This is the first TH-cam video I have responded to. I too am a Catholic Convert. I was a Protestant Pastor for 10 years. I have taken the difficult journey ...home.
Protestant turned atheist, now considering Catholicism. I intend to go to my local mass this weekend and see how it is. I am a sinner and it torments me every day, so I need a community that can make me into a better man. In studying history I came to realize how much the Catholics civilized the West. The music, history, cathedrals, tradition, etc. of the Catholics are also much more nourishing than the Protestants.
@June061944DDay Yeap, watching this gets me sentimental. I was a catholic doubting Thomas. Stubborn and locked away. I couldn't understand mass and it simply wouldn't sink in. I never accepted other churches and the Protestant propaganda against Catholicism drew me even further away. One good day, tired of being fed up I bought a book by Leo Trece "faith explained" I read and re-read until my heart was drenched in it. I then did all the book instructed and returned home with Joy.
Its sad how other religions talk bad about us and know more about satan rather than god ,jesus ,love and forgiveness be strong catholics because lots of people will try to bring your faith down
I grew up in a Protestant family but I myself converted to Catholicism a year and a half ago. It was the best decision that I ever made! So many questions that I had have been answered, and I know in my heart and soul that I made the right choice!
former protestants converted catholics make great catholics and they have a very deep knowlege of scriptures and along with the sacraments and catholic liturgy vitalize the Christ s church and may they help bringing back home so many good hearted protestants..may God bless you all
I converted from Agnostic to Lutheran Protestant to Catholic, which is my final place. The things that I note as major differences between the later two are the Communion and role of Mary, Mother of God, as well as that of the Saints. I also like the lithurgical ways of the Catholic mass, which to me are less emotional and more repetitive than the worship of the Lutheran Protestant Church.
I was born Catholic and I am ashamed to admit that I left the Church when I was young, never even went to catechism. Last year I came back home and it is the best decision of my life, today I am attending catechism for confirmation and I am happy.
I came back to the Church just this past lent, after a nearly 30 year absence: all of my adult life. I feel renewed in mind and spirit. It is happening to many I believe. Our local churches are full!
I too converted to the Catholic faith last year when I watched Pope Benedict in the UK on TV.(rec on video) I always liked Pope John Paul but last year I was totally captivated, and finally at The Sacred Heart RC Church in Dereham Norfolk I was Confirmed this Easter. It was a lovely experience for me. This video was beautiful !
After slowly coming to the realisation that indeed Jesus founded a true & living Church on the apostles which through apostolic succession is still here on earth today preaching the true Gospel I was baptised into the Catholic Church on the 24th of May, 2009. It was the most beautiful day of my life & I thank God everyday for the blessing of being united to Jesus through prayer & the Sacraments.
It's amazing that just last year, the Church has seen growth in SE Asia and Africa and of all places the US. Even if it's seen some decline in S.America and Europe, that will change,I'm even more confident of that today more than ever. .It's great to not only have faith, but have faith in what is true.Truth is what the Church has brought back to my faith.
After watching this, I always feel my heart warm up and an uplifting feeling begins to swell... anybody else feel the same? I've also read the stories of the converts listed here. You guys gotta Google and wikipedia them.
A few more...St Edith Stein (Jewish to Catholic), Henry Ford Sr., and all those who Bishop Fulton Sheen evangelized and brought Home to the Catholic Church....It is difficult to be a Catholic now, so I thank you for this inspiring video.
Thanks for this video. I didn't know many of the names or people. But is was so wonderful to see their journey to Catholicism and was quite surprise by many of famous people. This is the fist step to get to Home. God blessed them all!!
WELCOME HOME BROTHERS AND SISTERS!! Let us pray for one another, that we might persevere in this valley of tears until the Lord Jesus calls us into eternity.
Do you still need help brother..perhaps the apostles creed would help?... the Niceen creed?...the letters of Ignatius, Clement, Polycarp, Irenaeus, Justin martyr?...perhaps the fact that the bible is a Catholic book?...Perhaps that the intire Christianity for 1500 years knew nothing of the faith the protestants confess today?
Pray for all those who are either still protestant, or catholics, who by their ignorance have left the church. I see people wearing dunce caps everywhere!
Glory be to Jesus Christ, the Only and sufficient Saviour who satisfied these hungry hearts with gifts of finest wheat. Hail His One and True Church, upon Peter built.
i respected every religion every believers.Catholic religion is true religion,we can't come close to GOD if without assistance from Saint especially come to Mary she's will lead us to GOD," remembers the wedding feed in Cana" story? so come to Mary and pray Rosary every days and she will help, she's gave 15 promises to those who are pray Rosary every days.
Great video. Lots of happy, smiling Catholic converts from many different walks of life and faiths. Wonderful to know that Dali (re)converted and that Norma McCorvey of Roe v. Wade fame is Catholic and pro-life.
Truly the Holy Spirit guided them all to the Church with more revelations of truth from heaven.Who is founded by the Rock chosen by our Jesus Christ. It is not them who choose but our Father Almighty called them all to be a part of HIS family. Thank you Jesus. God bless them all.
Despite all the media attacks and the relentless lullification of our faith by movies such as da vinci code, the last exorcism the faith remains and even grows stronger. I was even surprised to see Tony Blair become Catholic. I belief Catholicism is indeed the right way to follow Jesus, honor Mary and receive the Holy Spirit.
@spywareboss yup nothing like veneration the mother of god the Blessed Virgin I just love these words right out of the bible don't you I'm sure Yeshua does to, Hail, Mary, full of grace; the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Yeshua. Amen.
