    This guy could have gone to med school or any other higher education position, but he elected to become a tech because he likes to work on cars. We need more techs like him! Well done Rob!!

    Man , I feel your pain! Just went through 2 months of BS trying to find the problems in my truck...because of rodent wire damage and poor wire path from factory [ chafed wires] caused a module and STAR connector to go bad....If I had not watched this video, I might still be looking for that last issue! Who knew one of those little Ba#$$@'s could be good one minute, and bad in 5 miles [in my case]....I thought it could only happen to me! Thanks for this Information!!!!!!

    I’ve had this issue but with Cummins engines. 2013 6.7.
    Still to this day, I can’t figure it out. The whole entire cluster would go haywire and the wipers engaged when not switched on??? 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

    I would pay that diagnostic fee, lots of figuring and problem solving.
    Diagnostic fee for a blown clutch master cylinder after I stated, the clutch pedal is on the ground, there’s brake fluid everywhere, clutch master cylinder is bad - what’s he diagnosing?

    Before computers in cars my 77 F250 would stall ever 10 minutes or so took it to dealers they said they fixed it nope same, my dad found problem it was rust on fuel line under the factory clamp so it was sucking air so carb bowl went dry and truck stopped. Nice catch

    I have an 08 Silverado that when the scan tool is plugged in, the dash gauges go nuts and if the truck is driven while scan is still plugged in the trans shifts real hard and the dash gauges all drop to zero. Unplug the scan tool and the dash works again. DTC's: U0073 / P069E / P0700-$07e8-$07e8pd / P2544-$07e8. The truck is a Michigan rust belt victim. Can't wait to have A.I. added to next year's cars as there just isn't enough wiring in the cars yet.

      Yes need more wires I repaired container moving equipment and one had over 300 wires just going to and from shift control. The bundle of wires was size of 3” pipe

    Hi, I have an intermittent issue that takes out, cruise control, traction control and a few others. I can by pass this by turning off the vehicle , press the brake a few times and restart and everything is ok till the next time I turn it off. My question is can I try and move the connections up or down one position on the connector except the main input? I removed the connector and cleaned it with a electrical cleaner and it seemed to help for a few days, hoping for some helpful replies. thanks

    A few months backs I came across a 2019 JLUR with a bad star connector. Opened it up to test it and all the solider joints were cold. It was a friends Jeep so I reflowed the board and issue free since

      @Jeffbob442 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yeah, I hate cold joint's too....back in the day for a while some of the Jap bikes had huge issues with that. Wondered if anybody in japan knew how to solder!

    I have a 08 Mercedes cls550 and after all 4 new o2 sensors, new ECM and 4 different mechanics scanning the car and checking the wiring... P0031 still coming back. Question: O2 sensors use those signal blocks things(Star connector)?

    Does forward collision warning and adaptive cruise work through this system? I have a 2012 Gladiator and just got the error message saying these are not available and need to be serviced.

    Can you help me? I took my car into a Ford dealership and they turned off the check engine light but my air conditioner still isn't working. They couldn't figure out how to fix my air conditioning. I have a Ford edge 2007. If you can help me turn on the air conditioner that would be great. I'm not sure why they don't understand how to turn it on, but I think it has to do with a fuse but I'm not sure where the fuse is located at. Thank you!

    You can use a pico scope doing the same thing you did unplugging until comms are back and boom no having to drive 33 miles

    I NEED HELP. Im a used car tech at a gmc dealership. Working on a 2023 dodge challenger RT 5.7l 392 .Someone else did the used car inspection on it months ago and no longer works here. They tried to show it and when they started it it had loss of power steering service shifter. Abs. Traction control ect. Scanned codes and got u0140 for loss coms to bcm in multiple diffrent modules. Checked all the fuses related to the modules in question. Checked for power to bcm. All power windows and doors etc work. Pulled out star connector and started unplugging and seeing if codes or warning lights would come on with diffrent modules unplugged. Anyway when the Electronic power steering module is unplugged. All the communication issues go away. And the only warning light on the dash is service power steering. Its the end of my day today but for tomorrow do i need to start digging into the wires and connectors that lead to the eps module?

    Epic diagnosis. Also amazing is that this video showed up next to th-cam.com/video/66Z0NINGfa0/w-d-xo.html for me. Electroboom talking about half-blown capacitors and I wonder if that’s what you were looking at with those cracks.
