Cause their cousins identical cousins indeed, they walk alike. The cat in the overalls looks just like Weems! Who wouldn't let him putt around on their bike? Wouldn't hesitate, ride on brother. Good dude...👍
i just looked up Forgotten Angels the stats are staggering. You're a good man and the and you prove the two-wheel bond brings people together. I wish they would bring back shop classes to give those born craftsman the confidence to move into the future.
The ONLY THING that Savage needs is a set of 12" over raked out springers on the front! Lots of chrome and a fishtail end can would finish the ARTWORK off nicely!
First time I ever rode a bike on my own was at a bike event.. I just looked for most inebriated person I could find and asked him if I could feel how his bike rode cos I wanted to get one like it.. he looks at me over a can of beer, tries to focus with all 3 eyes and dribblingly asks me, where my bike is, so i pointed into the parking at a thicket of bikes and said, "that one".. he asked me to show him the key and i showed him my key for the front door of my dads house but it had a kawasaki key ring on it.. he gave me the keys and said the Afrikaans equivalent of "let it rip".. and that was the first time I rode a bike alone.. no damage.. no scuffs.. just went for a sweet ride along the beach line.. and that was the day I found my form of therapy.. Now I sit here today with no bike.. just memories of bikes I had.. life sucks.. Uncle Jared, who wouldn't give you their bike? All you have to do is look into them big blue eyes and see that heart of gold shining through and bam! The keys come out..
I mean, I did name the bike 1 LOVE after all. :) Fun video. It took me right back to the campout. Can’t wait until March! I’ll leave the vicious Frenchies at home next time.
Make the Suzuki into a Weems chopper/bobber and give it back to Chey! Let her enjoy it and then she would probably auction it off for Forgotten Angels if she ever wanted to let it go. She may never let that one go though, it would be a very very special bike.
Weems, of course you can ride my bike, but no smokin' the tire, no doughnuts, no wheelies, and if you think that you want to put on some miles, lemme give you some bread for gas.😂
Chop it and rake it. Then Chey can have a chopper to ride while she works on hers. Then it can be raffled off in the future when the other build is done... Just a thought.
Thanks for the family reunion video! I guess tons of options for the Suzuki rebuild. Perhaps similar to Cheys current rebuild? They'd be like cousin bikes.
As you talk to most people at the campout... even me, an absolute stranger with the majority... They literally offer to let you ride their bike. Just like Diesel said there's a certain level of trust or feeling of family on those grounds that's unexplainable and is what makes it amazing. Try it at any other typical fest or bike night, and the outcome would more than likely be a bit different. LOL Cog's bomb was also CLASSIC.... I've yet to determine if he's a master or just has zero respect for personal space! 😂
Weems I'd let you ride any of my bikes without giving it a second thought. My only question would be, why do you want to ride my bike? Of course I'd have to reply that turn around is fair play. So we'd just have to trade rides and be even stevens. Loved the video and seeing some of the folks that gather together for a great time and cause. Keep wrenching and riding down in sunshiney Florida!
Chey,s Suzy Savage , digger style in Triumph nuclear red and gold leaf with a frog logo on tank , , either hardtail or extended swing arm , then what to do with it i would say raffle ut dividing it between Forgton Angels and a charity of your choice
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼 I let strangers ride my bike, only because I like to give them (usually the first) a right hand shift experience on a 1965 Triumph. Had 14 people ride around the Harley parking lot at the last taco Tuesday of the season.
Maybe a wee bit o bias on my part. But I feel the answers given to you, by mostly ladies at an event that is fundamentally a positive and good natured community fundraiser, will be significantly different than if you tried that at a bike night, or most other "biker" events. Then again, maybe it's more a reflection of how good a person you are. :)
I for one am very excited for the chance to collaborate with you on let’s call it “Project S” 😅😅😅 I hope everyone leaves a comment about which direction the build goes. There’s more to how this story came to be so be sure to spread the word EVERYWHERE and let’s get it going🤘
Buck....I can't believe you didn't say anything about this at the event. This is beyond awesome as a historical bike within this community. The sky's the limit with things that could be done.
@@greg4hand73 method to the madness 🤪🤪🤪, Looking back on the campout and bringing Chey’s old bike back down gave everyone who’s not seen it in person a chance to that was in attendance and that alone was an awesome experience…. We’re anxious to hear from you and everyone else where to go from here with it🤔🤔🤔 No matter what the outcome is we all know it’ll definitely be worth the wait😎 I appreciate everything everyone is and has done for Forgotten Angels , not to mention all the new friendships being made along the way
Chopper out the Suzuki then raffle it off for Forgotten Angles then again it is almost to nice to touch I like it the way it is!! but Chopper would be the best option!!
Good afternoon Mr. Jared, which bike? In 1997 my cousin inherited his Dad's 47 Indian Chief that at 14 I learned to ride on. Last year I inherited that bike. I do not know what it is about this newer generation of riders (notice i do not say younger) but they not only let someone ride their bike, they are asking that foolish question themselves. Many get upset when I ask if I can sleep with their Ol' Lady. Jared from my 06 and 87 Goldwings, 04 Darley Havidson , or my 98 Electric Glide Custom, the 65 Panhead is in pieces this winter but the 47 I would have to tell even you NO. Everything else Sir, YOU are the only human I would let ride one of my babies. My stomach drops every time you let even a novice ride one of your machines. I agree more people need to learn to ride on a bike without a computer or HEI or fuel injection and it's clutch should be under foot after they kick it over. Good for you for teaching them, just not on one of your pieces of ART. Thank You for what you do. But now you know, if I ride the Indian down for Forgotten Angels I would be that ass that tells you NO! Sorry!! With great Love and Respect, YOU are in my prayers Hoka Hey
Great video and thanks for the privilege of riding that piece of art! Awesome to feature here buddy…
2024 could be quite a year!
Fingers crossed!
This says a lot about the folks that were there. Good times.
All great people!
Nice to see the variety of bikes at the camp out.

It is nice!

So glad I got to make it and have a little time off.
What a fun video that shows exactly the type of good folks that were there.

The Gilroy Indian was cool too! I'd like to have seen more of that one.
He says he’s planning to return to the campout in March, so maybe we can get to see more on it😊
Too cool right!?!?
Turn it into a cafe racer but with a over the top 70's metal flake paint job. Maybe a touch of bosozoku since it's a Japanese bike...
That would be cool!

Since it's a thumper, the Savage should be rebuilt as a Isle of Man TT racer... Maybe with a dustbin fairing.
