BTW this is a reupload of the original video. Was it reploaded due to a copyright issue or hackers etc? No. I just accidently deleted this video instead of a tester I was working on. I can't even be mad, I'm just dumb. (I am sad the comments are gone though, that kinda sucks) Anyway whether you're watching this video for for the first time or rewatching this upload, appreciate you checking it out. ❤
hahaha oh my god that sucks!! hopefully these hiccups don't kill your momentum with this growth your channel has been getting!! I've been subbed for nearly 3 years and it's been awesome to see the numbers you can pull now
This is crazy, just yesterday I was watching one of your older video compilations and wandering if anybody had ever submitted loaded, and wandering if I should mention it, and now, this gets dropped! Amazing timing my friend; great game and soundtrack!
Starting this year with a video from Sean Seanson was the best way to kick off 2024. This reload is very welcomed. This channel quickly became one of my favourites. Well written scripts, witty reviews, interesting selection of games. Always a pleasure to watch. Thanks for the hard work you do, mate. Your efforts are really appreciated, your videos are just excellent!
I _LOVE_ Legend's intro. Just bust into an empty church, do some sweet Karate moves, then leave. *HEROIC!* 😄 At any rate, glad to re-watch this re-upload. Here's my new comment to boost that algorithm attention, baby! Loved this episode anyway. Legend, C-12, Akuji, Loaded & Re-Loaded.... those are all interesting. I still really appreciated the Loaded coverage and pointing out the influence of ol' Bitmap Brothers' games like Soldier of Fortune/Chaos Engine and Team17's Alien Breed. Or the general UK love of that style of game during the time. I still hope to see you tackle Machine Hunter sometime too - Eurocom's entry into that genre on the PS1
Loaded was my favorite game when I was a little boy. Something about space serial killers breaking out of a SuperMax really appealed to me for it's gritty creativity.
My cousin and I loved Legend on the SNES! We'd rent it all the time but could barely get past the haunted tree boss. I loved that you could change your characters colour!
Watching this one for the first time thanks to the reupload and damn this is a great episode. The voice acting in C-12 was absolutely cracking me up because I remember playing the demo! Also Akuji looks legitimately great - that perfect mixture of actually good and janky that makes PS1 adventure games so great
Found your channel only recently Sean and have been enjoying the heck out this series. I landed about half way through (thanks algorithm) so I've got the older ones to go back to. I've really enjoyed your reviews of each game and also the attention to detail with the music on games. Excellent stuff!
1:36:46 That's Paul Darrow from Blake's 7, I'm sure of it. I can't find credit for this game on web, but he does have voice work for: MediEvil (and 2nd game) and Primal
I recently became a new mom, which involved some very long, lonely nights. I found your channel and your videos were just right to help me get thru sleepless nights. I always look forward to new videos from you. My little baby doesn't know much, but she does know the Wheel will Provide ✌️
Love this series and this channel deeply. Always teaches me something new about my favorite console and its library. Thanks for being you sean! Love the vid!
I'm re-watching this, no prob. Thanks for reuploading it! btw you should definetely check out some English patched psx games like Zill o' infinite, GERMS or Addie no Okurimono if you haven't already, I think you'll love them
I love your videos. Ive been replaying ps one games recently and i stumbled on your channel looking for new games it inspired me to replay some games i wanted to forget and i actually enjoyed them a little more. Anyway, i dont know if you will pull from these but heres a list of some games i really liked playing. Loaded is one of my *faveorite* ps1 games. it was one of the earliest games in my collection and its always been amazingly fun. Cap'n Hands all the way
Loaded and Reloaded reminds me of a game called Project Overkill, which I was too young to understand when I played it and couldn't even make it beyond the first door 😅
