I didn't touch on it in the video, but its also cool that the miniatures are push-fit. I do recommend to remove the pins and to use plastic cement regardles, but if thats not an option, having everything ready to go without any other tools is great. Also, the pricing is more or less confirmed. Warhammer Community Article: www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/B3EtzIYC/kill-team-starter-set-space-marines-vs-plague-marines/
@@christtomato1 Push-fit is handy as you don't need glue BUT usually with push-fit the different parts do not fully touch leaving little gaps in your miniature. As a sort of in between you can snip off about an inch of the push-fit connections this way they still don't need glue but will leave no gap (though the best is to actually remove the pins and just glue them with plastic cement as it will leave the cleanest finish and your models will be sturdy)
Crazy that people are complaining about it being SM vs SM. Its a starter set for people who dont own any KTs yet. Buy Hivestorm if you want the weird stuff in a versus box
I really like the MDF terrain. It's easy to store, doesn't need to be painted and is ready yo go out if the box. It give me nostalgia for the old cardboard terrain that ysed to come in 40k boxsets from the 90's. I really hope they make more if this terrain.
I think the MDF terrain is a great idea. I guess I'd want both options, so I don't want Games Workshop to stop selling plastic terrain altogether, but the MDF stuff has lots of advantages (portability, storage, theoretically lower price point) and makes it really easy to get started quickly.
I have no intentions of playing any more KT, but I absolutely intend on buying this box. I want to paint all the models and the terrain will fill out the mdf terrain set I already own. Outstanding box!
I'll be picking up at least a couple of copies over it's shelf life. Alternative sculpts to drop into Marine units are fine but getting some alternate sculpts for Death Guard weapon options that only have a single variant in the main line is incredibly handy. I already picked up one set of Death Guard when GW did the second release of the blind boxes, love the sculpts. Around £50 from a discounter and the potential to sell on a copy of the Plaguecaster later on, even if the perceived value of that model just tanked.
112 USD is such a great price. This is actually a reasonable price. This is like an expensive board game with some mini's like nemesis. So I could see this getting so many people into it.
I like the MDF terrain idea. I keep trying to introduce new players to Warhammer, and GW really seems to be putting a lot of effort into making that difficult for me 😅
135 cdn, damn. I mean that is so so. was hoping a little cheaper. prices isn't really cheaper that is what they are charging right now for starting sets.

new to the hobby, can you explain why?

As a newer Death Guard player I couldn't be happier, guess I'll be trying kill team.

Battle Systems makes a large variety of MDF stuff that looks good and should integrate nicely.
I also feel that the kill team Justinian painted and moded up as Death Watch would be quite thematic.
Great analysis, thanks!

think that with GW starting with these kill teams gives them free hands to concentrate on Xenos kill teams.

I have never played Warhammer before, this set to me looks great does anyone know how much this will cost and when it will go on pre order..?
As someone who isn’t a serious player this seems great, plastic terrain is expensive and “needs” painting so can be a bit off putting for a sampler
