    I raise fancy pigeons and homers when I get new birds I usually only quarantine them for a week or so and giving them apple cider vinegar in their water will help them out a lot and you can give all the birds the apple cider vinegar and it will help them out a lot. Hope this helps:)

      Lantern Lab pigeon keeping is like having chickens ducks or turkeys as pets. Or like having a parokeet. Maybe more like a dog but its all just a hobby to keep us busy and happy 😝😆

      It’s fun and you can breed and race them for money prizes also once you get one pigeon you keep wanting more and more but they can be expensive so some people trap them for free

    Try going up on the roof AT NIGHT. Blind birds with a flashlight and catch them by hand. About a month ago, I went up into a store overhang with pigeons. Saw a hen on a nest near the ladder. Flashed the light on her and grabbed her. She had been sitting on two eggs. Candled the eggs and they looked less than 2 days old. Put the eggs under a homer pair in my loft with same age eggs. The feral babies have been growing up with the pair's babies nicely. Will be weaning them in a about a week. :)

    • @syedshah2613
      @syedshah2613 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just a question please, what do you do with the pigeon babies? And dont you think its crualty to trap those pigeon. They must be parents of these babies xnd might be babies are in those eggs

    • @zachbump1080
      @zachbump1080 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@syedshah2613 I am not sure you intended to reply to my comment. But hey, I can go into detail on this a little. I'm not sure how it could be considered animal cruelty. Jordan checks trap daily. He has food and water in his traps. Also in these areas pingeons are feral birds. They are pests. Rats with wings basically. So when it comes to trapping them and removing them he is actually taking them to the loft and keeping them as pets. While other business owners will poison them, kill the babies, and destroy the nests. It's all about balance. People like Jordan will never effect the pigeon population. Even if he killed every pigeon he saw and destroyed every nest. Still wouldn't do anything. It's just a hobby.

    • @syedshah2613
      @syedshah2613 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cruelty is not trapping pigeons bro, what I meant that those eggs in nests which are not hatched yet. There might be already babies in them ready to be hatched. And those little babies which are waiting for their parents to come and feed them. But guess what some one put there traps and trapped those parents and took them away. And left the un hatched eggs and babies there to die. That is crualty. I'm not against any one keeping pigeons. I love pigeons. I have pigeons my self. My only concern is those un hatched eggs and babies left in nests.

    Good Evening Jordan, look's like you have found a good trapping area . 21 days for your quarantine . Pigeons look good in your loft, good few squeakers about . The Eurasian dove that's white is now named after you. it's called Jordan and the resident wily woody is called Bobby just thought the names fit. Please some more Butchery, you're great at it Malc and Ann (England) UK xxx

    • @corrinjessen
      @corrinjessen 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Eurasian collard doves don't come in white. If you have a white dove then it is a Barbary dove or domestic ring neck which actually originate from African Collard doves.

    Most from loft showed of ferals, are decent seeming homers. I always wonder why they became ferals.. bad homers or dumped, maybe owners released moved or died n the pigeons eventually got hungry to move on. I've got a couple awesome racing homer bloodlines that look like ferals in cage, but release them, and they tear up the shy leaving falcons even eating their dust, racing. Feral etc one month quarantined birds on whole corn to clean n fatten, and babies of, are awesome eating.

    Jordan I got a couple questions,
    1st How come you put the 4 birds in the separate cage out side , cause normally don't you just take them to your loft.
    2nd. When you was on the rooftop there was a pigeon I take it was sitting on eggs. Why didn't you catch that pigeon and eggs and bring back to your pen?

    Make sure you don’t just abandoned the babies, take the babies and give it to your ferals that have eggs or babies already. They’ll take care of them. Jus make sure you have plenty of feed,Grit, & oyster shells in the loft. Oyster shells gives pigeon calcium and calcium helps pigeons develop eggs . Btw you & Bobby inspired me to set out traps & catch ferals. Keep the videos up!👍

When birds use a nest more than ounce they can get enfested with mites fast so maby some diatomaceous earth or mite powder in the nest boles??
