They definitely mismatch the forks on some of the bikes, I swapped mine around like yours, and that is the correct way to do it. Great job! I love the look of yours!
i think that i am having the same issue. My forks are on the opposite side and my balance is way off in the front. i cannot seem to get it corrected. I will try swapping them like his.

I chose the Maddog over Ruckus because of the length (I tested both, and the Ruckus is too short for me. I need to keep my legs extended more, and the Maddog also came with the foot pegs preinstalled so I could test it. I am really enjoying it.

a 5.75 headlight fits right on the stock headlight bucket. Its just 3 clips holding the light in. Add a dc switch kit tho or youll have issues big time.

The gen 5 has 14 inch rims. That’s why the front forks are swapped. The tire comes too close to the frame if you flip it like this guy. Why get the gen5 if you were going to swap wheels. No big difference between gen 4 and 5. Most of the differences are only cosmetic.
@@blessedexpress4476 Good luck getting that 12 wide on a gy6! The motor would have to be moved 5 inches further out to get the tire close to centerline. Even then I don’t think you’ll be able to clear the oil fill tube. I can’t see it looking right having most of the motor and trans outside the bike. If you go with a 12x7 3-4 offset ( also listed as 4-3 offset, the valve stem will end up on the hub side ) and a 140-70-12 for the rubber. It will fit with a new hub. I got the MoJo hub and a regular Douglas wheel ( Douglas wheels have flat faces so flipping to the other side is no big deal, just don’t forget the flat face lug nuts ). That combo landed me pretty close to center line on the bike, no need for shims of modifications to the frame. The 140/70 is a stretch but it just barely clears the motor. Good luck, hope I helped in some way.

Some have gone to the 12x8 but that requires mods to the frame along with the hub and axle. Chuckuslife.com has a good wright up on how to do it. I just went the easy way and stuck with a 12x7. That’s about all I know about the tire setups on these things. You can try to call monstergy6.com for more information. They seem to have dealt with these chucks more than Dorby, RollingWrench, or ButnoutBobby. I never really tried the anywhere else as they seemed more like parts dealers, but everyone I did contact was really cool and helped as much as they could. I’ve rebuilt my gen 5 ground up. Not a nut or bolt I haven’t taken off. You can peek my old setup on SmallEngineVelocitys channel here on TH-cam. It was the only Icebear in the trilogy brew meet up.

i did't add fluid not spacers to the shocks. Just turned them around. Can't remember the wiring but i could probably make another video.

Just take the forks out and put them on the other sides. Then flip the wheel. Done.
