Shark Detect Pro looks way too similar to my always clogged Shark V2520. The area that empties into the base and is always clogged looks EXACTLY the same.
You don’t have video reviews up for two of the top five (Dreame L20 and X2 Omni)? It’s nice with this summary but I would like to see a full review before purchasing. It also would have been great if you linked to your reviews of the robots, not just to Amazon.
Can you perform a test with toilet paper or paper towels? I've noticed that sometimes they get stuck while cleaning if I accidentally drop some paper on the floor.
I would've been fine with a longer video including more models, explanations, and testing since you have so many robots; this is usually your most anticipated video of the year so I assume you'd want to make it longer too just for more ad revenue. Feeling a bit underwhelmed with just a 6 minute video EDIT: Is there a way to see the spreadsheet? I want to see more details and options between the top and midtier, or just see the scoring in general to make a better informed purchase because I don't think this video provides enough information for everyone
it's a lazy video and he's mainly going off deep clean carpet test.. not real world functionality. This is obvious since he's recommending a 600 series over an i3/i5 on sale... i5 w/ mop attachment is currently $230 from IRobot and other retailers. Even if the 600 series hits $150 on blackfriday.. It would be very dumb to purchase it over a slightly more expensive i3 or i5.
I like the channel and all but given all the data is secret and the videos are increasingly skipping over the performance scores I don't like the direction it's going. Honestly, all test data should be public in the first place, it looks bad to keep it hidden even if there's no bad intent.
Yeah I'm highly disappointed in this video. 6 minutes is the same as his dedicated reviews but this video is supposed to tell us what's the best of the best. At least spend a minute on each robot vacuum.
I love my Roborock S7MaxV Ultra!! A year and a half now and still perfect! Only mapped my house 1 time. Keeps all 4 maps of different floors. Never gotten stuck once. I have mostly hardwood floors and 2 throw down area rugs in the bedroom. Knows exactly where it's at and switches maps to correct floor. Cleans under beds and furniture in bedrooms. If u leave a sock or shoe under the bed, it will go right around it and send me a pic of what it is. Was worth every penny!!
I wish I could say the same, I have 2 of them, both Vacuums have been sent back, and now I'm currently in the que to send the wash/fill station back. Plus my robots get stuck all the time which is crazy since I have a pretty well kept house.
I'm a big fan of your meticulous and very grounded technical approach to evaluation! The only thing i've been eagerly missing is an actual spreadsheet with all the scores for all the robots you've tested -- when taking my decision i'm looking at specific dimensions more than the others (for ex, i care much less about base station and more about the performance, navigation) and having the scores would make decision making process much simpler (down to pay for access too).
This exactly! I don't care at all about mopping ability (I have mostly carpet and don't mind mopping my small bathroom and kitchen myself) and could go either way on a self emptying base, but what I DO want is good obstacle avoidance and navigation, I want to feel like I can run it when I'm gone for the day at work and it won't end up getting stuck somewhere in my house that I need to rescue it when I get home (and the house is either not at all or only partially vacuumed).
Thanks to your original review of the Roborock S4, we picked it over the Roombas of the time. It has been running strong in our home for 6 years now. This is one of the best review channels on TH-cam, hands down. Well deserved subscriber number. Keep going strong!
Would it be possible to see the spreadsheet or the data in the future somehow? It’d open up a lot of transparency into the testing process and the results!
Got the Dreame L20 Ultra for 5 weeks, it's been keeping our floor spotless for every day and it has never been cleaner, very hard to imagine not having it now. the amount of time it save me is about 1 precious hour per day! If it works like this for half a year, it's already worth it.
Do you have any feedback on how the Dreame L20 Ultra handles high floor transitions? I'm considering buying one for myself, but the roughly 1" floor transitions at my current place are making be hesitant...
Given the fantastic reviews of the Dreame L20 Ultra and the great Black Friday deal, I went ahead and bought it. While the vacuum did have issues with the 2" transition at first, as soon as I identified the area as a floor transition the vacuum hasn't failed to cross it!! I'm still going to purchase a small floor transition ramp designed for robot vacuums to minimize long term ware & tare on the vaccum, but I'm Very impressed :)
I forgot to mention that the mopping is about 70% of the value as vacuum is much easier to manually. And when it comes to the mopping feature, this is the best product you can get. This is the reason that I decided buy this robovac.
yes... since I got my ecovacs Omni x1 I thought that if it was able to automatically detach the mops it wuold be perfect. (actually it often get confused about its position on the maps but that's still less of a problem to me)
Short to the point, rate it, rank it, done. Thanks for the quick video, I retained more when the content is compressed. War and peace has its own place. A dime novel is just as satisfying. Keep it up.
