I flew from the U.S. to Europe once on a flight with a little family that had a baby about Olive’s age. That poor baby slept about 45 minutes the whole flight. She just cried and cried and cried. 🙁 The parents looked TRASHED by the time that flight touched down. I am SO glad things went well for the McGowan family on this trip.
Thank you for capturing Olive feeding in public! I know it's something you do quite often, but it can be so intimidating for first time mothers and just nursing mothers in general. Unfortunately in the states there is a lot of judgement and stigma surrounding nursing in public. I've done It countless times in the last four years and will continue to do so once our third arrives. I've encountered nasty remarks and rude stares, but once actually got thanked for helping to normalize it! Anyway, just wanted to commend you. I know how incredibly hard yet rewarding breastfeeding can be:)

She slept majority of the flight and we made sure to feed her on take offs and landings to help with her ears. Another thing we gave her was something for her colic in case she got a sore tummy. Did you guys book all 3 seats so that you had a full row to yourselves? And also were you able to book the basinette seat ahead of time or did you request it at the airport?
I'm traveling in 7 days with my 2 month old son so some of your tips were really good for me I appreciate that we have scheduled a flight that is at his nap time in the day he's napping at 11 a.m. so we scheduled a flight for exactly that time I figured I'd get him settled before the plane boards with his bottle just as I do at home a fresh pamper and he should be probably sleeping for my whole duration of the flight hopefully

You can have a drink or two but must wait 2-4 hours before breastfeeding again so it's important to breastfeed before you have that drink, but also everbody is different so I would talk to the doctor before doing it.

Great video :) your baby is so cute. As a flight attendant... i suggest you dont put your baby on the floor next time, im surprised no one said anything to you. If there is any turbulence, there is nothing securing your baby so she will go flying. Turbulence can hit at any time, for the most part pilots are able to identify areas with turbulence but there is also a thing called clear turbulence that pilots cannot predict.
The cover put over your stroller keeps away the sunlight, which is essential for babys to produce Vitamin D. So make sure she gets all the light :-) love you!! Enjoy your time at home

What did you do with the carseat? did they ask you to put it with the luggage? or take it inside with you in the plane?
You can take it right up to the plan and they will store it under the plane for you until you arrive. 🥰
