I always check everything within certain mileage points. Keeping vehicles maintained very well keeps them mint for YEARS equaling then reaching high mileage! Yes they’ll age and you can’t stop rust no matter how hard you try. Mechanics and maintenance of everything on your vehicle keeps it. 💪🏼💪🏼for very long time. I own a 2 owner (second being me) ram 1500 (2003) hemi engine. 260 plus thousand miles. Mechanically 💪🏼bed had rust and the rocker panels, frame had little surface rust in the rear end and the spare tire winch was rusted same with the spare tire (never been used! He was lucky) 19 year old spare tire still fresh. Rim been sanded down and repainted black. The truck would of made it 300k miles without a rebuild but I figured I’d do it when it hit 250 plus thousand. All fresh mechanics… internally everything original. Axles rebuilt, engine, transfer case, transmission, driveshafts, steering components (didn’t need to do those but I did!) All mechanics rebuilt. Bed rust was repaired after 2 years of owning it. I then started polishing it giving the whole truck a cleaning and a polish. 👌🏼soon it’ll get a classic plate 6 more years. It’s a much loved vehicle well deserved the time and money for a rust repair and rebuild. Fires right up and still kicks ass. Talk about a good truck. In my opinion it’s fantastic! Of course being a highly produced vehicle it’s gonna have stupid designs and flaws (obviously rust) every vehicle has issues and rust even new ones. I’ve seen a 5 year old truck with rust. Shame. Such a nice truck. It’s highly produced therefore cheap, also body is aluminum. I’ve dealt with bad designs on my old truck. Give it what it needs keep up maintenance it’ll still do it’s job.
    👍🏼

I just bought a 2006 Toyota limited 4.7, 8 cylinder 2wd from Wyatt Johnson for 10,000$ about 6 months ago from their used department. Basically the truck needed to be completely rebuilt it had sooooo MANY issues. They insured me and my wife the truck was ready to go and was in great condition. They also knew we were looking for a work truck to add to our lawn care business. So we’ve already put about 6,000$ into it hoping to get it in good condition well work now we are being told it’s also going to need a new rear end. It makes a slight knocking noice under the truck when in low gear is this the rust on the bearings can it be repaired? Please help it’s been a nightmare any advice would be so appreciated
