I was clearing old forestry land in Brunswick Co NC late one evening. With the lights on I was working the head top to bottom of trees and brush. All the sudden I started seeing feathers, shut the head off and backed up. I got into a bunch of turkey roosting. Why the noise from the machine didn’t frighten I don’t know. Scared the crap out of me. I’ll try to find the aftermath video and post it. Keep your windshield down and watch out for barbed wire and turkeys! Lol
It would be nice if you had a metal detector or sensor on the front of the mulcher head. That way if there's a piece of metal metal fence post barbed wire old engine block car rim buried and the thick brush it would start beeping and let you know something's there before you hit it . Beep beep beep and protect your cutter teeth.
Not only is that probably the coolest thing I’ve ever seen in my life, if I could make a living running that thing all day everyday, I’d be a happy man
wow, that little buggard ate that tall fallen tree to bits in no time. well looked like no time, you were in speeded up version. you are such a pro at operating your equipment. always a job well done. looking forward to the next one.
Can you put a list of music and where you get it Davon, I love your choice of music! It’s so uplifting and relaxing my friend! Great job Davon, thanks for sharing! Kirk from Louisiana sending prayers and positive vibes to you and yours my friend! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👏🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙋🏼🙋🏼✌🏻✌🏻
Got some good size downed trees, took care of those no problems.total difference before and after, great job, great video.just keep doing what your do best 😎😎😎👍👍👍
I've seen it all but this machine is incredible nothing can stand in it's way I'm very surprised the something is built that could do this kind of work, I mean big logs was no problem for this machine very well built
That ASV RT-120 CP 5000 is quite a machine ! I know a guy that used it on his ex wife’s flower garden fish pond and gazebo while she was in France with his former best friend! Yes sir! Mulch city!
Wow, that did a fantastic job. How long would it take in real time, if you were not videoing? I have seen a video of someone using a similar thing on a full size Bulldozer, I was very surprised at how big the trees were it was turning in to mulch. Love watching this type of thing, overgrown lot to usable area, fantastic.
My son has a small 5 acre farm that is in really bad need of some clearing of old downed trees. A lot of the land is sloped. How much should we expect to pay to have about 2 acres cleared of these old trees? I know it's hard to give a price without looking at the property, but just a rough estimate would help.
I saw one of these for the first time across the road from our house. I stood there stunned at how well it did. He cleared an acre in just two days. It was nothing but woods and nearly jungle, here in east Texas. Its a beautiful place now .
I have a jungle similar to this on my property, that machine is amazing, wish I had one. But I've decided to clear my space myself as a project rather than hire the work out. There's a ton of wire fencing and metal posts everywhere in there. The vines are the worst problem to deal with too... horrid things, especially when cutting down trees. I'm going the hard labor route though because there are some bushes and small trees I want to keep and relocate elsewhere, bushes planted by the previous owner some 30 years ago and just let overgrow, no maintenance.
I had the same issue. I had about a quarter acre to clear out, so I waited until the dead of winter and that helps tremendously. If your local area allows burning, then true to burn piles as you go. I used hedge trimmers, chainsaws, and pole saws and hand cutters. Took about two months of work, but it's clear. Wait until it's all dead in winter.
I saw the long trees and thought he'd pull them out to be cut into logs. Nope - ate them just like all the other brush. Truly amazing to watch. And like you said, I thought it would be MORE of a beast on a higher flowing machine.
Have cleared a similar area to this, but we pushed in with an excavator initially to clear out some big trunks. It's as well we did as there was also lots of bricks and a great load of barbed wire hiding in the overgrowth and that stuff just loves to wrap itself around rotating machinery, took a while to pull it all out!
I have some land that looks like that. What do you recommend for a guy who’s never used equipment like this but wants to diy to remove trees and brush quickly
