    Very sturdy in comparison to other strollers that we had. I get a lot of compliments for it. My baby loves being in the bassinet, The th-cam.com/users/postUgkx4qZutfp1y5CaTUcMTuFPbARE5u-8XLiE stroller comfortable. I like the rain cover and the white net that comes with it. I use the rain cover just to cover the car seat when it rains. If your front wheels don't turn well, make sure you lubricate.

    When I flew Lufthansa and used the bassinet it was kind nice to start with, but turned into kind of a bummer. They made us take our baby out every time the seatbelt light came on and buckle them in on our lap🤦🏻‍♀️ Ended up being more trouble than it was worth. Just as we would get her to sleep in the bassinet the seatbelt light would come on! I do like the benefit of extra room though, even if the bassinet isn’t used.

    • @SummerWinterMom
      @SummerWinterMom  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Aw that does sound kind of difficult - I guess we were fortunate that there was never much turbulence on our flights so it never interfered with the babies sleeping in the bassinets. But glad you got to at least enjoy the legroom! Thanks for watching and sharing about your experience!

    What's amazing is in all of our travels, I've never seen someone with a baby using the bassinet. A lot of times it's not even the families with babies in those front seats 🤔 wonder if not everyone knows they're available? I cant imagine my daughter actually staying in there-she moves ALL around her crib-I can barely keep her in her bassinet stroller these days 😅 I fear even the zipper and buckle wouldn't keep her down if she wanted to stand up lol you've got some very chill ladies 😉

    • @SummerWinterMom
      @SummerWinterMom  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Aw yeah I feel like you’re so right! I mean honestly I did so much research before flying with our twin babies overseas and still couldn’t figured out what to expect until we finally got into the airplane so I’m glad I could share this & hopefully help some families learn about what options are out there! I totally understand a baby who wants to move a lot too - this worked great for my babies when they were both 9 months & again at 10 months but by the time they were 14 months when we flew it didn’t work anymore because they were too tall and also didn’t want to sit still either lol
      Definitely easier in that smaller less than 12 month stage - at least for us! We are definitely thankful that our babies are generally pretty happy, chill babies! 💗💗

    • @SummerWinterMom
      @SummerWinterMom  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s exciting that you’re planning a vacation with your twins! The airlines that I’ve seen them on were Lufthansa, United, & Air Canada - I would think that bassinets would be an option on all long-haul flights (ours were 10 hours each) but it’s always good to call ahead to the airline and double check. We never saw them on the short flights - we just held our babies on our laps for the short flights. The cost for us each time was $40 per adult seat in the location where the bassinets were, but like I said in this video, definitely double check with the airline if the seats are available before booking 😊 I hope this helps!

  • @SusanJKim
    @SusanJKim ปีที่แล้ว

    I’m flying at 15 months and she’s already 29 inches at 10 months… do you think it’s worth booking IF the bassinet seats are only in the middle rows? Other option is no bassinet but window seats so she can look out the window and stay in our laps!

    • @SummerWinterMom
      @SummerWinterMom  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s a good question. I’d personally go for the window at that point. We flew again with our twins at 14 months and they didn’t fit in the bassinets anymore (we booked those seats) but it was nice to still have the extra room in that row

    I was glad I took my child to the toliet to change her nappy. I think the flying made her get diarrhea during a trip. I personally had a issue for 3 years after I had my baby too. I think its air pressure or something. Thankfully it ended. Never the less you dont want too be changing a baby bum in the bassinet if that happens-flying poo can take on a double meaning. I did a lot of flying from the USA to New Zealand. Loved every min of it as I had a very well behaved child and when people got off the plane they congratulated me but asked if i drugged my child as it was a night flight from LA to NZ and she slept, NOoo I did not!!. Took me from my home in boston to my moms home 33 hours with flying and switching planes and driving. We was on 3 flights per trip one way. Did a 6 hour lay over as to a 4 hour lay over as once I'd miss the flight on the 4 hour lay over from LA to NZ. . Due to the plane having a issue before take off. Very rare did a flight take off with out dramas-delay. So it was better to sit for additional 2 hours than miss the flight all together. Enjoy a coffee. My daughter had been on 19 planes by the time she was 3. I had a go-go kids travel mate (frame on wheels which you order online in a catalog) attached to a Britax Car seat. The car seat with wheels attached are too heavy- bulky. I had one large suitcase which once dropped off I wouldnt need to worry about until i got to Nz as the airport people transferred it onto the next plane for me depending on what airline company I was with. back pack for nappies, 2 changes of clothes for both of us, 2 toys and a tin of formula and bottle incase my boob stopped working which I'd highly doubt it would or if some one for got theirs. Attached to my side I had my laptop. Dont bring piles of toys. I had a harness for my child. I took her off it and she tried doing a runner. A harness when they are walking is very useful if you have suitcases and travelling alone. My child in the airport decided to be a monkey of all days and thought it would be funny to run away from me. I told her how important it was to stay close to me at all times. Shes never done that before. Glad for my harness dispite a few dirty looks I had from people. I remeber before I had kids how I thought it looked horrible seeing kids in harness (kids on dog leads). Been educated I realised for kids especailly aged 2 its necessary. My child wasnt ADHD. But I'd hate to be the parent whose kid is. Always take your child In to the toliet with you. Handicap bathroom or family room. When my daughter was a little older I used a back pack which was easy to use and I was able to place her easy into it alone and onto my back. Hold my lap top on my hip, suitcase in one hand and a nappy bag with change of clothes for both of us in the other. I had a car seat waiting for me with a relative to drive us the 2.5-3 hour car ride home when I went for a few trips. I would totally sleep the whole way. I would never sleep on the plane, too scared someone would drug my child. So important to travel with a very comfortable stretchy nursing cover as I had a man trying to see my boobs while breast feeding.

In two months time I'm traveling with my 10 month old baby alone for like 14 hours, aside from passport there is a paper ( I don't know the exact name) that should be taken to our doctor/pedia to allow the child to travel, my question is what is that name of this piece of paper. Thank k you watching from Amman, Jordan.

    • @SummerWinterMom
      @SummerWinterMom  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, thanks for watching my video! Regarding your questions, we paid an extra $40 per adult seat on Lufthansa and United Airlines each way to be located with the bassinets. Depending on the airline, the baby is either free of charge or discounted if they’re a “lap infant”. Regarding extra papers I believe it depends on where you’re going, all we needed was their passports for international flights but every country has different restrictions that keep changing so I definitely recommend double checking all requirements before traveling. Hope this helps & I hope you have a smooth flight with your baby!

I also think every airline has different specifications and so it’s important to check with the airline first about their bassinet size and any restrictions, etc. Hope this helps!

      Hi! It depends on their size, for us we were able to use it til about 12 months but after that our twins got too tall. Hope this helps! You could also call the airline to ask about the size of the bassinet.

    Video is fine. But you speak soooo fast that it is sort of irritating.....

      I’ll try to speak slower next time. Thanks for the feedback.

      How odd....I didn't find your speaking to be fast at all, and certainly not irritating

      If you feel irritated, it's a you problem. Next time adjust the speed on the video to your liking.
