    • @bucksnortbumblefuk6872
      @bucksnortbumblefuk6872 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Roman Bennett 4k psi is a decent amount when it comes to hydraulics. Especially the length of hose running down the boom arm. Pressure drop I'm certain. Also to flow 50 gpm you'd need roughly a 1" hose, 1 inch hose rated for 4k psi at the min is stiff as f.
      (Gpm x .3208)/area = velocity ft/min
      There is a range you need to stay in to maintain laminar flow.

    Stan, I enjoy your breakdown of the equipment on a business end. I’m a owner operator with a TL140, 16ft 9 ton trailer, and a 2001 Chevy c8500 dump truck. I like to see a price breakdown from buying new vs buying used. Aside from mulching, for the small guys, a 65-95hp machine runs just as nice compared to some of the bigger machines. I’d like to see a video of what is the most versatile machine when you compare HP to price in the used market. Keep up the videos, and God bless!

    • @Dirtmonkey

      My personal preferance is a mid frame sized machine with 74 HP. We have 3 in this size. The ASV 75, the Kubota SVL 75 and a CAt 75 hp skiddy. We find that size to be the most productive all around.

      Jon You are my Hero. A 2001 Chevy C-8500
      Loved the Look of Chevy and GMC Dump trucks. They are that market bitch. For NOT having to have full size. Their 6 Yard dumps are so impressive. I ran a GMC 6 yarder back in Late 70s. It had the 4-71 Detroit Diesel. 5 speed with 2 speed rear axle. That Diesel had so much power. Just a month ago I rented a FORD F-600 6 yard Dump. It had the BIG V-10 GASSER. I understand why Ford put those GAS engines in. It was for the FLEET company to have a PROPANE fuel converter to meet emissions standards for fleets. BUT boy NO power coming up grades on hill driving. With a full load of 5/8- gravel. The GM product always had more POWER than the Ford's for that bitch in say 5 yard Dumps. My uncle had a F-600 that I pulled a 580-C Case backhoe with. The big GAS engine. It was a slow pull on any grade. That GMC just was a beast with that Detroit Diesel. Never any power loss with full load.

    Just bench racing the specs, the Case/NH TV620B has less horsepower but it looks like it lifts higher and more weight assuming all the metrics are measured the same way. The ASV seems more suited for forestry (or whatever else uses a lot of hydro attachment power)and the Case is more of a dirt work machine.

    • @zb6618
      @zb6618 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@zb6618 Part of my bench racing assumptions. Giving the benefit of the doubt that the extra weight would translate to structural strength for the forces involved in digging. The benefit of the doubt going to the ASV is that it's probably a bit more nimble, possibly better floatation.

    That is quite the heavy chunk of machinery. I saw the trailer & truck & thought that isnt your typical compact loader. I imagine that extra horsepower comes in handy with attachments like that. When he was hesitant to give a rough price i just chuckled. The track system seems way better than the others on market & way better than the park manager here who made the call to get a track kubota loader. As always Stan thanks for the look at another great specialty work machine even though they have tons of attachments for them these days.

    New Holland has the biggest skid loader and ASV has the most power but you have to remember what application the manufacturers are engineering their loaders for. NH is a huge agriculture company so they are really focusing on agriculture application. The NH c362 has a vertical super boom which vertical booms will have more reach vs a radial boom as the ASV has. More reach makes it easier for farmers to possible use it to load silage into feed wagons. The ASV might have a 'floating' track but I wouldn't be surprised to find out that the NH has better stability.

I just started research on the house steam engines on trains and train brakes work just because I haven't had the nitty gritty on equipment from a lot of different channels as of late. and everyone loves to see a piece of equipment run and just how far it can really go because that is also important in a price tag. What are you really paying for. Go nuts in a piece of equipment get the equipment running footage and make a video on it death challenge to equipment style. But we need the cold hard facts about what the piece of equipment actually is. I hope everyone sees the value just as much as I do.

    Also put that machine in mud, then shovel out the tracks as clean as you can get them and let them sit over night in sun zero temps. The next day show it moving, or show that all the wheels are froze up and it won’t move. That’s the experience we have with them.

    • @Dirtmonkey
      @Dirtmonkey  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah- that will happen with it. I learned when I was a kid I had to shovel out the tracks on all our equipment. We had a 1977 john deere 450 g track loader that I had to shovel out or it would freeze solid. After awhile its a non issue. You just know what to do. Besides keeping your tracks clean extends their life.

      there are 3 basic sized machines. small mid and Large frame. In each category there are variation on that machine. For general purpose I would go Mid frame size. It allows you to tackle smaller jobs bvut also go after bigger projects on ocasion. The big frame machines can be cumbersome on smaller or tighter sites but a mid frame machine can still do big jobs -just take longer. ASV are awesome- I recomend them. Like a lot of us, I watch a lot of operator channels and have seen a whole lot of skid steers, and I have seen a whole lot of tracks come off. Andrew Camerata loses a track on his skid steers every third video. Chris Guins (Letsdig18) not so much so, but it does happen. When it happens you are going to need a mini excavator to make it easier to remount the track, and a tube of grease to retension it, so there's a cost as well as time factor. I could tell before they said anything that the ASV track is far less lightly to come off, so that's a major selling point for them.
