Exactly. That was the whole reason I watched. We'll have to take his word on the synthetic fluid. I have an '08 G6 GT and lost a little fluid changing out the radiator today. Two trans cooler lines go into the radiator.
When you tightened the pan back up I tightened them up to be snug but they could still turn a little should I tighten them up to the point where the don't spin anymore or is it okay I just didn't want to like strip any of them out or anything
She's so many people on TH-cam videos of changing the filter and I gasket but where do you put the transmission fluid in it there's a cap on top of the 3/5 but when you open it up there's no dipstick in there and you can actually see a wire in there I don't think you fill in from the top anymore been trying to find video and manual is completely wrong that comes with the car
That cap is the fill hole but there are two different bolts on the transmission side that are the HIGH level ports. You have to remove one of them and fill the transmission with fluid until it come out of the port.
How much was your filter kit & was it duralast? also are there any pictures of what that seal that came off look like ? and did your kit have new seal in it also ?
The new kit might have been a duralast from Autozone if I remember right. I did come with a new small round seal and full size gasket. The seal is just a small round seal that is a metal ring covered in rubber. The diameter is not much bigger than a quarter.
Yeah, after seeing the video later I wish I had done a close up of it. I didn't really think so many people would actually watch it. I'm glad I made it though. I hope it helped someone out.
Correct, it only got out several quarts, the rest being stuck in the torque converter. Cant say for sure if the full flush really gets all the fluid out either.
I like the part when you didn't show putting fluid in it... great work.

Pretty cool stuff!
Transmission filters are one of the few filters that going with OEM is the best bet. Nobody seems to make a high end ATF filter.

with a pan and a filter drop, how many quarts do we add back in?
Alldata says it calls for 7 qts.
Video didnt even show where to add
I will be swaping out my transmission soon and will be making a video for that.

Cuántos litros de aceite usa esa transmisión?
Question.
On the 3.5L engine, is there a way to just check the fluid level/add fluid??

Didn't show much of that seal replacement.

Not a full flush correct ?
William Jimenez a full flush isn't always good for the vehicle although a bit of new fluids and a filter never hurt