Been looking forward for this review. There are only two reviewers on TH-cam that are consistent and perform good testing, regarding vacuum bots. You are one of them. Allways great and helpful reviews! Thank you for your effort!
A word of warning on Roomba: we've been through four of them, two i7 and two J7+ and they all failed in about 6-10 months. The problem is their charging contact design because it eventually fails to make full contact which results in the robot no longer recognizing the base, which means the self-emptying and other features no longer work. Roomba is aware of this deficiency and has instructions to periodically clean the contacts with a melamine cloth, but even then the contacts quit functioning and you're left with a brick. When it fails in the first year they're pretty good about sending replacement units, but once that warranty is up they stop talking to you. By comparison, no problems with Ecovacs or Roborock units we have bought instead because they have different charging contact designs that do not wear out. So for us never again Roomba. For the rest of you, beware! BTW, Vacuum Wars has the best reviews by far, so no discredit to them because they don't have the units long enough to see how reliable they are long term.
100 % agree. I have had my roomba i7+ for about two years, it was amazing, but the metal disks to charge are worn down and I cleaned it regularly. Now it will not charge or connect. They do not sell those parts to fix it.
Really? I have every single model, aside from the Combo j9+, and never had an issue with their charging port. In fact the very first Roomba I ever had, i7+, since 2018-19 recently I just gifted to my cousin and he had zero issues.
@@KhyronElric you're one of the lucky ones. We went through three i7's and four j7's and have given up, no more Roombas for us. All those failures were between 4-11 months.
With Roborock, I've had both the S4 and S7 have internal wheel shorts within 2 years. I tried contacting Roborock and both times they shrugged and said it was on me to replace or repair it without help. I tried to use the ebay refurbished warranty for the s7, but they claim it was water damage related (no I didn't take it for a swim). So, anticipate that as a point of failure on the Roborock.
I have the Dreame L20 Ultra, and took a risk on it before seeing this review, which is rare. The vacuum is absolutely incredible, and the obstacle avoidance is second to none. I would highly recommend it with the right sale.
@@MikeJones__Who I've used Roborock products in the past, and they have been outstanding. I've personally never used the S8 Ultra Pro, but there are videos out there to suggest that the obstacle avoidance is better in the Dreame, although still very good with the Roborock. I think it's personal preference, but I do think that the Dreame offers more than what the S8 Ultra Pro offers right now. Likely can't go wrong with either.
@@VacuumWars I'm watching it right now as I write this comment! Although I do know, I'm always interested in your scoring because I think it's fair and honest, so I'm looking to find out ALL of the goods!
Holy shit. Now THIS is good content. This is like god level. And a lot of people are looking to buy a robot vacuum. You're doing the world a great service
Thank you for your reviews! After comparing prices, I got the Ecovacs DeebotT20 Omni on sale for $629.99 (before tax). At that price I felt it was by the best price to performance of the entire list. Considering the number one pick is more than double cost. Granted the reviews are mixed, at that price I’m willing to give it a go. First thing I noticed was how quiet it is! Wow my old roomba is significantly louder. We have a 1 year old, and our old Roomba was loud enough to avoid using it at night while sleeping. The T20 is so quiet, I have ZERO concerns about it waking our 1 year old.
Excellent coverage on these robot vacuums! Love how you categorize them as most users want to know, price allowing, which is the best. Please continue to update your scoring on the newer vacuums to see if they continue to score high in all of your categories as rating and testing data will continue to change.
Is there a way to see that spreadsheet? I want to see what other options there are as I'd like something with pricing in between the top and the midlevel
I have an S7 Max Ultra and I'm not disappointed. If you have a cat or a dog or both this S7 is a must. Yes, it is a bit expensive but it is future proof.
I am curious how Wyze vacuum isn’t in the budget range considering it uses LiDar and can be bought typically for less than $250 ($216 at Walmart). I’ve never actually used it but I know it has a ton of features. Q Revo is my current robot vacuum and it’s amazing!
Hey, I was thinking the same thing when I bought the Wyze vacuum three years ago. One of the worst purchases I've made and I've stayed away from Wyze ever since. They reel you in with the price point, marketing, and impressive looking specs and software, but the product is just poorly implemented and supported. It's not worth having a robot vacuum if you have to keep baby sitting it and hoping that it works. You cannot have faith in it's ability to complete a job reliably. It will get stuck, or it will bump into random objects and fail, or it will just give up for no reason. I contacted Wyze and they sent a replacement vacuum, but the BRAND NEW replacement suffers from the SAME issues. I should have spent the extra dough on something much more reliable. Don't make the same mistake as me.
