10:17. I really like your advice. How can you serve better than your routine serves. Pin points my actual issue why I make mistakes when I try too much perfection.
One think as a beginner I missed was where should I stand in the service box, the guy was about a foot back from the line, is that the correct distance? Always been almost touching the line in my games
Mine always stand back about 40%-45% starting from the front line to back. Stand close to the middle line. That way i can cover backside and front easier after opp return the shuttle. Of course you need to be good in footwork so you can return the shuttle without so much pressures.
Very useful video..thank you.. Many people keep non-racket leg in front..but in this video I see you are using racket leg in front . Any advantage of this approach?
My back hand short serve is inconsistent 😢 So you’re saying the shuttle face should face the net tape? And racket should face middle of the net or the tape as well?
Wow, a fellow South African, I never see our people on badminton content. I fell in love with badminton while living here in China, I'm keen to play in SA though, what's the badminton scene like back home?
Hello sir I am anay from india I am beginner player and I have not able choose racket what do you think I have select which racket sir. please reply to me sir
Any budget line racket from big brand like Yonex or Lining is fine, youre new, go spend that extra money on coaching. Racket < Technique, Racket choice only matter when you played for a year or 2 while coaching will help you improve under a month
Get something in the price range of 1k to 2k. Prefer brands like lining, yonex, hundred and apacs. Hold it and swing it and feel the racket in your hands. Pay attention to the grip size, weight of the racket and balancing point (whether it is evenly balanced, head light or head heavy) All being said, my suggestion would be to go for lighter rackets, 80gms or less, head light or even balanced balancing point, and grip size of G4, G5 or G6. Put on a thin over grip at the time of purchase. Reason behind my suggestion is that lighter rackets tend to make you feel comfortable as you're a beginner and requires less efforts to swing. Spend the remaining money, if any left, at coaching, decent pair of non marking shoes and shuttles. As you progress, you will outgrow your first racket and you will know what you want at that point.
The whole time, Im so irritated the way he talks (like hes looking down on who hes correcting and hes a know it all), and why wont he show how its actually done, keeps saying how not showing how. Didnt serve a single time the whole video.
this is probably your best video you have released so far. Content wise.
Very good and clear instruction, thanks.
Great video guys. Will you be producing a video of serve to the body and also a "drive" serve ?

Are you world no.1
loved it
Please try Yonex Mavis 350 nylon shuttle inside ❤ please, please please please
Great suggestion!
Nice
Thanks
I don't understand the necessity of backswing and service swing at identical speeds. This eliminates an opportunity for deception.
if anything, it gives more deception. There's less time to react and harder to tell the difference between a short serve vs a long serve.
Paul Cho i challenge you 😂
come get your hotdog!
👍
Can i by you a yonex badminton 😅
But me😢
