I flew from the U.S. to Europe once on a flight with a little family that had a baby about Olive’s age. That poor baby slept about 45 minutes the whole flight. She just cried and cried and cried. 🙁 The parents looked TRASHED by the time that flight touched down. I am SO glad things went well for the McGowan family on this trip.

@@benmcclay7305 Hi Ben, we actually found it much much easier then we thought it would be. She slept majority of the flight and we made sure to feed her on take offs and landings to help with her ears. Another thing we gave her was something for her colic in case she got a sore tummy.

Thank you for capturing Olive feeding in public! I know it's something you do quite often, but it can be so intimidating for first time mothers and just nursing mothers in general. Unfortunately in the states there is a lot of judgement and stigma surrounding nursing in public. I've done It countless times in the last four years and will continue to do so once our third arrives. I've encountered nasty remarks and rude stares, but once actually got thanked for helping to normalize it! Anyway, just wanted to commend you. I know how incredibly hard yet rewarding breastfeeding can be:)

I live in Norway, and breastfeeding in public is super common, and taking baby prams into cafes or resturants is really common. So makes it a lot easier. Yey for mums breastfeeding on airplanes!!
Alyssa Sullivan it’s not normal sorry ! If it’s normal then why wear clothes ? Why not let it hang out ? You should have respect for other people and their husbands and sons ! Why do you think men go to strip clubs ? I’m sure it’s not for the drinks . Cover up , your baby will be okay just like the millions of others who have done it modestly 😊

My wife (and 3 month old son) is flying to Europe in 12 hours. Im a bit nervous because she will be flying alone with him. Thanks for sharing this video. I hadnt even thought of bringing his boppy pillow as part of a bed. Fantastic idea. Thank you.

Did you guys book all 3 seats so that you had a full row to yourselves? And also were you able to book the basinette seat ahead of time or did you request it at the airport?
I'm traveling in 7 days with my 2 month old son so some of your tips were really good for me I appreciate that we have scheduled a flight that is at his nap time in the day he's napping at 11 a.m. so we scheduled a flight for exactly that time I figured I'd get him settled before the plane boards with his bottle just as I do at home a fresh pamper and he should be probably sleeping for my whole duration of the flight hopefully
Hi. What did you place on the bassinet? How where you able to Carey that as a Carey on? Is IT a lounger?
We are also a cross-continental couple (met in England, husband is a Brit, I'm American) and now we live in the US. No kids yet but we know that when they arrive, travelling to England will be a must (all the in-laws, family and friends will want a baby cuddle!) so your videos really help. How old was Olive on this flight?

I want to ask you how did you overcome, if it happened to you, her moving while you were pregnant? was she very active? did you count kicks? did you get worried if she didn't move much? What did you do with the carseat? did they ask you to put it with the luggage? or take it inside with you in the plane?
You can take it right up to the plan and they will store it under the plane for you until you arrive. 🥰
I'm really glad it all went good, and OMG she's so so so cute, and souch an AMAZING baby ❤ every time I watch your videos with her I want a baby too 😂 Oh, and please don't take this as a critic, it's just an advice, I don't think it's smart to put that cover on, because you can't see her, you know, anything can happen. Specially when she gets a bit older and puts things in her mouth... So be careful! :)
how was is it w. no earphones / earplugs?? my mom said rhey can go deaf if the ears pop and they have to be sucking on something when take off. my little will be 3 weeks when I leave. is that true?! all the vlogs I see the babies have nothing in tbeir ears

May I just suggest to at least do a proper summary where you actually list the tips and tricks, if they are what you are aiming for? This was more like a diary-type video documenting the whole experience with a focus on meals one may get on a plane :)

The weird thing is that they did not give you a bassinet nor an extra belt!

aren't you not supposed to drink alcohol while pregnant/ breastfeeding
You can have a drink or two but must wait 2-4 hours before breastfeeding again so it's important to breastfeed before you have that drink, but also everbody is different so I would talk to the doctor before doing it.
It's completely safe as long as your not getting drunk, baby gets a minute amount of alcohol.

As a flight attendant... i suggest you dont put your baby on the floor next time, im surprised no one said anything to you. If there is any turbulence, there is nothing securing your baby so she will go flying. Turbulence can hit at any time, for the most part pilots are able to identify areas with turbulence but there is also a thing called clear turbulence that pilots cannot predict.

Grem Castillo i think she said in the video she recommends the bassinet but some airlines require you to tell them before the flight so maybe she didn’t do that/know that 😊
If she's used to sleeping in the Dock-a-Tot, why disrupt her sleep environment any more than necessary?

It most be hard having kids
The cover put over your stroller keeps away the sunlight, which is essential for babys to produce Vitamin D. So make sure she gets all the light :-) love you!! Enjoy your time at home
