That's the funniest thing: turns out, if you just own it with enough confidence, you can say anything to anyone and discriminate openly against anyone! Social outrage pressure only works if you give a shit about being called names!
@@axelhopfinger533 Well if you go too far you will get into actual trouble though. Also you have to make sure you don't depend on the outraged for anything since they will likely avoid you for good reason.

@@ladymecha8718 not in dnd official rules. teiflings are techniquely all human. In pathfinder 2e tiefling is a heritage(subrace) that any ancestry(race) can take.

Tiefling Evandra is great, the makeup works really well on her features and she looks like a prankster fae creature.

When Nixie scrapped “tiefling” from her character sheet because she wasn’t special anymore, I actually thought she would appear as part of an even more exotic race, like lizardfolk, loxodon or symic hybrids. Imagine a Symic Nixie.
I though she would become a dragonborn personally, albeit gnome would have been another appropietly exotic player's handbook race.

That's the modifier. The stat would be a 2 or 3 to get a -4 modifier.
My first PC was a tiefling in Pathfinder 1E. The therapy session reveal got me pretty good because I once made an off handed comment in the campaign that tieflings of the city would play poker every Saturday night as a form of therapy, the DM liked it so much he actually made it a part of the world.

I was kind of expecting Evandra to just hack off the horns of the next tiefling to come along and stick them to the side of her head with their own gore. Then hope they didn't notice if one dropped off once she was inside.
It was funnier in a meta way when it was the player's doing, not the character

This reminds me of that time I made a fictional world with 12 different races and invited 3 friends to play. And our initial party had 3 humans.

@@Scp4521 eh, of course I'm exaggerating. :) Variant human is an intensely boring choice but that doesn't have to make the character boring. Ordinary human is a much more interesting choice because it's not picked because you "have to" for power reasons, it's picked because you wanted to. Like... I don't even get what a "variant human" is supposed to be, in-universe. It's such rubbish flavour. Now that they're designing everyone with a start-off feat I honestly probably will ban 'em at my table. You wanna be a human, you got a human right here, be that one. lol
I've made some interesting human characters myself. All non-variant, of course. Variant just feels like cheating. You do your thing though, no need to pay attention to my random qualms. If it equals fun to you, then who cares otherwise.

Honestly, the party being a therapy session makes quite a lot of sense. I mean, most tieflings are born into human families and are seen as bad omens. They are diliked for being born different.
I see why espacially the queer and the neurodivergent crowds are fond of tieflings.
Well as someone who is both within the LGBTQ+ AND Neurodivergent I can confirm this is 100% true lol

I REALLY LIKE the details on the sheets. The drawing of Antrius, with flowing hair, Evandra with Laura Cagnacci's eyes, and... Nixie. Just Nixie.
But also how Antonio painted the deerstalks, and Evandra painted some details on her sheet too, and Nicole used red pen!

0:54 - As someone who plays the trumpet:
1. Fingerling is correct. G, F#, F, E.
2. Needs a plunger mute or Wah-Wah mute to get that shaky sound.
3. Embouchure is totally wrong. You don't kiss the trumpet. The correct embouchure is to tighten the corner and roll the lips inward. If you say "Emmmm" and hold your mouth in that position, it gets you close enough to buzz your lips.

That's why they were having a Tiefling-only therapy session, to deal with the issues they acquired from being an oppressed minority...
The thing about tieflings is, in many settings, they can have parents of any race - including other tieflings. So your tiefling could have been raised in a human town, or a dwarven mine, or with loving, understanding tiefling parents. They could have faced discrimination as children for their appearance, or not. It's got a lot of flexibility.
Liking the more traditional game setup at an overcrowded table instead of lounging on a couch. lol

I once played a winged tiefling with the feylost backround that changed his appearance quite a bit. Imagine bark-wings, wood-horns and hooves with fur above. The party did not knew what race I was till session 5 or something XD

Wait if Nixie is a Tiefling, she is half demon, what is her other half? I'm guessing human based on when she removed her Tiefling as the race, but I never thought about it.
Is it really half demon ? 8 though tiefling just had a "devil ancestor". So basically your great great great great great great grand father was asmodeus or something, and it created a new race
That'd be a Half-fiend, Tiefling either are descended from a Fiendish Ancestor or one of their ancestors got so heavily into making deals/pacts with fiends that they were deformed from it.

This was a wildly , fun and humorous video, thank you. I love Tieflings. They have always been one of my favorite races to play and I only strayed from them on occasion to play a Changeling in order to have the appearance of any humanoid race whenever I wanted to. Currently I now play the original Horned ones, Satyrs. Satyrs are Fae so they lack the infernal aspect that makes the other races feel leery about, and they have some of the best racial features available, like Magic Resistance, which gives you advantage on saving throws against all spells that require a saving throw. It is also pretty cool to always have a melee weapon available to you even if you are separated from your main weapons as your horns do 1d6 + ST, bludgeoning. The only cool feature that the Tiefling had that I missed by playing the Satyr is Darkvision. Luckily I took a level of Cleric with the Twilight domain that gives me 300 feet of Darkvision and allows me to share it with up to 4 other characters for an hour.