If you wanted to seed this section, could you till the waste under or would you have to physically remove the chips? If so, what would be the best way? Thank you.
Hi. I watch your videos regularly, along with Diesel Creek and Andrew Camarata. This tells you what my interests are. You post regularly and I like that. I enjoy watching munchie do its job. My question is because I live in Aiken, and I see places that you go to that look like Conway. Are you in Conway or am I just seeing things? Keep up the great work. Thanks
How do you account for when the customer says there isn’t stuff in there or doesn’t know if there is? Takes extra time and can cause damage to the machine. How do you work that out?
Once it is all muched down, what preparation is required if the owner wants to, say, lay a lawn? Does all the chippings have to be removed first? Watching from England, and loving it!
I've had areas cut with a similar setup. Typically out in the woods or side of pastures. We'll throw pasture mix on it and let that be that. Within a growing season there will be new growth and after a few years the wood chips have broken down. It's a catch 22 with decaying wood chips, they typically sequester nitrogen and release carbon while decaying. Not really enough of either to make it worth it to put anything other than regular fertilizer on it. I typically like leaving all the mulch behind to make more organic matter content for the soil. So in simple terms, if you want growth, just toss seeds on that your agronomist recommends and come back in a few years. If you want a suburban lawn you'll probably have to throw soil on it first.
wood chippings is actually pretty amazing for gardens and yards. They'll break down giving nutrients to the grass and it'll help the ground retain moisture.
Davin is very personable so I believe they look at the job and they let him know what they need. He is as great in front of camera as he is in front of his customers.
My first time watching your channel and I was impressed! I have seen other channels that use this equipment and you made it look so much easier than other people do. Very nice job.
Not sure that the ASV is powerful enough. I mean it’s going thru the stuff but it sounds like it slow down then when you pull it back it speeds up. I’ve never seen one like that.
I would love to buy or rent a skid steer and a mulcher attachment. I have ten acres in Texas that I need cleared of overgrowth. The problem is there's lots of rocks on the land.
I had a friend who found an Old logging chain with one of those. That cost him a lot as it broke up a bunch of teeth and he had to cut the chain out with a torch.
The fact that it's small is what makes it awesome because you can clear around large trees without damaging them. But around me all I see is the huge ones just for mulching. All of the excavation companies buy the biggest equipment possible with the developers and just strip everything.
I want one! I use a brush hog on the back of our 4x4 John Deere but they aren't even in the same class. I've done a neighbors field; took 4 hours. I use the tractor to take care of mom's 5 acres for various things. I sold the folk's 20 acre farm for 3 mil. and dad bought a lot of cool toys. He's gone now, just mom and I take care of her and the property. This would be overkill but dang! It would be fun to use in the right places, like this. If you need to get rid of firewood, we could use it. there is a distance problem, but I sourced an old fir a neighbor took down related to line of sight issues at his driveway. I've been trying to get the rounds through our log splitter but none of the sibs will help me. I've been using the forks on the tractor to position the rounds to be able to cut the rounds down. Equipment can be such fun! Mom has 3 wood stoves and an outside boiler to heat the shop and greenhouse. It's work to feed that monster but I get it done.
You need some micro cameras on the front of the Mulcher so you can see what you are mulching without having to lift the mulch head up all the time. You need them counter sunk so they cannot be damaged and if you had the you maybe would not have hit the tyre with the metal trim inside and broke Little Munchie? Just a suggestion?? 🧐
You are the Rembrandt of wrecking brush!!! Awesome job!!!! Looks amazing.
One of the most impressive clearing jobs I’ve seen.
@@EJLitherland you ain’t never seen much
You are so right! Beautiful job. It's like you came in and vacuumed out everything!👍👍 And a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 job!👍👍
That TMC is a monster - earned its money that day
Small job no problems..that nature gives you steady job..with that steady job we get to watch your blog..😂😂❤❤

