Eventually you want to get to where you don't have to knock door to clean windows. Knocking doors is effective and when a potential customer says ok to your offer then tell them what comes with your service, count up their windows and give them a price. One thing I’m seeing with a lot of these tutorials is that everyone keeps telling you to say “I’m in the neighborhood cleaning windows would you like your windows cleaned?” Or “would you like a quote” never give the customer the lead in the conversation once you ask a question you’re giving up so much leverage that you have on the sale try something along the line of “I’m in the area cleaning windows I see that your windows could use a good cleaning i can go ahead and give you a quote and get started right away”

Absolutely! I learned that my first year, never give them the option to say no. I love saying “I’m just cleaning your neighbours windows across the street, when was the last time you had it done” now they’ll answer 90% of the time the actual last time they had them done.

Very bad sales tactics no breaking the ice no name dropping etc youre minimizing your sales by being too direct and already having sales resistance the second you say the standard script.

Does name dropping really mean lying to the customer? Most times when people name drop that they helped a customer it is usually a lie
