I was at the same glacier as a young boy in 1973. I do not recall any lake at that time. Anyway, massive retraction by the glacier. Now there is barely anything left.
Was there in 2004. Did a 2 hour Glacierclimbing/walk with a guide. It almost reached out to where the forrest on the side starts, pitty to see that it has drawn back that far. Climate-change visible. My favoriete country!!!
7:43 yes, that's the way I remember it from '98, not just a some distant snow up in the hills, nor the lake. We even had a short walk on the glacier with a guide too. I think they used bio fuel back back then too, but using it to feed the horses.
Thanks for this holiday Bjorn. Thanks for taking us along. Brilliant !! Did you count how many waterfalls you drove by / saw? Dry Suit? Swim? Biofuels is degradation of vegetable matter into basic elements to complex carbon chains. Glacier - has gone to a minimum and may grow again. There is always a warming period before the cool down. By 2030 people will notice that temps are lower ... no longer rising.
OO shiiit. I live in southern Finland and have dreamed of going on a road trip in Norway. This covid-shit ruined it last summer, but maybe this or next summer I can get there. It looks so beautiful!
Oh no, what happened to Briksdalsbreen? I was there 20 years ago. Then there was no lake :-( But great video from your trip. I really like it. Especially because I planned to come to Norway this year but it's still not possible. Enjoy your trip.

you need to make a t-shirt "Remember guys ABC " then all the acronyms on the back or something.
ABC, always be caring for the EV owner with small battery that have to suck any electricity they can get hold of since they barely can reach the next fastcharger. I assume you guys knows Bjørn does not have to charge everywhere he only do it for fun and to show that a crappy EV also can go long trips and not only a Tesla. Last year I was in Geiranger and some of the high mountains (RV55) with my MG ZS EV and I did not care about charging at all, no hotel charging, only fastcharging when wifey and I go shopping or we stopped for some food. Even the MG have range enough to pass lots of fastchargers without charging. We actually stopped much more often for coffe, food or toilet than charging. It is not that many fastchargers i this area but I still passed fastcharges I was planning to use since battery level was too high, up to 2 chargers was passed before I finally charged. MG ZS EV is very efficient in summer at narrow tourist roads !
Hi Bjørn. Visited Briksdalen in 2003. Lots more ice then, even though it was August! We walked up the gorge, but the transport then was horse drawn carts, so properly green!
I'm curious, a lot of people/rules in Norway says that you shouldn't charge from a "normal" electric contact. Doubt that they have installed a dedicated 10A/type B fuse in this case and you still used it, or did you check it out?
Look at the map and you will see that "Jostedalsbreen" glacier is huge, 487 km² and the largest glacier on Europe's mainland. What tourists see on this trip is only a tiny little bit of one of its lower arms. But surely, not much of a attraction of its melts too much.
You should Roadtrip to Nigardsbreen! That is actually more stunning than Briksdalsbreen. :) Just a short hike around a lake. Been there and it is stunning!
The glacier has diminished by several hundred meters the last decades due to climate change. Around 1990 the glacier has covering the whole of the lake, and was almost pushing against the giant rock at the end og the lake.
Norways Tourist agency should be amongst your sponsors too. You'd deserve it!
maybe sometime in the future he should made a travel list
Love these chilled road trips with your wife. Thank you.
You know a man's relaxed, when he performs a casual emissions test next to wifey.
Nowhere to run

3:55 - Damn, that thing has shrunk a lot recently. When I was there ten years ago, it reached the water.
Thanks for this holiday Bjorn. Thanks for taking us along. Brilliant !! Did you count how many waterfalls you drove by / saw?

It's also a nice walk up to Briksdalsbreen all the way from the parking lot. ;-)
I can highly recommend the walk up to Raksetra seter, above Oppheim. You will get some really nice views over the fjord, Olden and Loen.
Bjorn wow another great video and no the wife and I are not tired of seeing waterfalls! Fantastic vacation thanks for bringing us along!
More road trip videos, Bjorn ! I started to enjoy them more than the car reviews.
@ 12:30 Bjorn transforming BioFuel in to Methan Gas 😂 .

Bjorn, that was not emission free!!🤣
Luckily it had a short carbon cycle
Craaaazyy I was there like 10 years ago and the glaciar was touching the lake, you could pretty much go under it...

Boy is that ever nice in Norway! I envy you living there 👍
Your spoiling us now, love to wifey ❤️❤️
That will be a trip to “where the glacier used to be” in just a few years. “Last chance to see”

🤣🤣😂😅🤣 followed through haha
12:27 LOL 😂😂😂
Nice sightseeing but Bjorn I think you need an emission test maybe you need to change your catalytic converter.
I've been there in 2017 and the glacier seems a bit bigger in our pictures. Hope it doesn't decrease too fast.
The glacier has diminished by several hundred meters the last decades due to climate change. Around 1990 the glacier has covering the whole of the lake, and was almost pushing against the giant rock at the end og the lake.
They sell speedo at the spa, the spa and the food is a must at Alexandra. Nice to see you enjoying our region 😊👏☀️
i was there in 2005 and it looks like there was more ice than in 2004. they even had tours going out on the glacier
12:27 Wow!
Bio fuel :-D
Should try emission test in the pool and turn it into a Jacuzzi! :D :D
ACB - Always Consult Bjorn for the facts
👍👍👍👍
ABS - Always be sharting
I visited this glacier in 2004 and 2005, it was way further towards the lake.

They use the ABC acronym in the laxative industry.
Ads, ads, ads😫
