i was lucky enough to see him about 10 years ago. what a great great performer. He gave 1000% and stayed after the songs to shake many hands including mine. i got his guitar pick too!!
Indianola Mississippi Seeds a;bum was added to my collection in 1970. The cd sits on my receiver tonight front and center. Best ever. Thanks for all of the memories!
A sad day today when I heard the news of Mr. Kings passing, but a very emotional one when I watch him perform. This tune has ALWAYS been a favorite.Love you man.Long Live the King!
I remember seeing this on the tube. I was getting ready to go out and was drying my hair as i watched. I no longer have hair,,,but still have love for BB . I was on 42 nd street the day he died. His name in lights above the pavement.
I loved both BB King and Leon Russell. This song was on his album he did with various artists. This one Leon arranged and played piano on it. The album is Indianola Mississippi Seeds. I also really love Leon's own version of this song.
Nope. For Chris O'Dell. He also wrote Pisces Apple Lady for her, George Harrison wrote Miss O'Dell and she was the woman down the hall in Joni Mitchell's Coyote. For just a regular, unknown person she knew a whole of stars. Worked with the Beatles, The Stones, CSNY, Linda Ronstadt and more.
It's a cliché to say that because it's true. Older games are generally better, cheaper, smaller in storage space, and you can run them no problem on your machine.
BB was a wonderful singer, such a soulful voice, but it does seem odd that he goes so sharp on the first or second note of every verse of this song. Almost like he's trying to change the minor chord to major. I was wondering if anyone else had noticed it.
dallia1355 It is a live performance, give him some credit, it's still better than all these auto tune/pitch correction using "artists" today. Those off notes are what makes these old songs great. We subconciously recognize them and that's what makes it great. I'd rather hear a few off notes here and there than someone who almost sounds like a robot because they correct all the notes.
@@C45-w4o they give him credit, and respect. But considering it is a live performance doesn't mean that it is not to be critisised. I agree with them. Its still an amazing performance though
I saw B.B. at the Kennedy Center in 1973. You feel every note he plays on Lucille~as he did. 🕶
What a dear song to the little woman you love...your hummingbird...the only one you love...thank you , B. B.💜💥💥💥🎉🎉🎉

This fine tune was written by Leon Russell, probably for Claudia Linnear !

WOW. His voice is really strained, even off key a couple of times. Still love Riley though!
