The reason so is due to the fact that there wouldn't be a challenge if everything was a 1 shot sandbox, frankly asuras wrath gameplay proves this, but the boss fights are still so fucking cool.
Even though this game is almost 10 years old, Asura is still one of the top totem pole of "Power fantasy". Make no mistake, Asura is super strong, but his rivals are pretty darn legit too. And probably one of the few game characters can hang in comic / anime book verses (like Superman, Silver Surfer, DBZ etc). Might not win them all. But he will sure as hell make them work for it.

Augus was your standard battle hound. He liked a good fight and that was it. Yasha was... an interesting rival at least. He certainly came off as cocky at first (As in the first time you fight him), but he did get a redemption arc started almost right after that fight.

I never played this game but from what I've seen here, it sounds like a game about an angry dad destroying people who call themselves gods with a serious face, destroying an actual god, and punching a few astronomical objects to smithereens along the way, all because they made his daughter sad. I'm all for it. Best story no contest. I totally understood why he punches so hard the moment I learned that, very realistic.
Everytime I come back to this it makes me smile everytime to know that bro was never truly mean he was just striving to fight for something to protect as every parent should. A great game.🙏🏿❤️

He’s probably the most powerful character in all of vidya game existence along side Demi Fiend from SMT 3 Nocturne, Ned Flanders from that simpsons fighting game, Kirbo, Kecleon from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, Caulder from Advanced wars days of ruin, Fillbuster Obstructia from the battle cats, Kratos from God of war, Ultimate armor X from Mega Man and Morshu from the legend of Zelda for the Philips cdi. Oh and there’s also Utsuho Reiuji from Touhou though I could be biased on that last one
Nothing is stronger than the fury of an angry parent seeing their child hurt. The lengths, struggle and sacrifice they would go to to make sure their child is safe and happy is so power and touching.

When a game seriously has a character shoryuken his way to the moon, then you know that it is beyond being "over the top".
I like how he says that he prays to no got and that he won't be prayed to that just shows his unbreakable will and that he is not a power hungry man like the others he just wants to protect his daughter in the most badass way possible

I never played this game but from what I've seen here, it sounds like a game about an angry dad destroying people who call themselves gods with a serious face, destroying an actual god, and punching a few astronomical objects to smithereens along the way, all because they made his daughter sad. I'm all for it. Best story no contest. I totally understood why he punches so hard the moment I learned that, very realistic.
Everytime I come back to this it makes me smile everytime to know that bro was never truly mean he was just striving to fight for something to protect as every parent should. A great game.🙏🏿❤️

He’s probably the most powerful character in all of vidya game existence along side Demi Fiend from SMT 3 Nocturne, Ned Flanders from that simpsons fighting game, Kirbo, Kecleon from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, Caulder from Advanced wars days of ruin, Fillbuster Obstructia from the battle cats, Kratos from God of war, Ultimate armor X from Mega Man and Morshu from the legend of Zelda for the Philips cdi.
