I just bought this same model a week ago. I have had no problem finding neutral. The mirrors were a challenge, the right is fixed, so adjust your handlebars to line it up. Then you adjust the left. There is also a hex nut under the rubber seal near the mirror mount.

Appreciated your video and comments. I recently purchased a 2016 Multi S pre-owned at a great price. Not sure I would have bought new and paid full price. I've been riding Harley's for years and still kept my CVO Road Glide. I plan on keeping both for different reasons. The Harley is a great cruiser for pegging it at 80mph and going on a 500 mile trip. In addition, reliability has greatly improved. At 800+ pounds it is a handful as a daily driver. The Ducati is perfect for my 10 mile rides to work and carving up canyons in Northern Colorado. The Harley, not so much. I tolerate all the shortcomings you mention but the offset is great handling, comfortable as hell and a beautiful bike. The previous owner had extra gel padding sewn into the original seat and I suppose this helps. The Harley and Ducati are at opposite
ends of the spectrum regarding RPM riding and I am adapting....been fun. Thanks again for the video and your time.

Made me laugh. Reminded me of when my friend tried to ride my Multi when I first got it. Urban reduces power and takes a lot away from the bike. I never use it. By the way, urban defaults to no tach but you can override it in settings. Neutral is tight when you first get it but after a few hundred miles it brakes in and slides into neutral easily. I don't get any of the vibration you talked about. I do get some vibration under 3500 RPM, but not over. Its got a ton of power. I sometimes bang the throttle on the way home from work and will hit a quick wheelie just to tease my friend on his BMW 1200 RT.

Yes, the vibrations are from a V twin, it is like that. And the neutral is common known issue from almost every ducati, you learn to live with it, and it is easier if you do the neutral before the complete stop

I just bought a 2016 Multistrada 1200S and do not notice any vibration (the Suzuki V Strom 1000 I just sold has massive vibrations around 3000 rpm) and haven’t had any issues finding neutral either.

If the guy in the vid complaints about vibrations....Well. It's a twin. SHOULD vibrate.

yeah. And it is obvious that a twin has vibrations. And it is a MOTORCYCLE.

I'm going to be straight foward, you belong on top af a 4 cilinder japanese bike, if you don't enjoy the beauty of the L2 twin DVT

Actually I'm really happy on the Triumph 3 cylinder engines. Both my Street Triple R and the new Tiger I have my eye on are just so creamy smooth. Fantastic engines. I admit fully that the "character" of some engines is completely lost on me :( As they say though, to each their own! How boring would it be if we all rode the same bike?

Funny i just test rode a bike just like this yesterday and i agree with everything your said :) what's up with the seat vibrations?? Does no-one at ducati mention this to designers? Very comfy seat and ride and torquey but the price combined with the seat and lack of a quick shifter leave me wondering why i wouldn't just get a gs 1200 for less dosh

If you don't care about it or prefer something with that character I can totally see the appeal. I'll stick with my new Tiger 800 XRt though, smooth as silk but still lets you know it's alive when you get on it. Much more refined.

Windy Run It gives you a “crotch feel” sense of the RPM’s. At highway speeds and 6th gear is as smooth as a BMW. But it can also do enduro.

Check out a yamaha FZ09 or 10...very comfy or one of the BMW uprights...I agree the street triple is not a great touring bike. The Aprillia Shiver 750 is also a cool bike and cheap if you get one used.

The RedHead Rides Haven't heard that many good things about the FZ's suspension. I think the new ones are better though. The FJ might be more my speed.

Well at least you knwo what you wnt...I have a bunch of friends with FZ's and theres a group of peeps that are building them and racing them. But get what you want!!! As long as your comfortable and not in pain in your back. I can't wit to see...I too am looking for an upright bike.

I take it you have never ridden a Ducati if you are having a hard time finding neutral.

I had a 2015 1200S MS. The Skyhook suspension was a joke - it just wanted to do tank slappies - a Ducati that doesn't handle, doh. The throttle maps meant that any little old lady in a Prius could out drag me at the lights - simply dangerous. Parts, like the clutch slave cylinder are made out of cocoa tin and leak all the time. I did an oil change at 5,000 miles and found the drain bolt magnet covered in bits of steel up to 1/4 inch long. How journalists have the nerve to praise such a piece of junk is beyond me.

If you complain about vibrations and transmition on propably the most tame, smooth and "japanised" Ducati just look elsewhere.Honestly you wouldnt make it more than 10 minutes on an older model.Heavy clutch, harsh trasmition, jerking and kicking, uncomfortable as fuck and hot as hell.Thats propably the smoothest bike that comes from Ducati.Look at the FJ-09 really smooth triple and very affordable.

You are so right!! This is my issue with Ducati's, that and the whole dry clutch thing they sound turrible!!

Its a love-hate kinda thing...they are certainly not for everyone.Newer ones are quite different thought.Much smoother and friendly.
