In Switzerland most of the rivers are running glacial waters resulting in the turquoise colour that you see. Presumably not the case with this river. Love the video. You have chosen a good location.
The water is probably like that during the snow melting season because it brings dirt with the current. That’s what happens in Sweden during this time so it should be the same in Norway
Another great video Bjorn! The Norwegian tourism ministry should also think about sponsoring you as that has tempted me to drive from Ireland to holiday in Norway when we're all vaccinated and allowed to travel again. I'm used to great views where I'm from but the views in your video were also amazing. It's handy for Tesla drivers too!
With any more sponsors, it will take forever before the video begins 😂. But Norway is great. Been there twice and don't mind going again in the future!
A few summers ago I drove down from Bygdin to Åndalsnes with the classic Ioniq (28 kWh). Consumption was 87 Wh/km. Mind-blowingly low, but also a lot of downhills. ;-)
The LFP SR+ charge a lot faster in the higher SoC. At 50% you still get over 100kW, 80% around 50kW. But I find both SR+ versions quite impressive because of the low consumption 🤓
I never cease to be amazed at the consumption figures - makes the SR+ a much better proposition than many realise. It's so much lighter and dare one say it 'greener' than the longer range models.
Yes I know because I drive one from Q4/20 living in Germany. But thanks for the video, so everyone can see 😃 It really is amazing - you can literally charge from 0-100 in about 45 minutes, almost to quick for our lunch break as a family of for 4 with to kids under 7 👌🏼👍🏻
@@andreasbauer5176 I agree - it almost charges too quickly - if you're charging from (say) 20% to 80/90% you can go to the restroom, buy food but you don't have time to eat it!
Stunning scenery. I'm surprised you didn't sling an extension cable out to the car, but there again, we wouldn't have seen the views from the supercharger. Great car. It all adds to the relaxation. Cooking on the veranda...can't beat it.
What a beautiful country you live in, thats a part i always like on the roadtrip video's. Great camping site, and another bonus, Wifey in the video again ^^
What a beautiful cabin location next to the river with snow topped mountains in the background - can almost small the fresh air. Great to see wifey join you for a trip👍 But lucky she could eat the durian outdoors, because it would have stunk out the cabin... 🤣 I’m the same as you, can take it or leave it, but my wife really loves the stuff...
The scenery and landscape is very similar to British Columbia, Canada……with the exception of Wifey. We have nothing as beautiful as Wifey. This was one of your most entertaining videos. Thank you very much. ❤️
We used that Supercharger at Andalsnes last year. The authorities re-tarmaced the road over night during the one night we stayed at Isfjorden in a barrel. Only about 6km resurfaced overnight. Lol. The Trollstigen might be worth a visit with the video camera at some point.
I think we should see and hear more from your wife. Does she have a name? Wifey? Awww…. 😁 Norway really is beautiful. Each road trip you film I am blown away by the scenery. I have to make the trip from the UK one day.
I hope you're planning to drive up Trollstigen while you're there... I did that drive when I visited several years back and it was a great drive. I would think it would be even more awesome in a Tesla...
Hey Bjorn, where I can find this Mookata grill in Oslo? (The Thai barbecue) Great videos by the way. And do you know if you can buy the travel assist on ID3 after purchase the car? Like a software update…
You make great videos! Can you make a video of Mercedes Benz EQC 21 modell with 11kw onboard charger? Planning to make a trip from Bergen to Surnadal in our EQC 21 model and your 1000km challenges inspires me that i can do that trip alone :D
In a case a destination doesn't have an AC charging opportunity, I plan to bring the juice booster 2 and charge over Schuko with 5 amperes. With about 1200 Watts, there is no risk of fire, or overheating extension cord.
@@bjornnyland Only thing I can think of, they didn't upgrade the fuses and they are not ready for EVs pulling a lot of amps?Good thing the SC network is a perfect workaround for those strange circumstances. Looking forward to my SR+.
@Teslabjørn I noticed the MiC SR+ has 31 kW more «motor power», and 12 kW more «continuous power over 30 minutes» vs the Freemont SR+ models. Could this be to equalize performance, since it weighs 125 kg more due to LFP battery pack?
when I hear you speak Norwegian, some words sounds like German, however, I do not find in dictionary. Examples are kaputt (broken), Schmutz (dirt ). in dictionary, dirt would be Skitt, but I think I hear Schmutz. :-) ขอบคุณครับ
You give me both very good information for EV and also road trip in Norway. If I have chance to visit Norway or even in some country in Europe , could I rent the EV car instead of gasoline via car rental agency web ex. rentalcars.com ? And how could I use the supercharger in Europe ( formerly I have been in Europe for several times and rent only the gasoliine car.)
I ask when booking accommodation, if I stay x nights, can I charge my electric car from a normal power outlet. I have never been refused. Asking after you arrive might not be as successful.

Exactly. Sometimes de colour changes due to a recent landslide or something.
The wifey vs car race was epic. Beautiful scenery both inside and oit. Bjorn for the win!

Others: a couple of 50kW chargers
Tesla: 12 150kw Supercharger
Well, in reality it is more like 6*150kW or 12*75kW (v2). But still, no one can match the Supercharger network

I have a 2021 SR+ and I’ve found that setting my car as a mid range rwd on a better route planner is more accurate than their 2021 SR+ setting
Up or down on range?

Camp site policy. I have no idea why. There's even a sign at the reception saying that EV charging is not allowed. I bet it's just lack of knowledge.
