Excellent examples and advice. When seeing Anna's action with the straight arm out toward the side, I immediately thought of the England player Lauren Smith's overhead action.

OMG I think I finally understand why my smashes goes in the net lately ! thank you so much !
There are many tips in this video that are very subtle but make a big difference in power. Arm height and placement is a lot more important than I thought, great swimming analogy. I definitely miss time my jumps and hit the net, I now know why, haha. Super helpful video.
Another great video, after watching some videos of myself back, my non racket arm wasn’t completely up, look forward to implementing this when I play in the week
Very insightful ! Thanks guys

Could we have a more in depth video of pronation in forehand strokes? We've all been taught about the basic swing/stroke and proper grippings in most forehand shots such as smashes, clears or drop shots. But never been told what and how pronation works. I've always done my shot preparation/strokings properly but never noticed of having my forearm rotate or twist while I swing, now that I try to implement pronation in my forehand shots I'll always end up slicing the shuttle, almost having the same result as reverse slicing the shuttle as the strings face the opposite way.
Smashed it greg and jenny excellent work
Thanks 😊
Some excellent tips there - thank you!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it ☺️
Ohh wow just the video i needed, My birthday is going great.
7:17 watched this clip many time jenny smashing greg in th leg 😂
😂 thanks for improving our video retention 😜
I just wanted to ask how to send these videos which your subscribers send to you
great video again and again! very easy to understand for us amateur players, thank you very much.
Ah thank you so much! Very kind 😁
7:25 nice shot jenny ;)
Perfect accuracy 😜
I identified some mistakes I make by watching this video. Thanks for the informative content. A fan of your videos from Pakistan.
Can you analyze the smash swing action of the GOAT
FU HAI FENG
Hey Badminton Insight is astrox 99 play or astrox 99 game is good for beginners, what string do I put on it and what tension to? Thank you.
I decided to do film analysis on my own smash and backhand techniques, having the habit to watch the pros made mistakes spotting so mistakes obvious.
What is the most difficult I found was to UNLEARN the bad habits as they kept coming back but eventually things started to change with the help of corrective home exercises and match implementation.
Thanks you so much for commenting on the fan club footage. It's nice to see everyone bringing their techniques to observe the variety of the problems and good points.
Yes that's definitely one of the most difficult things - technique becomes engrained in your muscle memory, so it's difficult to unlearn... Keep it up and you'll get there 💪 And thanks for the support!
I recently recorded my games and noticed how my non-racket arm didn't look like when my coach demonstrated it. This video was actually quite helpful in improving my technique, love how you picked players of different levels. Bravo guys, love the content.
Yeah, I got a shock when I first saw myself on video - "do I really look like that?"
Always tape yourself on video. Watching a match afterwards gives massive insight!
Great video. Analysing techniques using subscriber examples is a great idea
Thanks 😆
Do you have any tips on how to keep your grip lose? Ive noticed everytime I smash I hold my grip very tighly what should I do to keep my grip lose do you have any tips and training exercises for this?
4m38s, nice catch Greg
Great video🎉
Thanks Justin!
Great video guys
Thanks 😊
What a smashing video! Great tips
👏 love the pun! Thanks
Great video. Thank you 👍
Thanks for watching 😁
hello sir and maam , first of all thank you so much for all your advices and it help me grow alot .
means now if i talk with anyone about badminton then they are like you have very awesome knowledge about this game , and all this boz of you guys , thank you my best badminton teachers .
and i really want to know , which racquet i buy ( like i dont know about many things and i am normal player )
and i want you guy help me , on the basic of best value for money badminton ( yonex astrox 100 zz , yonex astrox 77 pro ) .
and why i am confuse between these two ( boz 100 zz is so popular , so generally companies increase price accounding to demand ) and is 77 pro is cheaper .
so which i choose and i want your recommendation which i choose plz help me ...
Amazing and excellent video.. I hope there is another next video to explain analysis drop shot like this video to improve our drop shot.. Thank for this video
😁thanks
Can you please clear my doubt ? When we are getting ready to hit the shuttle our racket position should be facing side while rotating we should make it straight right?
imo this is the best smashing tips of yours, thank you. not pointing/raising non racket arm up is becoming my habit, pure reflex, but better late than never. Cheers from Java.
Thank you 😁💪
It's really my life's worth 10 min. For watching your video to fix my smash... It' really helpful 🙏
Keep up 👍 both of you
Thank you so much 🙏🏼
Can you do a video about the advantages of playing above the tape and not below. I have a couple of friends who I play with that get into great positions but then just let the shuttle fall below tape making them now lift it back.
Thanks
Great tips, as usual! And so well explained and demonstrated. When you're changing something, mistiming the shuttle is actually a good thing as it shows you're doing it differently! BTW, heard you both commenting in Indonesia - great insights and really added value to the matches. One nit, though, please don't refer to games as "sets" - they're for tennis and badger homes!
What a great smasher at 5 min kiss ;)
1:28, challenge accepted hahahaaaa lovely
right before my semi finals tournament .nice vide
Good luck 😃
Hi,hope you both’re well❤️❤️can you make a one video for how to play and look like a professional players ?
Please
Thank you Greg and Jenny, I still suffer from this smash inconsistencies where I don't completely switch my leg similar to Darren and I lose power/explosiveness which makes it easier for my opponent to defend. You guys brought up a good point to just consider hopping on a leg when smashing rather than jump smashing to get more consistency.
Glad we could help 🙏🏼
Okay that was a clean catch 4:27 One thing I learned is to film yourself and watch it after the match. Couple of times I cringed how my body moves before, during, and after a smash so I try to correct it at home at practice and implement it on court. Great advice!
Haha, yep - Greg should take up cricket too 🤪
Hello, i got aquestion, im pretty new to Badminton but i know the Rules and how to hold the racke tin each situation thanks to you guys! The problem i got if i try to smash, i dont see the ball i cant hit it if i try to jump and smash, my "smashes" without a jump are pretty decent but i would like to smash the ball harder and from a higher point if you know what i mean! Any tips?
Can you make a similar video for clear common mistakes? I struggle with hitting clears(round the head) when I am under pressure or taking it behind my body. This video was really helpful :)
We'll add it to our future video list 🏸
Hi Greg, please help me with thruster f enhanced edition racket one piece...I am not able to find it anywhere in India or in central sports website.
Great video guys! The ‘Pre-movement’ for Douglas, is that referring to the dipping of the racket head during the prep phase of the smash or something else? It was not entirely clear for me. Thank you.
Yes, exactly right! And the motion of the arm too
Hi guys! Love your videos.
I have a question regarding practice…. If you are simply looking to stay sharp (as opposed to working on weeknesses), how manu reps do you feel are enough for you shots? 50+ drives. 50+ backhands?
All the best
Jeff
Thanks Jeff! I wouldn’t say we put a number on it to be honest! It’s more about a feeling 😄
i really wish i could have u two as my coach... like seriously
Hello... I have a general question... I have seen many badminton games and I noticed one thing that when it comes to hit a smash, men hit more jump smash where as women hit comparatively very less jump smash. What might be the reason?
I just realized that I was always smashing with the 'jump-out' rather than the full body smash . Thnak you Greg and Jenny and all the best for upcoming tournaments and also the All England
Thanks for the support 🙏🏼
Finally launched a new video I was waiting eagerly 😮😮
Every other Sunday at 10am UK time 🤩
