My budget is 300 but I am really thinking this is the camera for me and I'll just have to make a few sacrifices. Thanks again.

Thank you for showing the and menu and features of the 740. Menu looks simpler on the 740. The specs do not tell you that when comparing the two!

i have the 740 my menu does not look like yours.any idea way.
Can you set the self timer to 30sec on the sx740 like you can on sx730? I can't find this option
Yes its there symbol looks like a clock. Lots if self timing options