Luckily I still have my comment I wrote in my email because you gave it a heart. So, here it is: Wow, Sean, I did not expect a new video of the "Obscure & Forgotten PS1 Games" series at the end of the year but I love that we got one! Game #1: I actually know about the SNES game, but the PS1 Legend game is really obscure. Interesting though, except for the eye-hurting spell animations. Ouch! Regarding to the Darius-looking guy, Axel: Can he also dunk like Darius? 😅 Also Hidden Invasion kinda reminds me of Oni. Game #2A/2B: Well, I know Loaded more than Re-Loaded but I love that you included both. Also Loaded always kinda reminded me of Machine Hunter. Game #3: Is this game really (that) obscure? Well, I guess it's because I have seen it in some lists of worst PS1 games *and* most underrated PS1 games that I personally don't think it is obscure. 🤷♂ Game #4: Well, I'll be damned. Now you got me for what I wrote in game #3 about it being obscure (but I won't delete that). Funny thing is, *this* game is actually I'd call obscure/forgotten as I read nothing about it at all. Kitty spotting time! Kitties spotted at (this time, for the first time ever, with names!): 20:38 (Honey) 20:41 (Honey) 20:43 (Luna) 37:59 (Luna) 1:14:28 (Luna, for some reason running away) 1:17:31 (Honey) 1:40:46 (Honey) 1:40:51 (Luna appearing, with Honey still being there) Thank you for yet another fun ride of a video and thank you for every video you put out in this year, every year before and hopefully the next years! I'm wishing you a Happy New Year! (I just didn't check if the times for the kitty spotting is still correct)
First, I'd like to suggest the classic MTv Music Generator, which I feel doesn't get the attention it deserves nowadays. I've discovered your channel last week and binged this series (as well as other videos). Your content is great, Sean! Loving to discover new PS1 stuff, and seeing old friends such as Threads of Fate.
@@SeanSeanson Thank YOU for this, and for your amazing content, delivered with such a charismatic voice. Since I'm the cook at my house, your videos have been a constant presence during the making of our meals. The PS1 is really special to Brazilians of certain age, since its copy protection was weak and a huge grey market was established. This included everything, from bootlegs, weird Portuguese translations, and each game was cheaper than McDonald's. In this chaotic landscape, there was no difference between rare or region locked games, everything was possible (though text-heavy Japan exclusives were not as common). You could as easily buy Gex 2 or Dragon Ball Z: Idainaru Dragon Ball Densetsu. I'll try to remember more titles, and the trip through memory lane that is your channel is surely helping. Keep the great work!
Funny how almost all the games you mentionned in this video I own them since years but never had the time to fully play them haha ! Of course Legend is the only one I don't own it for obvious reasons, however I own Soul Fighter on Dreamcast, that I liked it for what I remember. Akuji The Heartless was definitly the one I remember the most because how good I found it; and also, because I'm a huge Gex the Gecko fan, I mean, I consider Gex 3 as one of the best plat-formers ever of this era and the best Super Mario 64-like game in the PS1. Guess I'll have to geit it out of my closet now... Thanks for this very well done video, as always, pleasure to watch your videos ! Hope one day my game will be peaked, as I am really interested to watch your opinion on it !
brother, I have three videos to watch, I'm late. And funnily enough re-loaded was also one of the earliest PS1 game I can remember playing with Rayman, but I'm pretty sure I didn't liked it a lot since I have nearly no memories from it except the cover art. Good shit sean!
When you post new videos, I sometimes think: okay it's long, but maybe he'll talk about some boring game and I'll skip that segment? NOPE! Watched the entire thing in one sitting. The Wheel sure knows how to provide
Legend actually looks like it would be a good bit of fun! Pity it's on the dear side. Some depth with its moves if it has over 30! Really love how much animation the shopkeeper has, a little thing that really tickles my fancy for some reason! i knida wanna get loaded and reloaded just because of those box art, that and they look like a nice time for a night of gaming! Akuji looks quite interesting, kinda sold on the pitch you give on gex slash soul reaver! C-12 sounds like it can be fun but with points of mild frustration! That action man insult is gold!
I've genuinely never heard of C-12 as someone who is on the other side of the pond. I feel like by 2002 I would just gloss over any PS1 releases in gaming mags for PS2. Even the promo piece doesn't ring a bell.
When I was a kid, I traded my friend my copy of Twisted Metal 2 for his copy of Re-Loaded and I immediately regretted it. I tried to get my mom to call my friends mom and tell her that we needed to trade back because I wasn't allowed to trade my games, and she said that I had made my bed and now I had to sleep in it lol.