What would be the best “Dry” robot vacuum? I do have some carpets, I do want obstacle avoidance, I do want self emptying bean, and I would appreciate good anti hair tangling system. I do not want any water, moisture and mold whatsoever. I want to set it and forget it. Is it possible?
@@LaszloBagi I get that, but let’s say I want it to vacuum without the pads, then come back to the station, install the pads and mop immediately after without any other inputs?
I have had the Ecovacs X2 Omni for a little over a month now. I really wanted a Roborock, but their docking stations were just too large to fit where I wanted to put it in the house. The Ecovacs docking station fits perfectly. My mother also bought the same one a few weeks ago. We frequently give updates to each other on its performance since we have different house layouts and use requirements. Overall, I’ve been pretty happy with it and it was a huge upgrade over my Neato Botvac D7 Connected and Roomba Braava Jet M6. I never realized until now how much nicer it is to have a self emptying and self cleaning bot. Mapping and navigation of my house has been pretty solid, no WiFi issues, but there are some quirks that need improvement, mostly with the app (nonexistent walls that can’t be removed, unable to split certain rooms, etc. ). Areas of critique I have with it are fairly minor and most I think can be addressed by future firmware and app updates. The brush head isn’t as large nor as close to the front as the Neato, but it does do a better job with hair not tangling around the main part of the brush. But it does get quite a bit wrapped around the ends, so make sure you clean it about once a week to remove those off the ends (pretty easy). I have one steep threshold into a bathroom that my Neato never had issues with but the Ecovacs it has been hit or miss getting over it. If it is vacuuming only and hits it straight on, no problem. If it tries to attack it at an angle or is mopping and vacuuming at the same time, it will often slip and struggle to make it over without needing assistance. Also, once in a blue moon it manages to lose its cover. I have yet to discover what it is hitting to dislodge it. The app, while nice and has a lot of capability, still needs some improvements and has some areas where it falls behind how the Roomba and Neato apps work. Some of it may be a learning curve. But I truly believe that it won’t take much in the way of an app update to address my issues and make the app even more useful. This post is already long enough, so I won’t go into the details. I’m curious what your findings are.
@@Sailor_Zeb , Roomba and Neato’s apps weren’t without their issues either, there is just some things I feel were easier in their app. For example, my Roomba app would often say my mop bot was offline until I would remove and reinsert the water reservoir. But the Roomba app I liked how it allowed me to setup the room order for a job. Neato’s app would often error anytime I updated the map, saying the change failed but it would actually apply it successfully to the bot. But I liked how it was able to map out the room, actually recording 45° angles properly. I also felt it was easier to measure out size and distance to more accurately place boundaries. The Ecovacs app hasn’t really been “buggy”, per se, mostly just some design quirks. Some of the things I would like to see improved: -Improve mapping to better identify 45° angles. Not all houses have just right angles. Neato’s app did a decent job at this. -ability to divide up rooms more than once. Homes with open floor plans or with large entryways get seen as one room and the app limits how you can divide them. My kitchen, dining room, and living room are all seen as one room. I can divide the space to a living room and kitchen, but can’t divide the kitchen and the dining room. -Remove fake walls from the app. App thinks the space between my bed and dresser is a doorway and created walls in the middle of the room. It doesn’t impact the coverage of the room, just makes the map look weird. -If a room is identified to be completely carpeted, some sections of the app make it hard to select the room, you end up selecting the carpet instead. Doesn’t make much of a difference other than how you prefer to select rooms. -When using whole house AI cleaning mode, you can’t choose the cleaning preferences. So I can’t tell it to vacuum then mop when using this mode. It will do what it thinks is best and vac/mop at the same time. -A larger selection of room names to choose from would be nice. There is no office or entryway to choose and having the map list bathroom 1 and bathroom 2 or bedrooms for that matter is a bit confusing. -I would like to be able to rearrange the order of rooms being tackled in a job instead of having to always select them in the order I want. It doesn’t do a good job at showing what order they were selected. Roomba’s app does a good job at this. -When adding furniture or boundaries to the map, it always drops it in an odd spot (like the far corner) and I have to drag it across the map to where I want.
