    4 Cylinder NA definitely sounds more reliable than a 3 cylinder turbo, but those rotax motors have always been beastly

      The amount of miles I’ve seen put on them is insane by comparison to any other SXS motor

      Mine never had a problem pushing 250 trail riding and duning. Guess it just depends how well you maintain it or if you get a shit engine from factory

    This came out way after the pro r and in my opinion can am has some 1 ups but polaris also still has 1 ups on the can am R and like i said the pro r came out way before. I have two pro Rs one ultimate launch edition and one premium so yeah you can say im being biased but i almost bought a xrc untill i saw the pro r and xrc next to each other. Im the type of guy thats not loyal to one brand ill buy whatever is best and i still think the pro r is still king. The pro r looks better and i love the ride command and sitting position plus i like how versatile it is the polaris can do it all. Yxz track, krx rock, talon trails, x3 dunes and speed utv desert and the pro r does all of it not the best but its well rounded. One thing i forgot to mention is being able to look over and see where your tire is for rocking crawling is super important and i know the x3s with that low seating position you couldnt see nothing so im curious if the maverick r was improved in that area because im a short dude and i can see out of my pro r easily. Id buy a maverick r if i thought it was better but i don't 15hp more than the pro r but more weight and no belt i'd rather change a belt than a trans. 🤷‍♂️

      Great points and yeah, you and I have the opposite problem. For me, I do hop the site lines are improved but it’s not a problem for my to look out and over. I have jumped into multiple RZR iterations and I’d say 6’2” is about as tall as you can be before it becomes uncomfortable.

    • @motorcyclestig8539
      @motorcyclestig8539 ปีที่แล้ว

      @sxsoffroad yeah I like the low seating position in cars I come from a car scene and the evos have low seating and the sti's have high seating just like can ams vs polaris and I'm a evo type dude I love sitting low and it's great for racing but for doing multiple things for offroad it isn't and like I said I'm a short dude I'm 5'5 so I'm good lol. Another reason I bought the pro r is because side by side next to a x3 there is no comparison as it should be because they made the x3 for almost a decade. The x3 is a great car but they suck in the rocks and I live by and go to sand hollow every weekend. I would like to sit in the new can am and see if you can see the tires it looks like you can from some of the onboard footage I've seen but I don't know forsure.

    When the the Pro R turbo is released, there will be a big gap in horsepower. It going to come down to 7 speed tranny, better handling vs more HP

    • @sxsoffroad
      @sxsoffroad  ปีที่แล้ว

      True. It’s a lot like cars the last 10 years. So much HP is available on smaller engines

    • @motorcyclestig8539

      Segway villian is also coming out with a 300hp hybrid version so let the sxs wars begin. It better begin im tired of these na twin engine sxs with tiny hp tiny a arms tiny swing arms and tiny radius rods. I want to see machines from the japanes market looking like the pro r, maverick r and speed utv.

    I had a 2022 smart shock x3 and it was faster stock than my stock pro r ultimate. With that being said. My Yamaha yxz is the utv I have the most fun in 😊

    You’re right about Polaris being made for short people. I’m a Polaris guy, BUT, the rzr, and those types of cars I don’t have leg room. I have a Polaris Ranger , which I can actually get in and out of great. On the other hand, I’ve been looking hard at the CanAm x3 turbo transmission. I’ve sat in that and have leg room. I’m 6’5” tall so I look for the leg room

      Huh, I'm 6'9". My knees don't fit in any can am. I sat in both a 4 seat x3 and turbo s and purchased a turbo s because I would have had to cut out the dash of an x3 to fit in it.

      @@Duneriding I feel like you’ve got the two confused. I’ve been in an XP, turbo s, turbo r, pro r, the only Polaris fit in is a Ranger. The canams have plenty of room for long leg folks

    The fact that this guy says the pro r doesn’t fit the bigger guy is total bs. Polaris has about 15” of cage above the head which no can am does

    • @sxsoffroad
      @sxsoffroad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh they have head height, not leg or knee or steering wheel height. Foot space at the pedals is limited. Once you dump that crappy cage it comes with, if you don’t keep the stock height (which no one does) don’t plan on getting in it if you’re over 6’4.

      @sxsoffroad completely disagree. I'm 6'9" and and a polaris is the only option. I'd have to cut the dash of an x3 and relocate the key to fit. And forget about sitting in the passenger seat. You'd have to remove the glove box. I'm adding an aftermarket cage to my pro R. It's shorting than stock but taller than most aftermarket. I can't wait.

    The base Maverick R has full doors what are you talking about, the Maverick R X would be a better comparison since the pro R premium isn’t the base model

      They don’t offer the sport anymore for 2024 or at least it’s not on their website. Also, the canam spec sheet says “half doors” all

      I keep waiting for someone to run it and post it. For most people a 500 mile break in is as much riding as they do in a year. Chupacabra is well past that now and I still haven’t seen it. Hoping for the best but right now speed is bringing up the rear on the other machines. That being said, I’m a huge fan and I want that company to be successful.

    It's not an automatic trans. It's a dct. This guy has no idea what an upgrade that is. Cvt sucks

    • @sxsoffroad
      @sxsoffroad  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Ah yes, the world of detailing must be explained. While a DCT (dual clutch transmission) isn’t technically an “automatic” trans, it’s an “automatic” manual without a clutch pedal that “automatically” chooses its gears and can be shifted through its cycle with paddle shifters. It behaves like an “automatic” so quite simply, it’s easy to say without in depth explanation. I’m sorry that I didn’t go into great detail when giving an straight reading off a sheet. I think it’s great, I also say that I don’t want to be the one tearing into it to fix something of it does go wrong. I’m excited to run it and I hate CVT’s.
