    Here in the UK, Pozidriv screws are very common. #2 PZ is the most common head for general--purpose woodwork and construction screws, though Phillips is more common in mechanics and appliances. I keep PZ screwdrivers in my general building and carpentry toolboxes, not my mechanics toolboxes. As you point out, a Phillips driver will work in a Pozi screw, though it's not ideal. What definitely doesn't work is the other way round, i.e. trying to jam a Pozi driver into a Phillips screw. That is a surefire way to chew up your screw heads!

      @TonyTheTechnician  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya that is very true. Thank you for sharing and ya a PZ bit doesnt fit a PH very well at all lol. Idk how many times I've accidentally grabbed a pz bit for a Phillips head and was like that's doesn't fit well at all lol

    Thanks for another excellent review! I watch a lot of tool videos, & yours are some of the best & most enjoyable to watch! Wish I had known about these sets before I bought some fairly expensive small JIS bits.🙁 From what I understand from doing some research & reading the comments here & from other videos, all Vessel Phillips bits are actually JIS even though they are no longer labeled as JIS. These long bits appear to be of high quality & very sturdy & I really like the handle design. Seriously considering getting either this set or the ratcheting set. Thanks again! 🙂

    Buy the strike through version of this tool....it just feels better with a bit more weight. But the 2200w is good too.

    I picked up one of these about 6 mo ago and I loved it. Craftsman has a version of this that is clearly made by Vessel for Craftsman and it is usually a few bucks cheaper. I picked up a few more of those as well. I found you can use Bosch long impact bits in these as well. Im not a multi-bit screw driver type guy as well but I highly recommend these. I like the form of this driver and I like the idea I can use a fresh bit when I need a good fit on a delicate screw.

      Very nice. That's awesome to hear and glad you enjoy it as well. And yes the Craftsman one is made by Vessel but is more geared towards diyers bc if I remember correctly that one does not have a metal sleeve it has a plastic sleeve inside. But that is great info to know about the bits. Thank you for sharing that

    Hello again Tony
    Thank you for another Great Video 👍 I agree with you about having multiple bits. In aircraft maintenance you almost can't survive without them. Although these you see me using them in a Speed Handle etc. Good advice as always 😊 Again thank you

    I have recently come across your videos, which I find very informative. I did purchase the Vessel Ball grip (power). What bits would you recommend for the driver? Mostly looking for something that have torx head.

    Cool. I wonder if I can use my HF 3" security bits with the Ball Grip. I think the distance of the retention notch on bit from the inserted end is different for the Japan bits (a different standard).

    • @TonyTheTechnician
      @TonyTheTechnician  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks and that's a good question. They may work but I'll have to dig into it and see if the distances are different. Another viewer said they use bosch bits in it and it works well

    • @MarzNet256
      @MarzNet256 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TonyTheTechnician So I just checked: The US bits have are 9.5mm from center of notch to end (Type A). The Japan bits are 13mm for same measurement (Type B). Therefore, you can run US bits in the Japan drivers but not the other way around.

    Great video and this is a GREAT recommendation! I've had this set for a couple years and just love it: I think it is a necessary driver for anyone who works on Japanese engines. I bought it after some Toyota IAC valve screws broke two of my JIS bits: I put this Vessel to work on those screws and it had them free instantly. It hasn't failed me since. Here it is in action on those IAC valve screws if anyone needs an idea of how well these grip JIS fasteners (these fasteners are notoriously hard to open):

    Your 220W kit here and the Vessel 920 Megadora Stubby are indispensable if you work on Toyotas. Vessel makes some really good stuff - and you make great videos! : )

      @ L35 in Colorado Love your videos & great to hear that you also recommend Vessel drivers...definitely going to pick up a set! (From a fellow female tool lover/mechanic...I'm just a DIY'er, but I am ASE certified back from when I used to be a service writer/parts specialist. 🙂) Folks, if you haven't watched this lady's videos, you have to check them out!!! Not only does she make brilliant detailed repair videos, she also has incredibly detailed responses to comments/questions!💯🪛🙂

    This is not someones go to screwdriver. Its a versatile 'someone needs a screwdriver, do you have one I can borrow' Driver.
    I almost got this one, but went with the Wera 051024 Kraftform Kompakt.
    This has advantages, but so does the Wera.
    My Wera gets used more by others than me, but has the disadvantage of the diameter of the chuck at the end. This fits more places, but does not have the cool bit storage of the Wera.
    My preference is a solid shaft dedicated driver too

    • @TonyTheTechnician
      @TonyTheTechnician  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya both have pros and cons for sure and both are great multi bit drivers. I also really like built in bit storage. It's so handy. But ya I just prefer a solid driver. Thanks for sharing your thoughts as well. Always appreciated