People had the same app problems you just stated, since Ecovacs T8 or whatever was their 1st app model. They never fixed it. Still a buggy unreliable mess that occasionally will lose its map. I have T9 and I will never recommend Ecovacs to anybody. Just buy Roborock / Dreame / Xiaomi.
I have two X2’s, each in a different house. I was looking forward to getting them however I do have the exact same problems/complaints as you. Most of my frustration is with the mapping feature. The cleaning (if you can get a good map) is actually really good! I have a whole inside wall that the vacuum won’t recognize. It does’t like walls, furniture, or doors at an angle other than 90 degrees. It also splits rooms into two sometimes if there is a bed with a bed skirt. It hated my stationary bike so i had to move that. I also had to move stuff stored under my bed. I mapped my main floor at least 25 times before I got something acceptable which was timely and frustrating. I also had no success splitting rooms. I wrote to customer support and at first they said they would address it with firmware. When I got the 2nd X2 (different/smaller house) and had similar issues they told me that both were defective. In my opinion the battery is weak. I can’t vacuum my main floor on high in one segment without it having to charge (vacuum calcs it at 700 sq feet…I think it’s a bit bigger) Two other things on size and weight. The height is actually taller than my T9 Omni. The lid does sometimes come off easily. It accepts 3 maps which is great but moving the vacuum and station will take a few trips up and down the stairs. Overall I think it’s too buggy and I’m disappointed. Wish I bought the Dreambot.
@@houseofwarmth2578 When I first received the X2, I was initially disappointed in its battery life considering how much larger the battery should be over the Neato D7 Connected (4200 mA vs 6400mA). The D7 more often than not would be able to vacuum the whole house on a single charge (sometimes it took more than one if it got stuck somewhere). But they do go back to recharge and I also figured the more tech and a more powerful vacuum in the X2 are the reason for the shorter life (logs calculate between 850-900 sqft of coverage). I am not sure if it was the latest firmware update or the battery just needed some conditioning, but it seems like the more times it has been used the longer the battery is lasting. Most of my scheduled runs now finish using just a single charge. Only when I have it do a whole house vacuum THEN a mop it may need to stop and recharge to finish the house.
Tip for everyone... I purchased a robo vacuum 2 years ago and THOUGHT I would use the main dock vacuum that sucks out the robot so it can clean again. I THOUGHT I would set up schedules etc.. this may or may not be you but i NEVER used those features. It turned out for me that I would just turn it on and clean about every 2 days'ish manually because.... if you have it on auto clean on a schedule it can definitely be annoying to turn on while you or the spouse is watching TV or talking to friend etc, so we would always just turn it on the day we want it to and let it go... you might want to consider the vacuum WITHOUT the vacuum docking station, if they have the option available for your chosen vacuum. ONE last thing, they are worth their weight in GOLD, so splurge if you can and get a better model if you think its worth it (it is) just imagine having to vacuum your house EVERY 2 days etc.. manually. its a HUGE time saver, probably ther best time saver we have ever purchased next to internet and a computer/car. 15-30 minutes every 2-4 days or....... turn on your Robo Vacuum and let er' eat. Add up that time saved over 3-5 years and see how much money it actually SAVES you.
Well presented video, would you be able to do a test for which one is the best for pet hair which eoukd include which brush has the best no hair tangle?
Hi, thanks for the great work. Is the full list of the tested robot vacuums and test results of them available online (or as a Google Doc)? I'd like to compare several specific models in terms of their carpet deep cleaning test results (e.g. Roborock Q7+ vs. Shark Matrix vs. Eufy X8 Pro). Thanks.
I purchased the Roborock S7 Max Ultra and I love it. A month before I returned a cheaper Ecovacs. I think the auto mop wash and dry plus auto empty bin really make this the no touch, do all dream machine that you want it to be. I do have a number of issues with mapping however that no one seems to pick up on. Large mirrors mess with its lidar and I can’t remove them etc. It some times gets lost and adds rooms that don’t exist. Roborock customer service were no help
I had the t20 for a week and loved the performance only issue i had was it navigated the cleaning route kinda randomly and would miss zones and it would lower the mops right after it exited the dock and run it leading to a wet spot when it was in mop mode or spinning the brushes on a dirty floor which was an issue. It also lowered the mops when backing into the dock big issue because it struggled to dock as a result of this so i returned it. Long comment to say i want to get the roborock revo because it seems comparable to the t20 minus the software and docking issues. Whats your recommendation or should i get the l20 instead though it seems to be more expensive
I feel like the Dreame L10S Ultra deserves an honorable mention as well. It's the same price or in some cases even cheaper than the Q Revo, and it comes with a much better obstable avoidance system (RGB camera). It's literally a budget S7 MaxV Ultra
Do you have your score tables listed anywhere? I was looking on your website, but I didn't see them. I'm really torn about getting a Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra for the bonus roving video intercom (and buying the mop dryer) versus going for these new ones. No one's doing video-intercom-on-vac anymore, are they?
