Old video -- Wish I added that these products are ever-changing and will hopefully continue to improve from an ROI standpoint!

This is crazy, my last name is Power too and my family is from Mass. I sell solar and I do agree on some aspects of the PPA. You can get a lower escalator (sometimes no escalator) but didnt Massachusetts just raise their rates like 60%?

Maybe is not good in MA for a lease but other states energy rate increases are higher than 2.9%, specially with gas, coal resources keep going up and only going to get worse, i would do a ppa that way you only pay for what the panels produce.

I'm in MA and had (note, HAD) a PPA. I did really well.
I started with Vivint Solar. They were taken over by Sunrun a few years ago.
My initial contract had a buyout option at the 6-year anniversary. That just happened two months ago and it was a good number, so I did.
Now I own the system outright and pay zero for electricity to anybody.
While still grid tied, I only ever have a credit on my electric bill. Currently sitting on just over $900. That will be eaten into this fall and winter and start building up again in March.
My all-in cost, while under contract and buyout cost, was just under $14K.

If it works out in your favor, of course that's great and especially if it's environmentally friendly, I'm in favor of it. But I had a client who worked with one of the companies you mentioned and they gave the specific feedback that maintenance was never responded to or taken care of. They had a problem where the company did not prioritize the problem impacting their use of the system, in fact they barely responded to it.

Wasn’t your nickname in high school Solar Power?

I wasn't cool enough to have any nicknames, other than the ones I gave myself