THis is so beautiful, really lovely, I was Confirmed at the Easter mass in Norfolk UK, and it was truly lovely, for me. Our church and priest was a model of guidance and help. Bless them all.
A couple more awesome converts: Arnold Lunn and Benedit Ashley (still living). There's a portuguese called Zita Seabra who like Ashley fought bravely for socialism. Ashley is a monk and a brilliant intellectual, just as Seabra went on to found a catholic-related publishing house. Also, this Gift of Finest Wheat rendition is truly remarkable, do you know the name of the album? Thanks
welcome home then and 1Peter 3:15...Always be prepared to make a defense to anyone who calls you to account for the hope that is in you, yet do it with gentleness and reverence.
Our Church is beautiful. She is one in her diversity. It is worth while being a living stone within her. Congratulation on your video. It is a fine "fresco" of the Holy Spirit's breath. Needless to say it is a non-exhaustive list and I doubt that a whole library could have contained the complete list. Bytheway I would remember "Alphonse Ratisbonne" and "Bruno Cornacchiola", too. Greetings from Italy
I am forever a faithful servant of God because I was born to a Catholic Church...I have a fear of failing God because I was tought in bible study all about the Bible and was read well in Church daily. Thank God for his Love for Us.
History informs us that Peter was the bishop of Antioch at the time; in fact, Church Fathers claim that Ignatius was ordained by Peter himself. Ignatius must have worshiped with Peter and Paul and John. He lived with or near them and was an understudy of these special apostles. Ignatius is known and revered as an authentic witness to the traditions and practice of the apostles.
@Rosnaga888 Protestantism has the same arguments stuck in various places in the world. Show me in the Bible, where is prohibiting baptize childrens.Families whole were baptized (Acts 16:15).
You should update the photos (especially of Scott Hahn! Holy mackeral). Also, you forgot to include: Mortimer J. Adler (philosopher, former editor of Encyclopedia Britannica), Sheldon Vanauken (friend of C.S. Lewis and author of "A Severe Mercy", Thomas Howard (literature professor, brother of well-known missionary Elizabeth Elliot)
...blessed is me for I am a catholic...what a privilege to be in communion with the Holy Pope... Long Live The Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church of Christ....Gloria Patri et Filio et Spiritui Sancto...sicut erat in principio et nunc et semper et in saecula saecolorum Amen.
Thank you for posting this video, as it was very informative. For example, I knew Norma McCorvey (i.e. "Roe" of Roe v Wade) converted to Christianity, but I was unaware of her entering into Communion with Rome. The same is the case with Abdur-Rahman. As for Sam Brownback, Robert Bork, and Lawrence Kudlow, reading about their conversions (after finding out about them in this video) introduced me to a common source of guidance among them: Father C. John McCloskey.
@pretendedfather Case of Prelate Rabbi Ephraim Goldberg - Boca Raton, Flordia (Pled guilty to one misdemeanor count of exposure of sexual organs in a washroom at a Palm Beach Mall.)
Help Please. Loads of My Friends are Protestant. One keeps slagging me off Because of My Religion (Not directly, But being insulting) Can someone Please tell me something that will Make impact and Make her stop. She comes from a Very Bigoted Area. I just don't want to feel as If I have to change. I want to Feel Proud of who I am. Thanks, It took Courage To do this.
re. Tony Blair, it may surprise people that it is still illegal for a Catholic to become Prime Minister of England or King/Queen and quite recently we have had two notable examples of Catholics renouncing their faith when they married members of the Royal Family who were in the line of succession to the throne. I liked the video and would also say welcome home especially to any of my fellow countrymen or countrywomen from Wales. Cartref yn croesawu! Gogoniant i Dduw yn y Goruchaf! Paul Leo
I had no idea that many of these people converted to the Catholicism. Bob Hope waited until the last minute, on his death bed. How sad that he missed out on the sacraments all those years. For those that have gone before us - be an example to those that follow and one day the communion of saints will all join in singing Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty! See you there. Psalm
@martlut also an example of confession can be found in the parable of the lost son in the book of luke. We also must return to Him as in the parable of the lost son. Just as the son reconciled with his father, so must we reconcile with our Almighty Father. By going to confession, we return to Him and ask forgiveness from Him, modeled after the lost son going back to his father and asking forgiveness from him.
@martlut actually I keep myself in subjection to council. in any dispute I lean on the notes in my study Bibles for clarificatiron and I will readt the line, paragraph and if neccisay chapter and book to makes sure I am in context. I will not make refrance to notes were there were not at least 25 contributors. (Prov 24:6,11,12) That is, I rely on the consel of the exegetes who wrote the notes. but b4 I do that I make sure it agrees with the text. 1Cor 9:12-18
This is the first TH-cam video I have responded to. I too am a Catholic Convert. I was a Protestant Pastor for 10 years. I have taken the difficult journey ...home.
wow! Im a Convert to Catholisism from Protestant Baptist. god Bless!
I was raised Lutheran but I became Catholic about 8 years ago, and this video is awesome! I love being Catholic!
Protestant turned atheist, now considering Catholicism. I intend to go to my local mass this weekend and see how it is. That's great! One thing we also desperately need is people to convert from being Lukewarm Catholics to Faithful Catholics.
Catholic "convert" here. From Catholic to Secular Agnostic back to Catholic. God Bless the Holy Catholic Church!
I'm Jew, devoted catholic
@June061944DDay Yeap, watching this gets me sentimental. I was a catholic doubting Thomas. Stubborn and locked away. I couldn't understand mass and it simply wouldn't sink in. To study history, is to become Catholic. Welcome home brothers & sisters.
CATHOLIC FOREVER - TRUE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST.
I grew up in a Protestant family but I myself converted to Catholicism a year and a half ago. It was the best decision that I ever made! So many questions that I had have been answered, and I know in my heart and soul that I made the right choice!