nice review, I want to include my feedback as well: we bought an ECOVACS T20 OMNI, we faced A LOT of issues related to the network connection, it just works in no hidden 2.4ghz network and loses the wifi connection after sleep (some times) and we need re-setup the product again. After 5 times we just decided to return it. We keep other IOTs in the same network and we didn´t have any issues. The 800 euros robot should handle a network failure (like reboot, reconfigure etc etc) like my 20 euros camera . Please include network performance in your tests 😁.
Thanks to your review, I purchased the Costco version of the Ecovacs T20 Omni called TEO. I bought it with a rebate, so it was an excellent deal at $699. I liked it so much that I purchased a second unit for my parents as an early Christmas present. My only concern is the app that I constantly have to reset. Otherwise, I highly recommend it. I had the Roborock S7 prior, and I would say that the app is better and the navigation and speed at which it cleans was better. However, for the money and all the features, it's the T20 for me. Thank you for all your great reviews!
Thank you. Just made up my mind to buy a robot vacuum, based on your videos. I already have a Dyson V15, and I bought that a couple of years ago also based on your videos.
I always loved this channel and would spend hours here whenever I had to purchase a product. I have to say I'm disappointed. I remember having access to the spreadsheet on the website years ago, but now I can't find it. The scores for each robot in all categories wasn't even displayed, as it used to be before.. so frustrating! I came for the specific data, but I've only got ads like reviews 😔
They're not even reviews. Has he even tested the L20 Ultra? Tells *me* to watch reviews to make sure it's a good vacuum, yet recommends it at #1? Such a paid for ad. Can't even trust this channel anymore
Hi! I have been following you for years and love your reviews. Of the top 5 you have mentioned, which one would you recommend for someone with a pet dog? My currebt robot vacuum is choking from the hairs and it looks like it is dying soon. 😢
One week into ownership, the Q Revo is truly amazing. Are there more expensive models that might be a little better? Probably, but the Q Revo can hold it's own at a fraction of the price. We bought direct from Roborock for 680-10% military discount, total cost $612.
I would love a category of "Best for only carpets" or at least a breakdown of the scores by performance category. This is different than the Roomba 692 which seemed to be recommended as best for carpets only . . . and no frills. I'm looking for a vacuum for our second floor that is all carpet and I don't need or want mopping features but still want a full featured robot with a carpet deep cleaning only focus. I already have a Ecovacs OZMO T8 Omni AIVI for my first floor based on reviews from this channel for mixed rug, hard floor cleaning.
I expected to see Eufy X8 pro,X9 pro or X8 hybrid in the mid range picks because of their price to features...hope you can review them because they have great prices for black friday!
why not test the S8? I'm trying to figure out wether to buy the S8 pro ultra or Dream L20 (Dream came out with the L30 which has hot water washing btw)
When you do your individual review of the Dreme L20 Ultra could you please note how high of a floor transition it is capable of crossing? I have roughly 1" floor transitions at my current place and I'm looking to purchase a premium robot vaccum with mopping around Black Friday. I would prefer the Dreame L20 Ultra, but this concern is making me hesitant, and I'm thinking of compromising with the Ecovacs X2 Omni specifically because I've heard its design handles high floor transitions better than most
Can't speak to the X2 Omni, but the Ecovacs we had a couple years ago always got stuck trying to cross a much smaller 1/4" threshold. To their credit Ecovacs refunded our money 11 months after purchase because of this, so as a brand we would definitely try them again. Roomba is great at crossing thresholds, but their contacts always wear out within a year so we will never buy them again. Our older Roborock was great until the laser failed, our current Roborock S7 has been bulletproof and is a keeper. Once it fails, hopefully years down the road, we'll buy whatever is best and on sale at the time.
The Dreame L10 went from $1300 to $675 (on sale) in 11 months. While the L20 is expensive now, I think we're going to see a $750 L20 a year from now if you can wait.
Is the spreadsheet you use to compare vaccums publicly available? I was also wondering if your recommendation would change if you were considering using a robot vaccum in a commercial setting like a school or library?
