Thanks Derek...do like the Born even if it doesn't work for me but still like the look of it inside and out. Yup the tongue thing I do as well, as did my Dad when concentrating and don't even realise it. :)
Cheers mate I don't drive lol could you try one of these ? Geely's Galaxy E5 gets Aegis LFP battery with highest energy density EVER The Electric Viking
What’s the big deal? I have honestly NEVER used my rear window controls in any cat I’ve owned. Even if I needed to, and I had a two switch setup, it’s one extra button press, oh my god what a massive first world issue… I’m surprised some people of an age to drive are even capable of getting themselves out of bed and wiping their own arse these days.
VW are holding back on the Cupra brand so it doesn't outshine the VW cars. I find the VW EV lineups a bit boring. The Cupra has a chance to shine but is being purposely held back.
£47k to £50k fully specced- UK prices!!??. They are having a laugh! Good luck selling any without big discounts. The EV market is becoming mega competitive at present with ever bigger batteries, better efficiencies and longer ranges. All EVs generally drive well. Nothing much about this (looks nice and nice seats but a pretty dark uninspiring cabin) to qualify its big price tag. Dealers are nothing special either.
@@markymarkreviews I've just ordered one. After £4.5k deposit contribution, 0% APR and free charger, it's more like £38k. Nothing else comes close to that price for the spec.
Just noticed that offer a few days ago as well. Thought it would be for the “old” model but surprised to see it was for the VZ model also. Discount & 0%. Makes things interesting.
@iain8837 oh I see. Can you drive one pedal mode like Tesla? I'm considering getting a cupra born vz when my lease runs out on my Tesla model 3 performance. Would I be disappointed coming from tesla?
@@handleit I do not know if the VZ brings the car to a complete stop with one pedal driving, I have the standard Born and drive B mode "one pedal" when driving around town, and D mode when out of town, switching to B and back to D quite often for junctions/roundabouts etc, I very rarely press the brake pedal ever, as I don't like the spongy feel of it. B mode is not completely one pedal driving, it brings you down to walking pace, then you brake to stop, then with autohold on, you can take your foot off the brake. This works fine for me, some might really prefer a complete stop. I have heard a few people move from Tesla to Born and it's mostly positive. I would imaging the new software in the Born make the touchscreen better and more responsive, I don't have any problems with it and actually quite like it. I'm don't like the steering wheel buttons, but I don't use then that much. I would recommend a test drive first.
Awesome vid great Cupra born 🙌
Thanks! 👍
Afternoon mate yes it is a lot better than the ID.3

The standard born and its class.
Glad you kinda mentioned the paddles. Needs a bit more taking about surely?!
Absolutely when I have it for longer on Irish roads!
3 regen level settings.
Hi Derek..........did you mention the WLTP ??????
Also.......do we think this will be mid 50's when it lands in our shores??
I did 05:12 and I'd say it would be around that price hopefully a little cheaper
Clearly you didn’t watch the video.
@@NevoEVReviewIreland good old Ireland 🇮🇪........€60k!!

where are the rear air vents..
Oh, great question! I was in too much of a rush to notice
This, or Smart #3?
#3 for me probably. The haptic buttons and older software on the CUPRA is it's weakness
@@NevoEVReviewIreland Noted, thanks
Kia EV3 looks much better finished. VW will need to raise their game I think
Looking forward to driving the EV 3

@NevoEVReviewIreland, do you know if we're getting the ev5 in Ireland?
That new Kia design is not for everyones taste. I think it's pig ugly, including this EV3 but each to their own 😂
MG4 Tough competition … I nearly fell off my chair.
🤣🤣🤣

That is a very big price tag
@@markymarkreviews there isn’t much in that class though. 79kwh, up to 185kw charging, compact car.
@@markymarkreviews no one buys outright these days so overall price isn’t huge thing

VW would do with a EV Golf
What are the paddles on the steering wheel for?
Regen levels.

@iain8837 I do really love the design language of the car. Especially the vz with the forged alloys