On your verdict on C12’s rumble being better than some PS5 games, hopped on Gran Turismo 7 the other day and yeah. One of the reasons cars that otherwise weren’t that good felt great to drive in Gran Turismo 4 is because you could really feel the engine revving with the DualShock 2 rumble. In Gran Turismo 7, braking feels great and all, but there isn’t rumble for acceleration and gear changes (something that both Gran Turismo 4 and Forza Motorsport 8 have spoiled me with). Heck, I don’t even notice rumble’s impact on Ghost of Tsushima. I think it might be because rumble is less of a novelty nowadays since everyone has rumble capable controllers and is used to it, so developers don’t put as much thought into it. It’s kinda sad but it makes me grateful that Forza Motorsport, despite all its flaws as a game, has some damn good controller feedback. Edit: I actually started to question my own claim so I just laid GT7 and FM8 back to back. First of all, Forza still has better feedback, but not because of the feedback system itself, it's because of the handling models. Both games use the same system for rumble, it's just a lot lazier in GT7 Gran Turismo 7 leans much more into arcade handling and is easier to control, you almost never have to worry about your car sliding around. Most cars feel way to smooth to be real, and this causes proper haptic feedback to not engage for most cars, even race cars. It can have rumble for acceleration and gear changes, but most cars aren't growly rumbly enough under the hood to actually engage this. It still has feedback for wheelspin, but because of the handling model you almost never get it. In Forza however, while you still have the issue of some cars lacking acceleration feedback, all cars have gear change feedback. Forza has a much more simulation style handling model, meaning cars actually slide properly and experience wheelspin. Not only does this mean the haptic feedback is actually consistent, you know exactly how your tires are behaving based off of that feedback. The sad thing is that yes, Gran Turismo 4 did this better than GT7, as it's handling model much more closely resembles Forza, while not being as heavy on sliding and grip simulation, actually has wheelspin and cars that take effort to be controlled. Thought I'd correct myself
I remember loving C12 but also never finished it as a child because I was stuck at some part that was way too hard for me. I honestly don't even remember what where why...I probably just sucked!
SCEE Cambridge being Sony's premier 7/10 studio is so true. All their games were close to greatness but felt slightly janky and awkward to play, as if they needed another 6 months of development time to really take off. RIP.
Can I add Hogs of War to the wheel 😊 loved the game back in the day, basically worms in 3d with the late great Rik Mayall's voice. Plus it had a Geordie pig, which sold the game to me ha!
haha in trying to figure out why a video i could swear having seen was a new upload i briefly gaslit myself into believing the most recent one previous had actually been a japanese exclusives one
I'm definitely hitting having a Mandela Effect, in that as a fan of the SNES and the beat-em-ups on SNES, 20 years of emulation and archiving, I have never once played, seen, or heard discussed the game Legend. I feel like I napped too long and shifted dimensions.
We can still add to the wheel right, I found a game called Battle Hunter on the PSN store that I'm not going to buy because I'm never going to play it, unless its already on the wheel.
It's one of those series that super well known to folks of a certain age, and then practically unknown to younger generations so I'd say it fits the criteria for these videos anyway! So they'll likely show up sooner or later :)
BTW this is a reupload of the original video. Was it reploaded due to a copyright issue or hackers etc? No. I just accidently deleted this video instead of a tester I was working on.
I can't even be mad, I'm just dumb. (I am sad the comments are gone though, that kinda sucks)
Anyway whether you're watching this video for for the first time or rewatching this upload, appreciate you checking it out. ❤
This is truly one of the reasons to reupload a video of all time (I totally respect it, though)
this is still somehow TH-cam's fault
you'd reckon they'd warn you if it was a video with a lot of activity on it... or have an undelete moratorium or summin.
It happens, its sad but at least the video itself can be enjoyed. Gives me a reason to rewatch it at least lol.
hahaha oh my god that sucks!! hopefully these hiccups don't kill your momentum with this growth your channel has been getting!! I've been subbed for nearly 3 years and it's been awesome to see the numbers you can pull now