@VacuumWars Any thoughts on Lubluelu brand? Their SL60D model has Lidar, and with discount code, its 150 euro, which is fairly cheap for smart robot, there are some video reviews online, which seems to be good, wondering if you have ever tested this model?
Been wanting a smart robot that can map out the house, but I don't need a mop and don't want to spend 1k. Finally the Shark Detect Pro looks like it fits what I want
Thank you for the summary! It would be great if you could also in the future add an option for more specific scenarios since the features robots get these days get more and more different. For example a pick for someone who wants a reasonably cheap robot with an auto-empty bin that does not have any glaring issues, or for those that as you mentioned, don't really care about mopping. Basically, I'm talking about a role that Q7+ was playing previously. I know that there is a Q5 Pro+, but the difference in price from the base Q5 Pro is huge. Would you say that Dreame D10 Plus or D10s Plus is still worth it?
Maybe a silly question and not sure if other reviewers have ever mentioned this. but can you map different floors with these robot vacuums? Like if I have it set to vacuum the main floor and then i get notified when it's done, then I have to physically pick it up and bring it to the bedroom level to continue? Is that possible? or did i give away a design feature for free??
Check out our regularly updated Top 20 Best Robot Vacuums list on our website: vacuumwars.com/best-vacuum-cleaners/robot-vacuums/
i bought the L20 Ultra, i am not disappointed, love you´r reviews
Shark Detect Pro looks way too similar to my always clogged Shark V2520. The area that empties into the base and is always clogged looks EXACTLY the same.
You don’t have video reviews up for two of the top five (Dreame L20 and X2 Omni)? It’s nice with this summary but I would like to see a full review before purchasing.
It also would have been great if you linked to your reviews of the robots, not just to Amazon.
Can you perform a test with toilet paper or paper towels? I've noticed that sometimes they get stuck while cleaning if I accidentally drop some paper on the floor.
Which would you go with if you have mostly carpet?
I would've been fine with a longer video including more models, explanations, and testing since you have so many robots; this is usually your most anticipated video of the year so I assume you'd want to make it longer too just for more ad revenue. Feeling a bit underwhelmed with just a 6 minute video
EDIT: Is there a way to see the spreadsheet? I want to see more details and options between the top and midtier, or just see the scoring in general to make a better informed purchase because I don't think this video provides enough information for everyone
it's a lazy video and he's mainly going off deep clean carpet test.. not real world functionality.
This is obvious since he's recommending a 600 series over an i3/i5 on sale... i5 w/ mop attachment is currently $230 from IRobot and other retailers.
Even if the 600 series hits $150 on blackfriday.. It would be very dumb to purchase it over a slightly more expensive i3 or i5.
The spreadsheet is private unfortunately
Took the words right out of my mouth. Not really, you said it better and said what I was thinking.
I like long form videos! Appreciate the super concise summaries, but I also like the detailed longer reviews
Great to hear!
I don't care at all about mopping ability (I have mostly carpet and don't mind mopping my small bathroom and kitchen myself) and could go either way on a self emptying base, but what I DO want is good obstacle avoidance and navigation, I want to feel like I can run it when I'm gone for the day at work and it won't end up getting stuck somewhere in my house that I need to rescue it when I get home (and the house is either not at all or only partially vacuumed).
yea, I care more about noise and speed than best cleaning or mopping etc
Thanks to your original review of the Roborock S4, we picked it over the Roombas of the time. It has been running strong in our home for 6 years now. This is one of the best review channels on TH-cam, hands down. Well deserved subscriber number. Keep going strong!
Same! I bought mine about 5 years ago
same, S5 going strong, looking for another one for the other floor
0:44 Big props for charging all of those robots for this shot. What a logistical nightmare!!!
unbelievably thorough testing! Amazing work!
Thank you!!!
That is great to hear! Glad you are happy with it!
@Streicher119 think they do have the spec for that. It is quite strong and does climb on things so 1 inch might be ok, but no 100% sure.
I forgot to mention that the mopping is about 70% of the value as vacuum is much easier to manually. And when it comes to the mopping feature, this is the best product you can get. This is the reason that I decided buy this robovac.
When can we see a full breakdown of the L20?
Our Dreame L20 Ultra review comes out today at 4pm EST!
Would love to see a more detailed review of the winner, the Dreame L20. Thanks for all the testing you guys do.
Yeah that's not a bad idea. Thanks.
yes... since I got my ecovacs Omni x1 I thought that if it was able to automatically detach the mops it wuold be perfect.
(actually it often get confused about its position on the maps but that's still less of a problem to me)
Yes please.