Read this same exact story on another video of this nature from someone else. Word for word right down to this stupid lol at the end of the
I have to agree with you the lol thing is just stupid

So Rewarding to see the finished product. Great Machines
Ohhhhhhhhh, I LOVE ITTTT!!! VINES GETTING PULVERIZED! Made my day! 👏😁👋🦁 RAWRRR 😻😹🐾🐾🇱🇷
What a pile of debris. I'll say there were hidden surprises. Nice work!
wow, that little buggard ate that tall fallen tree to bits in no time. well looked like no time, you were in speeded up version. you are such a pro at operating your equipment. always a job well done. looking forward to the next one.
Beautiful job, Davin!! 😊
WTH? Homeowner could drop the trees but not cut them up? What a mess. Nice cleanup.
I know your the operator, and the machine does its job, you make this look so easy… thanks for all you do
That 120 and the TMC is a BEAST!! Great job!👍🏻
Would it be worthwhile to drag the big trunks of wood out and cut them up for firewood? Less to mulch and a bit of extra income.
I paid $175/hr for mine this past year. The sheer amount of work done in an 8 hours day is amazing. Well worth it.
I want one! I don't need one, I just want one!
Why do i find this so satisfying and soothing - love big mulchers
I like your way how to make it clean..very nice ..good job..👍🙏
Great work and work ethic.
🔥🔥🔥 GREAT TO SEE YA THIS FINE SATURDAY MORNING Davin!!! ☕️ with a side of idigit4!!!

Even with no rocks, bottles concrete debris 😁😆😊
That my friend was very cool !!! Really enjoyed your video Very soothing and satisfying to watch thanx 😊
Munchie does not take prisoners. Just let me at it from a different angle and I will show you who is the boss. Well done Sir.
What beast of a machine - reminds me of the "Sidewinder" from that Thunderbirds episode - Pit of Peril !!! 😁😅
I need this for my son's room.

Munchie earned its money today. Brilliant
That`s a great setup, even on the 120, those were some pretty big trees and it made short work of that mess, cleaned up really nice.

Das ist wahnsinn, wie toll die Maschine arbeitet, und ein sehr guter Fahrer

Absolutely awesome! I love what that machine can do. Surely you are a professional at it. Great job!

Quickly? Hire a pro.
DIY? burn piles and whatever you need to cut bits of it out.
That was very satisfying to watch
That thing is awesome. Necessity is the mother of invention.

Yes, i can watch these all day. But then get backed on other You Tubers. Great video. Love the music.🎉🎉🎉🎉.
How do you account for when the customer says there isn’t stuff in there or doesn’t know if there is? Takes extra time and can cause damage to the machine. How do you work that out?
Don't work for free.
Include maintenance costs in your quote.
Some insurance company's give cover.

@@nukiesduke6868 It seems like a lot of nutrients to go back into the soil. How long would it take to break down, would you say?
How much is one of these babies! I'm sure it pays for itself! I definitely want one!
Nice work! Two questions: What is the flow requirements of the head unit, and what is the hydraulic flow of the RSV? Cheers...
Wow this was truly satisfying to watch ❤👍
I wish I were younger. It would be worth the money spent to get to N Carolina and get a side seat next to you on that RT 120!!!
Do you charge by the job or the hour? What would you charge for a job like this?
I am wondering what color of caution tape would be best to use to flag a do not mulch past this spot?
Normally yellow tape but all Mulchers have already determined the area before hand. Sometime there can be miss communication.
Davin is very personable so I believe they look at the job and they let him know what they need. He is as great in front of camera as he is in front of his customers.
We used red or yellow, tied about 4-6' up on trees not to mulch or to mark a boundary when doing right of way clearing.
Thats a sweet machine!
My first time watching your channel and I was impressed! I have seen other channels that use this equipment and you made it look so much easier than other people do. Very nice job.

How much do you charge for a job that size?
In such a time, how many square meters can this machine clean?
😂. All of them. This machine just won’t stop. It’s one of the best.
I would love to buy or rent a skid steer and a mulcher attachment. I have ten acres in Texas that I need cleared of overgrowth. The problem is there's lots of rocks on the land.

I could watch forestry mulching all the live long day 🤩
Nice work. A person could rake this bio-mass up and burn it in a sawdust stove. That amount could heat a small house for an entire winter
Great job again

Great work clearing the land sir
That sure beats a chainsaw and hand tools!
You just expanded their property quite a bit. Nice job!

What’s the steepest grade are those safe to operate on ?
Wonder how many times you hit wasp / hornets or yellow jackets?
Great video. do you check for wild life and obstructions i.e. steels , iron ?
those are great but they leave roots and super small stumps.
Wow, great job.👍