New sub here, the Algo sneaked this into my recommended so there's hope!
Couldn't have asked for a better way to enjoy my afternoon relaxing. Cheers buddy.

I would like to confirm that I totally missed the PS2 games gag last time I watched this and bark-laughed like a hyena. The hits keep comin.

Here's to many more years. It barely feels like it's already been a year since I've discovered this channel. Grateful my go-to for long content.
Volume 15: you love to see it. Thanks for keeping the lamp burning for the Playstation 1.
I _LOVE_ Legend's intro. Just bust into an empty church, do some sweet Karate moves, then leave. *HEROIC!* 😄

Ay thanks for watching man! Yeah it was an episode full of 'good' jank, the true spirit of the PS1 :)
A Stumble Stumbleson moment.
Well, time to rewatch.
As a kid i loved Legend! such an obscure game, never knew anybody that played it

The music building up as you progress through a level is such an insane touch, even by today's standards
It's Sean Seanson time! I love your videos mate, thank you. Edit: Just realised the re-upload. Will watch again anyway.
Love this series and this channel deeply. Always teaches me something new about my favorite console and its library. Thanks for being you sean! Love the vid!
thank you, this channel is a breath of fresh air in the current gaming market
I'm re-watching this, no prob. Thanks for reuploading it! btw you should definetely check out some English patched psx games like Zill o' infinite, GERMS or Addie no Okurimono if you haven't already, I think you'll love them
Oh wow. Wasn’t expecting a video today. It’s always a treat when you upload!
I dinged the bell to get all notifications. Every upload is worth the watch! Love this obscure ps1 you are showcasing!
Appreciate you watching! :)
Ah well, it happens. Now I have an excuse to rewatch it.
I'd like the submit Zaboomafoo for the PS1 to the wheel! Just binged this whole series, and love the whole channel!
You got it chief! Thanks for watching :)
STILL APPRECIATE YA SEAN , MISTAKES HAPPEN LOL, keep up the awesome content :)
I'm pretty sure i had Legend on the PS1 back in the day, you just unlocked an ancient buried memory in my brain.
I’m really glad I discovered your channel. Your editing and scripts are really high quality, and remind me of Game Sack. Keep up the awesome work!
Finally caught up on the playlist, can't wait for the next video! This has been a great series thusfar :3

Herc’s adventures
Looney tunes Sheep raider
Machine hunter
NHL rock the rink

so good im gonna watch it twice!
Great video as always just curious what app or site do you use for the wheel randomizer want to use something like it as a way to go thru my backlog
Theres a bunch of wheel sites out there, but Wheelofnames if the one I use :)
Can I add Total Drivin to the wheel? Used to love that game as a kid, so very curious if it held up at all.

Ghosthunter was great! I loved every minute of it. Plus it had one of the best protagonist names in a video game. Lazarus Jones.

My brain at random points of the day : 🎶 burninngg roaadd!!🎵
Ah man, Alien Breed and Chaos Engine were some of my favorite games on Amiga, Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe might take my top spot
I love this channel
SCEE Cambridge being Sony's premier 7/10 studio is so true. All their games were close to greatness but felt slightly janky and awkward to play, as if they needed another 6 months of development time to really take off. RIP.
Can I add Hogs of War to the wheel 😊 loved the game back in the day, basically worms in 3d with the late great Rik Mayall's voice. Plus it had a Geordie pig, which sold the game to me ha!
You sure can! I'll get that added for you now. Appreciate you watching :)
Note to self coming back to this video after work @35:00 to get the song 😂
1:28 Looks like the undead parish in dark souls
They should reboot Loaded as a twin stick roguelike. Would be perfect!
haha in trying to figure out why a video i could swear having seen was a new upload i briefly gaslit myself into believing the most recent one previous had actually been a japanese exclusives one
Absolute Legend.
I'm definitely hitting having a Mandela Effect, in that as a fan of the SNES and the beat-em-ups on SNES, 20 years of emulation and archiving, I have never once played, seen, or heard discussed the game Legend. I feel like I napped too long and shifted dimensions.
We rewatching!
We can still add to the wheel right, I found a game called Battle Hunter on the PSN store that I'm not going to buy because I'm never going to play it, unless its already on the wheel.
Yep you sure can! I'll get it added for you now :)
Nathan!
Good episode
Love your stuff! I hope you feature Xenocracy soon
will leave the video running for the analytics
Thank you for not reinventing the wheel 🎉❤
Would Wing Commander 3 and 4 ports on ps1 be considered forgotten enough? If so I hope the get on the wheel eventually
It's one of those series that super well known to folks of a certain age, and then practically unknown to younger generations so I'd say it fits the criteria for these videos anyway! So they'll likely show up sooner or later :)
As time goes on, I appreciate the things that didnt try and reinvent the wheel. I feel like games peaked around the ps1-ps2 days.
Yes Medieval 2 is an amazing game. Better than the first
What is the game seen before Ridge Racer at 33:28?
That's the original Motor Toon Grand Prix, it launched with the console in Japan in 1994
I was so excited for a new video, but it's just a re-upload. Oh well, guess I'll watch it again anyway.
Awesome video as always 😊 Out of curiosity what is the name of the game shown at 1:14:41?
Thank you! The game is Omega Boost, its VERY good.
@@SeanSeanson Thank you, it looks awesome! Will have a look for it.
1:38:04 you've been looking for this timestamp
C12 dialogue sounded at times like a Frasier episode lol
What game on 0:20 ? I played it in childhood but can't remember the name 😢
Danger Girl :)
Our lord and savior@@SeanSeanson thank you very much!
No new cat footage? *Council of Fluffballs isn't pleased.*
Good video. I own all 5
Have I deja vu or I saw that Legend review in one of your previous videos?
This vid is a reupload since the original got deleted, so don't worry you're not going crazy.
I watched "Monty Python's Life of Brian" yesterday. One of my new favourite films.
It's very very good
@@SeanSeanson
It also has the best Deus Ex Machina of all time. 🤣
That's a good movie.