@@VacuumWars How about the L10 ? Cause L20 is more expensive @vacuumwars
Our Dreame L20 Ultra review comes out today at 4pm EST!
Who’s the other?
I would say that vacuum wars are the No.1 reviewer and No.2 is jamie.andrews
That is great to hear!
More than the S8 Ultra pro?
@@MikeJones__Who I've used Roborock products in the past, and they have been outstanding. I've personally never used the S8 Ultra Pro, but there are videos out there to suggest that the obstacle avoidance is better in the Dreame, although still very good with the Roborock. I think it's personal preference, but I do think that the Dreame offers more than what the S8 Ultra Pro offers right now. Likely can't go wrong with either.
So glad you are happy with it! Our Dreame L20 Ultra review comes out this afternoon, but you already know the goods. :)
Thank you!!!
Great results!!! L20 is king for a reason! Can't go wrong with any of the models you picked!!!!
Totally agree! And our Dreame L20 Ultra review comes out today at 4pm EST!
I'd definitely look into Switchbot vacuums to add! They're new to the game, but every vacuum they released so far had some kind of innovation!
The work you put in doing this video deserves a like and a subscribe from Romania
Thank you! Hello Romania!
Is there a way to see that spreadsheet? I want to see what other options there are as I'd like something with pricing in between the top and the midlevel
Unfortunately we can't share it. Sorry.

I have an S7 Max Ultra and I'm not disappointed. If you have a cat or a dog or both this S7 is a must. Yes, it is a bit expensive but it is future proof.
Very good review! I’ve been so impressed with your reviews!
@@mace6141I’m saying in general
Thank you! and thank you for your ongoing friendly support!
Between the q revo and the dreame l10s which would you recommend?
Thanks! This really helped me decide which vacuum to get. 👍
Glad we could help!
What would be the best “Dry” robot vacuum? I do have some carpets, I do want obstacle avoidance, I do want self emptying bean, and I would appreciate good anti hair tangling system. I do not want any water, moisture and mold whatsoever. I want to set it and forget it. Is it possible?
I bought the X1 1 year ago and now I’m buying the X2 and returning the X1, as by now it has a lot of issues and… I absolutely love tech.
I've been waiting for this video. Thank u for what u do!!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Can you program the L20 Ultra to vacuum, without the mopping pads, then return to the dock, install the pads and then mop?
Yes, plus a lot more.
Yes, the L20 will leave the pads at the base station if requested
@@LaszloBagi I get that, but let’s say I want it to vacuum without the pads, then come back to the station, install the pads and mop immediately after without any other inputs?
Our Dreame L20 Ultra review comes out today at 4pm EST! We will cover that and many of its other features there!
I’m so excited for a vacuum video . Ive been waiting for this one specifically
Price aside, would you still put the T20 over the X2 OMNI?
Also came here to ask about the x2 Omni. Can’t wait to see a review of that one!
You are in the right place! Thank you for stopping by!
@@VacuumWars will you do a full review for x2 omni & dreame L2 ultra?
The X2 is disappointing to me. I bought two in anticipation. Lots of mapping issues. It does clean pretty well.
I love the shot when you have them all cruising around at the same time.
What about Dreame L10s Ultra? Isn't it comparable or even better than Roborock Q Revo?
Just bought l20 ultra! Its good its replacing my ecovacs t9
Glad you are happy with it! Our Dreame L20 Ultra review comes out today at 4pm EST!
Thanks for the info. Regarding the app, its been buggy since they started. I had the X1 but returned it mostly due to the software/app.
Some of the things I would like to see improved:
-Improve mapping to better identify 45° angles.
I can’t vacuum my main floor on high in one segment without it having to charge (vacuum calcs it at 700 sq feet…I think it’s a bit bigger)
Two other things on size and weight.
I agree on this. Most people would be very well served with a mid range unit like a Roomba Combo i5
It seems there is another brand new option of automatic changing mop
Congrats, and thank you for this (almost scientific approach) comparison! Very helpful. Well done!
Thank you!

Thanks.
There's a Q5 Pro+ (Plus) where they added the dock. Might be worth considering as the price is quite cheap for something that's bundled with a dock.
Can you actually share the spreadsheet though?
I purchased the Roborock S7 Max Ultra and I love it. A month before I returned a cheaper Ecovacs.
I think the auto mop wash and dry plus auto empty bin really make this the no touch, do all dream machine that you want it to be.
