    Picked up the 2016 MS Enduro last year in near new condition also and very low km's. Been up and down some trails here in British Columbia that I am 100% sure it was not in its happy space but it dealt with it. Given my partner and I both dropped our bikes, his a 2019 GSA, they both felt similarly heavy, approximately equivalent to push-starting a motorhome up hill, but when it came to opening up on the long ride home, there was really nothing more satisfying than pulling away from the GSA at EVERY opportunity. Given my current ambitions and impressions of riding ducati's, I think I will probably stay loyal to the brand as that new Desert X seems to shed some of the pounds while keeping a lot of what makes the Ducati MS Enduro such a treat.
    Great video Bike World, look forward to seeing more!

    I have the 1260 version of the bike in the same configuration and have also owned the GS and GSA. I couldn’t agree with you more about the confidence the chassis and the bike overall inspires in sketchy weather and challenging road conditions. I’ve been caught in freezing rain as well as post-blizzard (sanded highways and freezing bridge decks) and have always felt secure, given the handling characteristics. I’m about the same height (and shrinking) and found that the sleight sense of reaching for the bars largely disappeared when I switched back from the lowered seat to the standard seat after a few months of acclimation to the rather tall, heavy bike. (Plus, I believe Ducati made sleight changes in the actual stand over height for the 1260 version). The sound and tractability of that L-twin engine are addictive, and the front end compression sets it apart from its Bavarian counterpart. I’ve come close to and occasionally actually purchased bikes following your reviews, and am thankful I don’t have to go buy yet another one today :)

    Currently own this beauty ! Got a 2500 mile run bike for a steal . Absolutely love it to bits , though it can a bit handful considering the seat height and it being top heavy . Handles like a sports bike and the acceleration on the highways is just mind blowing. Snob value is pretty high too . Absolutely worth it 👌🏽

    Man you nailed it on this review. I still miss my Enduro, she did great long wheelies also. On a hot day in traffic the Cat is a nightmare frigging hot on the left lower leg, maybe not an issue in the UK. Very few negatives on this bike. Other than insanely top heavy if you fill her up to the max. The electronics are epic! I loved that you could set each riding mode to your own parameters. And I grew to love the Ugly duckling looks.

    Ducati lover here !! Budget dictates buying used !! We just bought a 2015 multistrada 1200 s only 21.000 miles !! BTW it is white , looking to put big miles on it this second summer!! Paid 10 grand for it and it is a fabulous machine!!😀😀😀🏍🏍🍺🍺🍺

    True word about warranty, my KTM shat its gearbox 9k miles I'd had it 6 months second hand. Due it's full service they repaired it and only charged me labour cost! 👍

    I don't understand how this channel only has 230k subs!! Mind boggling! Given the choice of a channel to watch this is my top pick! Love the hooligan video with the Ducati hypermotard 😍. Still a sucker for that monster tho, I could look at that thing all dman day!

      @@BikeWorldTVshow The other way is to get a list of bikes that are available and put a poll up on another vid of which ones the viewers want Chris\Neil\BJ to try out.
      Something from the 125cc section, might help the new riders when they are heading to the used market.
      My choice of bikes would be a gen 1 MT09 and GSXS1000, both readily available and not wallet exploding in price.
      All the best and thanks for all the content you are getting out to us.

    • @TheKez1a
      @TheKez1a 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BikeWorldTVshow I second the 1st/ 2nd Gen MT09, I also think a good retrospect would be those 2011/12 1000cc Super bikes (Zx10r/ S1000rr/ RSV4/ F4RR/ 1199) with those first gen electronic aides (TC/ Quick shifters/ ABS/ Launch control) that started to become mainstream around that time. I remember allot of talk questioning the reliability/ serviceability of those new electronics. Also it would be nice to see how the older electronics stack up to the modern stuff.

    Awesome vid as always. For me, I am shying away from all this tech. Riding in Mexico, the last thing I want is a breakdown (because it's very hot and dealerships can be far away - not security issues). For me ADV should be like a doomsday bike - unkillable. KLR type of thing you can fix roadside, anywhere. This level of 5-year old gizmodiotry gives me anxiety - but I do see it's a sweet bike and deal.

    • @Schleberger
      @Schleberger 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Multi is definitely not your traditional ADV, but some sort of ADV-sportbike hybrid. Absolutely amazing for crushing some mountain passes in the Alps where I live, but definitely less off a "doomsday bike".

    If the bike hasn't gone through any accidents, and was properly maintained with documents. I see no problem in purchasing one 2nd hand. Many a times, it comes out as a good deal.

    My experience of BMW on “goodwill” gestures is dire and the extended warranty limits cover to exclude poor design such as the exhaust flap valve. The latter is a whopping £1,800 fitted.

    How does vehicle registration work over there? The datatag sounds like it does the same thing that our regular old license plates do here across the pond. One registers a vehicle in their name, and when its sold, it changes to the new owner.

    Was shortlisting, bikes and decided that I really wanted to buy a Multistrada, took it for a test drive.... Found a mint "dealer serviced" low mileage bike. Great power and character, but it broke down on my test drive. Which meant that it totally lost its appeal.... Sorry Ducati.... You still haven't matched up to the standard for reliability.
