Embsay & Bolton Abbey Railway - 11th May 2024

Yesterday, I went to the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Railway. It was a brilliant day, as I hadn't realised that they were running their beautiful vintage train! The carriages were lovely, Illingworth looked stunning and the georgous weather and scenery really finished off the day.

Wow some lovely carriages, I've seen 3 axle, 6 wheel carriages before but I haven't seen 3 axle bogies i.e. 12 wheel carriages has anyone any background on this carriage? Thanks

They really are beautiful coaches, they look even better in person! I think the coach you're referring to is an ex-Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway director's saloon from 1906.