I do have a number of issues with mapping however that no one seems to pick up on. Large mirrors mess with its lidar and I can’t remove them etc. It some times gets lost and adds rooms that don’t exist. Roborock customer service were no help
I am very interested in this one but I need one with good pet waste avoidance. Have you tested yours with this?
for a no touch dream we still need based to be connected to the water grid. that would awesome
I had the mirror issue too! You need to go to manage maps and furniture (mirror) to the problem space
Is the Q8+ in this?
Can't wait for you to review the Ecovacs Omni X2. I've been back and forth on replacing my T10. Awesome content as always.
We need a full review of the Eufy X8 Pro, I’m torn between the Q5 and that one for my first Robovac
nice review, I want to include my feedback as well:
we bought an ECOVACS T20 OMNI, we faced A LOT of issues related to the network connection, it just works in no hidden 2.4ghz network and loses the wifi connection after sleep (some times) and we need re-setup the product again.
We are glad you are mostly happy with it and we hope your parents enjoy your thoughtful Christmas present! Thank you!
@VacuumWars My parents have had theirs for a week, and they love it.
yeah, the ecovacs app is quite buggy. I tried the roboroc one and that app runs so smooth in comparison. but their bots are more expensive so...
Thank you. Just made up my mind to buy a robot vacuum, based on your videos. I already have a Dyson V15, and I bought that a couple of years ago also based on your videos.
Happy to have helped!
How come the roborock s8 pro ultra didn’t even made the list ?
For solely embedded dust pickup, what would be the best pick? No mopping or obstacle avoidance is needed
We have the L20 review releasing today at 4pm EST.
So glad you are happy with it!
Will there be a review on the L20 and X2 in a near future? :)
Our Dreame L20 Ultra review comes out today at 4pm EST!
I expected to see Eufy X8 pro,X9 pro or X8 hybrid in the mid range picks because of their price to features...hope you can review them because they have great prices for black friday!
I've also expected to see them at least mentioned. X8 pro still looks the best mop in business. @VacuumWars any comments?
why not test the S8? I'm trying to figure out wether to buy the S8 pro ultra or Dream L20 (Dream came out with the L30 which has hot water washing btw)
Our Dreame L20 Ultra review comes out today at 4pm EST!
Just had my S8 Pro Ultra delivered today. So excited to get it set up.
We hope you enjoy it!

Which one do you think ? you recommend?
The Dreame L10 went from $1300 to $675 (on sale) in 11 months. While the L20 is expensive now, I think we're going to see a $750 L20 a year from now if you can wait.
No worry, L30 will be out by then, China already has X30 which is the China variantion of the of the L-series.

Is there a review for the X2 Omni?
Is the spreadsheet you use to compare vaccums publicly available? I was also wondering if your recommendation would change if you were considering using a robot vaccum in a commercial setting like a school or library?
Love your roundups!
@VacuumWars
Any thoughts on Lubluelu brand?
Their SL60D model has Lidar, and with discount code, its 150 euro, which is fairly cheap for smart robot, there are some video reviews online, which seems to be good, wondering if you have ever tested this model?
Whats the best overall but without big docking station, just the charging station?
Been wanting a smart robot that can map out the house, but I don't need a mop and don't want to spend 1k.
Finally the Shark Detect Pro looks like it fits what I want
Fantastic video. This is what TH-cam is for

What about the Dyson 360 vis nav? Did you include it in the testing
We are finishing our review of the Dyson Vis Nav 360 today! Come back tomorrow at 4PM EST for our full review!
The best is based on VacuumWars tests. Can someone post the link to VW's review of the #1 pick, the Dreame L20 Ultra? I can't find it.
Our Dreame L20 Ultra review comes out today at 4pm EST!
Very nice presentation. One thing i would like to see after this massive comparison war is a full list ranking results.
When does the #2 pick start avoiding obstacles? It’s getting caught up as much as my 2016 roomba.
Did you review the Roborock S8 Ultra Plus?
Maybe a silly question and not sure if other reviewers have ever mentioned this. but can you map different floors with these robot vacuums? Like if I have it set to vacuum the main floor and then i get notified when it's done, then I have to physically pick it up and bring it to the bedroom level to continue? Is that possible? or did i give away a design feature for free??
whats better the s7 max ultra or the MaxV ultra?
Hi, what about the roomba j8? I would love it if you would teach us how to use a few of them! You seem to really know all the features… Thank you.
Any recommendations for a vacuum robot that cannot stop stairs?
Thanks so much for your time and energy on this video w all the testing you do for users/buyers
