How to program a Dynatech Dyna 2000i for a kickstart Harley Davidson. If you want to be able to kick start your Harley Davidson and you have a Dyna 2000i you have to change the setting in the ignition module so that the ignition "lights up" as soon as it's turned on. Dynatek has a factory setting of three revolutions. This means that the motor will need to make 3 revolutions before the ignition module will turn the coil on for spark. This allows the starter to get up to speed before the spark plugs start firing. With kick start you want the plugs to fire right away so you don't have to kick forever.