From atheist to catholic, after giving it a good portion of thinking. Feels like home :)
I'm a convert to Catholicism. Became incorperated into the Church last Easter!
I came back to the Church just this past lent, after a nearly 30 year absence: all of my adult life. I feel renewed in mind and spirit. It is happening to many I believe. Our local churches are full!

Please convert to the catholic church it is the true church.

Converted from Presbyterian to Catholic in 1991, which was when my life started to take wing.
After watching this, I always feel my heart warm up and an uplifting feeling begins to swell... anybody else feel the same? I've also read the stories of the converts listed here. You guys gotta Google and wikipedia them.
Don't forget Oscar Wilde. He led a long life of debauchery, aimless morality and self struggle, and came home to the Church at his eleventh hour.
I will be attending an RCIA course starting next month :)
I am proud to be catholic!
I'm in the process of converting to catholism so this video was very inspireing thanks for making it.
Im catholic and Im proud of it , nevertheless I highly respect other traditions different from mine. May Good and the Holly Virgin bless you all¡

WELCOME HOME BROTHERS AND SISTERS!! Let us pray for one another, that we might persevere in this valley of tears until the Lord Jesus calls us into eternity.
Glory to God Jesus, welcome back. I pray the same thing for my cousins to come back to the Church.

awesome !
I have observed that most catholic converts from other sects and religion became saints and blessed, if not, became cardinals or bishops.
This Video is great
Amém! Fico muito feliz!! I'm happy to catholic brasileira!
God bless, I love the song, and I love the images in this video.
Welcome home! Those are both great books. I was just listening to the audiobook version of The Lamb's Supper, another great work by Dr. Hahn.
