They should have 3 sets of squabs per year per pair. The adults start getting warn down by the end of summer. At that time I would take out the nest bowls etc and let them recover. The eggs are actually good to eat if they continue to try to nest. I just ate them myself. You are in for a lot of birds as they still have time for 1-2 more nest cycles depending on how old the squabs are already. That is when you need to start making decisions on thinning out the coop because they start getting expensive to feed.
And to drop a comment that is about the pigeons on a pigeon video: I really like the beginning of Your new racing team! Keep it up, look for a good club to join and soon we will all have fun seeing Your new birds fly! A pro tip for breeding would be to keep record of Your pigeons and their family trees. You can't name them all, but you should band them all and note down who the parents are for every new chick. So You can gain a lot of useful information: 1. see what color combos lead to which colors in the babys 2. find out which birds are contributing to the breeding and which don't - unfertilized eggs or not even paired up 3. keep track of relations when fostering birds out (like the little one in the vid - I hope he/she makes it!) or when breeding for more than one generation, for example to see which birds decend from Champ and if they are doing better than the others 4. You COULD potentially name them all, or let our fans do it ... and concerning Names, I suggest for Champs girlfriend the name "Livia" - it's the name of Emperor Augustus third and final wife, which suits to the companion of a noble mate, and "Columba livia" is coincidentally the scientific name for the common pigeon.
When finally weighting down the flaps on the turtle trap, You should also install some kind of spike or hook on the inside to pin your bait on it before throwing it back in, and prevent the bait from sinking down and being eaten through the trap and instead make the turtles climb in to get to it. I hope it's understandable what I mean, that should be an easy improvement to the classic design, don't You think?

Hi Jordan, a great look around including the musk turtles. Ryan looks happy with his partner, the goats are great - they look really fit. Goslings and ducks and chicks fine, I do miss doing them! Pigeons you made the right thing moving one of the four into another nest. We hope it works. Pleased that you have got some bands even though they are just your colours. Get on with that young bird loft, Jordan. It's good at the minute with 18 young birds to fly round. You might get a few more. You should enjoy them soon, as you will be able to let them fly round and take them on training flights and release them to go home. Take care and we look forward to seeing the real you under that beard! Malc and Ann (England) UK xx ps - no mystery pets, yet.

Hi mate , just a quick pointer the baby you banded and asked for guesses of colour it will be what is known as a SADDLE BACKS usually all white with a small portion of colour on wing tops ( any colour on wing tops , can also have a coloured tail . When ringing a young bird hold the young squab in one hand and with the same hand stretch the leg of choice out behind the bird straight , You'll find it easier fitting the rings / bands . Also buy a wing stamp with your name and cell phone number on or rings / bands with your name and cell phone number on that way if you lose any you got a better chance of getting them back good luck Aaron England 🇬🇧😉
Yes u did the right thing Jordan putting the youngster in2 the other nest, with the nest's up so high u might need to watch none of the young birds fall out chasing food as they get older, what is cool is the amount of YOUNGSTER's give it a couple of weeks&just move them to ur flying loft with the birds that are flying to your loft hopefully they will teach the YOUNGSTER's the way around,👍 keep the hard work up, 🇮🇪 DUBLIN 🇮🇪,
