i didn't want it to be too baggy.. should i still get the 48 or just stick with the 46. Thanks
I found one of the postings on the SchottNYC website forum made by Gail, the late former Schott employee and company historian (RIP, Gail, you are missed). She confirmed that Marlon Brando wore a model 618 Perfecto in that trite old movie “The Wild One”. Look at a photo of that idiot Brando from the movie: the snaps on the color are plainly visible, yet the 613 doesn’t have snaps on the collar.
Friend, Nice video. However, the wild one jacket worn by Brando in the movie was not a Schott copy. Durable in contrast to Schott was much better built with superior hardware. Plainly, It was a much better design with stronger zippers and at different locations on the arms.

The Schott Perfecto hands down. The boda skin is extremely thin, compared to the Schott it feels like a thin plastic bag. Boda skins is worth about $200 max any more and it’s a ripoff. They source and make the jackets in Turkey but on the jackets all you see is England flags and Manchester labels. I use to think boda looked better but surprisingly I get more random complements on the Schott.
I am 6.5 ft tall , 117kg around 220ld if not wrong , 48 shoulder , 44 chest . 36 waist and bit long monkey arms and I do go to gym so big arms too . Don’t know which schott jacket to go for . As I can’t fit and try them as I am from Australia. Can anyone suggest Which cafe racer jacket to go for a for a regular winter use . Not much of riding but lot of Driving . Would like something in thick leather , cow or horse hide leather. As I feel they are more durable. @schott .... help me out ...... please.
I'm interested in a 613 Im 5 foot 6 mascular with a 5 foot 9 wingspan and a 39 inches chest. Do you think a 38 will fit on me? I really don't want the sleeves to be longer than it should.
If you're just wearing a t shirt, you'll be fine. If you're ordering a brand new Schott, I'm pretty sure you can ask them to shorten the sleeves for a fairly cheap price.

Hi, I have a 38inch chest same as you, 175cm and 67kg, I'm thinking about getting a vintage 118 from mid 80s to early 90s in very good condition, heard the vintage have a smaller cut than the jackets today, I'm wondering should I get this jacket which is 38 that will give me the slim look I'm after? Maybe 36 for a vintage will be small for me? Thanks
Depends on where the bottom of the jacket hits you. At your height it will probably fall below your waist at your hips unless you have a long torso and short legs. So you might not be able to zip up a 36. The inner circumference of the bottom sweep of my size 36 is 33". The back length is 23.5". For reference, I'm the same height as you but I have a 33" chest, 29" waist, 33" hips. 120 pounds. I tried on a 34. The shoulders and chest fit perfectly but it was about an inch too small at my hips to close the jacket. So I had to go up to a 36. A taller person with your chest might be able to wear a 36 but I recommend a 38 if you're a muscular jacked guy with a narrow waist or a 40 if you're soft and have a gut or love handles.

Thanks bro. My height is between 5,9 and 5’10, 165Lbs. As far as the recommendation, the 118 size 38 would be a perfect fit for you especially with just a t-shirt and unzipped. You can also layer the 118 easily. The only downside of the 618 is its short which can look off with certain outfits like a long baggy shirt or baggy jeans. However if you wear slim fitted shirts and skinny jeans the 618 slim fit is a perfect choice. If you decide on the 618, go with a size 40 for a slim fit. Aldo I would recommend the 118 it’s more versatile.

bruh do you prefer the schott or boda skin though?
The Schott Perfecto hands down. The boda skin is extremely thin, compared to the Schott it feels like a thin plastic bag. Boda skins is worth about $200 max any more and it’s a ripoff. They source and make the jackets in Turkey but on the jackets all you see is England flags and Manchester labels.
I use to think boda looked better but surprisingly I get more random complements on the Schott.
This jacket should not be too loose to make it look cool 😁

I am 6.5 ft tall , 117kg around 220ld if not wrong , 48 shoulder , 44 chest . 36 waist and bit long monkey arms and I do go to gym so big arms too . Don’t know which schott jacket to go for . As I can’t fit and try them as I am from Australia. Can anyone suggest Which cafe racer jacket to go for a for a regular winter use . Not much of riding but lot of Driving .

Im 5 foot 6 mascular with a 5 foot 9 wingspan and a 39 inches chest. Do you think a 38 will fit on me? I really don't want the sleeves to be longer than it should.
If you're just wearing a t shirt, you'll be fine. If you're ordering a brand new Schott, I'm pretty sure you can ask them to shorten the sleeves for a fairly cheap price.

Depends on where the bottom of the jacket hits you. At your height it will probably fall below your waist at your hips unless you have a long torso and short legs. So you might not be able to zip up a 36. The inner circumference of the bottom sweep of my size 36 is 33". The back length is 23.5".
For reference, I'm the same height as you but I have a 33" chest, 29" waist, 33" hips. 120 pounds. I tried on a 34. The shoulders and chest fit perfectly but it was about an inch too small at my hips to close the jacket. So I had to go up to a 36. A taller person with your chest might be able to wear a 36 but I recommend a 38 if you're a muscular jacked guy with a narrow waist or a 40 if you're soft and have a gut or love handles.

great content man! if you don't mind me asking what is your height? I have a similar build and I'm looking into getting EITHER the 118 or 618. I'm 5' 11" 165 lean build. chest is 40-41 inches. I like a more fitted look for fashion and I'll probably wear the jacket open 90% of the time with a t-shirt maybe light sweater. what would you recommend model and size wise? hope all is well. god bless
Thanks bro. My height is between 5,9 and 5’10, 165Lbs. As far as the recommendation, the 118 size 38 would be a perfect fit for you especially with just a t-shirt and unzipped. You can also layer the 118 easily.
The only downside of the 618 is its short which can look off with certain outfits like a long baggy shirt or baggy jeans. However if you wear slim fitted shirts and skinny jeans the 618 slim fit is a perfect choice. If you decide on the 618, go with a size 40 for a slim fit. Aldo I would recommend the 118 it’s more versatile.
