- TP199 and myself headed out to the desert to rip the new Can-Am Maverick R and it was so much fun. The new Maverick is seriously good, it handled a full day with Travis and I and it's ready for another.

Very strong and stable the gap from top to bottom and the control it gives the driver 35 inch tires is big enough for a side by side u really don't need bigger tires !! Can am was thinking about there wheel bearings I guess they shouldn't have many problems in that department!!
It just shows how far you have come. To be invited to a event like this and paired with the legendary Travis Pastrana is an amazing achievement. Well deserved 👍👍.

Growing up Travis was the one that got me into action sports. Which got me into cars. Eventually stumbling on Cleetus TH-cam. Now it’s come full circle!

Travis has always seemed like a genuine good person. Crazy, but wholesome. Good pair you two!
I have met Travis multiple times at the Olympus Rally, and the Oregon Trail Rally. And many of those times have been away from media, away from parc expose, and away from cameras. He has ALWAYS made time to come over and say hi to my kids, has always thanked me for bringing them out, and getting involved, and appreciated i kept my phone in my pocket, and a camera out of his face.
Out of all the motorsport celebrities i have ever met, Travis is one of the most real, honest, genuine, down to earth people i have ever met. His celebrity status not withstanding. He is the same on and off camera. I dont think the guy could be fake if he tried. Which is something i cant say for a lot of other people in motorsport who act like prissy little prima donnas the moment they think no one is looking.
This channel is absolutely amazing. It's incredible how refined the new Can-Am is.

I’ve always just thought of Pastrana as that uncle who’s like ten years younger than your parents and you do all that cool stuff with.
The Can-Am marketing guy who thought to invite Cleetus and Travis is a genius. He knows between their two audiences that they will sell more machines than a whole fleet of media goons.
Never liked can am before I saw this but might have to check into one now. You guys are crazy and they survived you and Travis is a testament to how good they are. Great video, keep them up.

Honda talons have had DCT's for years.
Yxz1000s also have a real transmission.
It's a great engineering move, and while it does look like it's really limiting on tire size, 35's are pretty much the top end of what you'd want to race with on a sxs.

Putting the two men together that could possibly drive that thing harder than anybody else was a really ballsy move on Can-Am. I'm not necessarily a Can-Am fan, I am thoroughly impressed with that machine.
They put the two most destructive people together on one machine, that way they'll only wreck ONE unit instead of two.

Lot to like about this. I like the intake location, paddle shift, dual clutch, width, and beefed up suspension components. Slightly skeptical over the knuckle design but hopefully I'm wrong.

Dayum!! That thing sounded like a Ferrari flat-plane V8 when he first started it.😮It didn't really sound like a 3 cylinder until they got it up on the pipe later on.😉 Between that and a 7 speed DCT, they really put some thought into these. That first big hill with all the rocks and craters was a piece of cake for it! What a rocket! I'll bet Can-Am is getting some serious bucks for these too.😳💸💸💰

I have been to 2 cleetus and cars events so far. Both in 2020. He is a TALL son of a gun!! I am 6'4" and he towered over me to the point my neck hurt during the couple minutes I got to talk to him during the meet and greet. And yes, he really is a nice guy, but when they need to get stuff going for the next segment, he needs to be left alone.
