It's embarrassing to see the knockoff figure be more accurate than the official one from Hasbro... Anyways, thank you for the tutorial. Doing those figures justice
Idk why hasbro just didn't use the rex bly mold... it fixed all the problems the old mold had while still being movie accurate. This new mold is this wierd frankenstein of the clone wars proportions with the movie look. Small arms, big belly and unpainted brow on the phase 2 (despite the brow being molded)
I hope they stop using the new mold immediately. Black Series is a line which is based on realistic designs so I have no clue why they went with a Clone Wars look.

Further more, the helmet is more akin to the Clone Wars style with the features more stretched out and thin compared to the more compact movie design. Further more making it less realistic. I could go on, but it's changed, and its annoying considering Black Series has been about realism (even if its animated characters) so it's jarring they went for a CW design.
A good alternative to the gloss varnish is Pledge floor polish. It self-levels so you don't have to worry about unevenly applying it! That stuff worked wonders for my Bly's repainted visor.
Great work. Couple of questions please. How about the mobility? Head an torso are movable like “before fixing?” Being honest, I would not lower the torso, I think it would be less movable and more weak, but swap head and shoulders with a fake trooper (bought one for 3£) I think it is what I will do.
Ok, I will say it does look better with these mods, but I don't like that you loose articulation in the torso, shoulders and possibly the head. I think a sliding or shifting joint would help so that the torso could shift up and down, but that's something I'd have to figure out. I thought the stock figure was fine and I still think that, but I will say I like the mods in terms of the look. The original helmet was "oversized" because Hasbro wanted to give it a more realistic feel with a head in the helmet. Not that I'm excusing it, but that's just a collector's theory that a lot of people and myself have concluded. I'll probably have to figure out a way to get flexible shoulder pads because hard plastic ones will just hinder the shoulders. I have no idea why the chin detail wasn't painted, maybe it's a budget thing, maybe because they produce so many figures at a time they over looked it. Anything could've happened. Hell, they could've gone fore a more animated mixed with realistic look. That would be my guess anyway. I can't wait to do these mods for myself, thanks for sharing man!
Nice fix, the knockoff helmet is more accurate with the paint job but it looks more narrow. I wonder how it'd look if u kept the original helmet but improved the paint job on it.
Im watching Clone wars right now and the elbow pads are also misplaced. Should be on lower arm. I assume it might get in joint tho, so maybe put it over the armor?
I have a theory that the new mold is made for clone wars designs because the proportions are more cartoony and other than this phase one the only clones done on this mold is clone wars designs and they could've done the aotc clone to release an new plain white clone. Another thing to help my theory is the clone lieutenant which came out after the new mold and it is still being released. Could be me but I wouldn't be surprised if this is the clone wars mold and the old mold will be used fod movie clones
It's really weird/sad that fans and bootleggers do it better than the company that produces the stupid things. But I imagine they'll dry their eyes with the hundred dollar bills.
Great job! I think Hasbro should really listen to the fans and make accurate figures.

Hasbro needs to hire this guy😁😁 He is just amazing at this. Even the 3inch Revenge of the Sith clones were more accurate.
Thank you so much man! I agree. 3.75 clones are pretty solid

Amen. I've noticed that Hasbro's only used that mold for characters with specialized pauldrons. Not sure why they couldn't modify it.
To me it looks more like an actual human could be in it. I just prefer it just the elbow and kneepads are in the wrong spot
I hope they stop using the new mold immediately. Black Series is a line which is based on realistic designs so I have no clue why they went with a Clone Wars look.
@@JBonjubia they... Didn't? The new body looks just like the clones in the prequel movies. Nothing about that design is clone wars

They changed the mould to make a hybrid of movie and clone wars:
The design is more slim.
The underbelly is more prominent, which is innaccurate to the Clones in ROTS but accurate to the Clone Wars clones:
clonewars.fandom.com/wiki/Phase_II_Clone_Trooper_Armor
starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Phase_II_clone_trooper_armor
Notice the less noticable underbelly of the Movie one and the more prominent underbelly of the Clone Wars one (Underbelly = part beneath the chest armour)
Now look at this:

Me and the boys bout to Jedi Temple March up to Hasbro's HQ

Very nice man! Would love to see you post videos more often!

Oh shit i didn't realize you had a youtube! A fine addition to my subscriptions.
How’s you get the back ground of like the walls and stuff did you make it or order it some where I’m just curious where you got it from
stupid question but can you super glue shoulders since mine keep going up or would that mess up the figure?
Where can i get the hangar door? Because I can’t find it on etsy

Awesome job mate! How the heck does Hasbro stuff a basic Clone Trooper up?
Great tutorial! I’m definitely going to give this a try
Hey there, how or where did you get that backdrop? Thanks
So hyped for this video
Nice fix, the knockoff helmet is more accurate with the paint job but it looks more narrow. I wonder how it'd look if u kept the original helmet but improved the paint job on it.
is there a way of moving the belt up instead of cutting bits if the torso
No, that wouldn't work at all
Did you pasted the knee pads?
Im watching Clone wars right now and the elbow pads are also misplaced. Should be on lower arm. I assume it might get in joint tho, so maybe put it over the armor?
Elbow pads are correct. The Clone Wars show put them on the forearm, but the movie version is on the upper arm.
Awesome tutorial man! In your opinion, would you recommend these changes to fix the 332nd Clone (except the helmet)?
I love this i have soo many clone bodys but no new clones
So, I’m a little confused. How exactly does the Vaseline joint work?
Just fill the helmet with hot glue and put Vaseline on the ball peg so it doesn't get stuck to the hot glue and then you have a joint!
@@KaminoanCustoms wow that’s ingenious. Thank you for the tutorial I’m going to be putting it to work soon!
How can you tell between the knock off accurate version than the official black series one on eBay?
Knockoffs are the only ones selling for $15 on eBay haha
I wish someone made/sold cw versions of the p1 helmet
Awesome!!!, Love your customs
Weird how the new clone figure got the red dot on the back of the fin, but Hasbro forgot about the filter on the chin.

what did you search to find the knockoff version?
I show it in the video!
I don’t get the whole heads to big for the body thing, hasbro literally put a head under the helmet to show it to scale
the new knee joints is really disappointing, the old mold for rex cody etc is the best, hope they kept the old design
I feel like I’m the only one that liked the hasbro mold tbh. To me I like the way it is. The only downfall is the knee pads lol
great video ty!
I hate the soft material of the shoulder pads them being super soft
Boiling Clones = Cooking lobster
For the torso you look at a phase 2 clone not a phase 1 its not accurate
I'm not sure exactly what you mean there but it's the same armor just different helmets
Is it just me or does it seem funny that the less expensive knockoff figs are more detailed than the real, expensive figure?
The first version of the phase 1 Clone has the correct helmet under the chin (designed so a head can’t fit into it) 😂🤣
Removing extra glue of the head
It's really weird/sad that fans and bootleggers do it better than the company that produces the stupid things. But I imagine they'll dry their eyes with the hundred dollar bills.
The head is small on that body
My opinion is that it is much more properly sized, compare it to the actual film and it's perfectly sized. Original looks like a funko pop
When is anyone gonna get that these are not supposed to be based on the movie clones they are supposed to be based on the clone wars clones
It's literally branded as being from "attack of the clones" also these don't look anything like animated clones either. It's just a bad model
All this nonsense fixes 🙄
