    New machine looks awesome Jon! Tinting the windows would help alot. But you should think about Clear Wrapping the outside of the windows too (especially the door) to protect from scratches... then when a wrap gets too scratched you just replace it and the door glass stays good. Would help with your camera visibility when doing in-cabin footage. Just an idea 😉

    I saw the new machine when ASV came out with it (photos and video). I had read the 135 was in great demand and was wondering when you were going to get one. My questions have now been answered. Your joy owning one is pretty infectious. And the fact you’re letting Willie run it on a job indicates to me that you’re no micromanager. I knew a blood when I was younger who would never let anyone else operate the machinery. He was such a micromanager that there was a constant turnover in employees. You have to trust your employees, otherwise, why have them? I can’t wait to see the 135 in action.

      Not sure if its great demand or just really short supply… equipment prices are absurd I cant bring myself to pay 70K for something that was 53K just a few years ago…. Im even seeing used stuff and they guy selling it is trying to turn a profit…. after putting over 1000 hours on the machine…

    Great stuff. It's going to help you a lot. I just love how everything looks after you have cleaned up.
    This mulching should actually be made a requirement around settlements and housing because of the wildfires that have been causing so much damage and destruction.

    Congrats, on the new baby. On your window tint 3M offers tint that protects against UV (lifetime warranty) to protect your arms and other body parts. I would have liked some sort of protection at the gas cap. Perhaps something as simple as a metal plate, slides that slides up and down to protect the area and and dust build-up. Don't want to rain on your parade, so I'll just shut up and let you guys enjoy.

    Happy for ya'll. Great to see the Lords continued hand of blessing on UBC. I recall a struggle hooking up the hydraulic lines from time/time so I wonder, will the protective guard [seen at 1:14], make it even harder to hook them up by hand? Seems I recall you using a tool made for that purpose so maybe it's no biggie. God bless.

    I tried to order one and they are 8 to 9 months out. John that thing is a beast. Im watching you do your thing and I’m trying to get into forestry mulching and land clearing. I’m a climber so I started my own tree company and I really like how your operation is ran. I ran the tv620b and I ran the Vermeer version of the 135 but the Vermeer dealer wants to charge more for the machine and not match the 1.9% interest of the case so looks like I’ll be going with case if they don’t budge by the time I purchase.

    We had the first year model I think that they made in a 100+ hp high flow skid steer and it stayed in the shop more than in use and we switched to Takeuchi and never looked back. Surely they have perfected the machine since then. Definitely are nice machines.

    Josh, nice ASV, I have the RT-75HD it has the same features.. First thing I did though was to get rid of that tube bumper and replaced it with 1/4 wall 3" square tubing.. I pretzel'd the original on a amall sapling I didn't see. It would have been nice if they had put a sheet metal "Scoop" for lack of better words over the engine vents on top, seems like even though its flat now it will still get pine needles and small twigs stuck in there. Glad they got rid of the exhaust on the roof and moved the camera out of the path of the exhaust!

    Love ASVs, the only thing I do not like about it are the side vent window openings, you will not be able to run that machine with no A/C. And personally I would not want to shut down a job if the A/C craps out early in the day.

  • @antonhuman8446

    Always imagined, that in order to really keep, at least a drum-type mulching head rotating well/at satisfactoy rpm. That is to eliminate the hugely time consuming forward/reverse actions. That a 140/150hp machine would be a great advantage.
    On the other hand. Where is the optimum power band because a 200hp machine will be an advantage as well. But. Requiring more fuel. and a much more expensive unit.
    Could you please comment regarding maintaining possibly/better better drum rotation momentum.
    Regards from South Africa.

  • @andrewells7441
    @andrewells7441 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    After seeing this clip I drove over to the only dealer in Houston and they quoted me $150,000 for the unit and another 40,000 for the mulcher.
    To me this is insane, or maybe they think I just look stupid. My plan B is to buy myself a Kioti 7320 close cab tractor and then add a good mulcher and let it rip. I do not need a skid loader or zero-turn capability to mulch. Actually, I rather have the mulcher father away from my grill if I am mulching not to mention saving myself $100,000 to do more things with the tractor than just moving dirt and mulching.
