Are you considering PPAs or a cash purchase?

How long it takes for a solar developer to get his investment back in a PPA agreement ?

Wait so the company is liable for the roof+panels? What if there is a leak

Great question! A reputable solar developer will inspect the roof pre and post-construction to ensure roof warranty is upheld. In the event roof modifications or roof work is required, we always work with the roofer of record/roofer of choice to administer the work, further ensuring the roof warranty is upheld.

PPA is the best option to go for

PPAs usually have escalation clauses, meaning the solar company rates go up over time. You don't get the tax benefits either, the solar company does. Then it can be a problem trying to sell your house under the lease.

Hi Paula! Commercial PPAs differ from Residential Leases in a multitude of ways, but you’re correct in that the tax benefits always flow to the asset owner. Our PPAs come both with a fixed (0%) option or with an escalator, given customers optionality. We do not offer residential installations.
