Omg sam your channel has come so far and you deserve it mate. Congrats in nearly 70,000 subs now and I believe that 2020 is the year you may reach 100,000 mate. Keep up the fabulous work as your channel has meant my live for model railways has grown , with me having a heritage layout with many locos now. All the best , Ryan.
I can't believe I found this channel not even six months ago and through every video I have watched on you channel is amazing how you have done this difficult and expensive work that is slow and hard to make over four years and getting 11k subscribers is amazing but to me I think you deserve 100k subscribers for how much you have done for you channel hope you get there some day
Hi Edmund, thanks so much for your kind words and support - I'm amazed by it too to be honest... never thought it would happen, let alone so quickly!! Thanks again mate, Sam :)
Theres not a ton of model railway enthusiasts out there and it really, really makes me happy to see one reach 10 THOUSAND SUBSCRIBERS! You rock it, dude! Im only like 12 and planning a layout!
Keep up the good work! I really like that Q1, gotta look for one. As always, my favorite locomotive is the next one I plan to collect. I'd love to see somebody do a nice new version of the E2 also.
Thanks Andrew! Hornby are bringing out that Q1 again soon for a decent price, so you might be able to get that?? Yes I new E2 would surely be very welcome! All the best, Sam :)
Definitely! The prices are very good for them to order at Rails of Sheffield too... I've been very tempted by the southern version! All the best, Sam :)
Congratulations on hitting 11.000 subscribers, that is probably one of the biggest milestones a model railway youtuber can achieve. Keep the faith - callum
Now I'm a US modeler and I run all steam on my railroad but even I hav to give credit to that a4 Pacific. Everytime I see u run her it's like music to my ears. I also look forward to seeing u run more US steam. I recommend a N&W j or C&O Allegheny. Great Show and Cheers!!!
Congratulations Sam. I just recently hit 100 subscribers and think that's fantastic, but 10,000 WOW! way to go. Q1 was my favourite today. Cheers, David.
Hi David, congrats on 100 subs - that is fantastic - my first 100 subs were much harder than the 10,000 - honestly! Yes that Q1 is fab!! Thanks for watching, Sam :)
haha, thanks so much for all your support mate! I will always be little though... it's only thanks to all these brilliant people... I couldn't do it otherwise! Thanks again, Sam :)
I love every train but the Black 5s are my favorite class, but Flying Scotsman is my favorite single locomotive because I saw it in a book as a child and I liked the look lol. Also thanks, because you're the reason I decided to get into the hobby, (Well, all your videos really did was make me want to do HO/OO). And one last thing, you said Flyin Scotsman was built for the GNR, she was actually the first locomotive to be built by a the LNER, only the first two A1s were built for the Great Northern Railway.
Ooh nice! The Black 5s are definitely awesome locos, and the Scotsman is too of course! That's fab to hear mate - really glad you managed to get into the Hobby because of me!! Thanks again for the info, Sam :)
Congrats mate, great video!! The first video I saw of yours was the BR Mallard review, and it's still possibly my favourite of your videos. I love British Rail more than any other county and the amount I've learned about the engines and the history of it all from this channel is immense. I have also been able to add locos to my own collection with the help of your reviews!! So thanks Sam, this is a great channel and its great to see your hard work paying off. Keep the videos coming!! (P.S: Do you think you're any chance of obtaining a Dapol Black Label A4? A review of that would be so epic!) Cheers mate.
Hi Clinton, thanks very much mate - blimey that one's quite an old one now! So glad my videos were enjoyable/useful to you - and thanks for all your support!! Yeah those A4s look amazing - but I've heard that quite a few of them have had serious running issues... for the price, that's not something I really want to risk :/ All the best mate, Sam :)
Sam'sTrains Yeah fair play mate. £400 is an investment, you would want it to run flawlessly at that price and I have heard the same things you have. Still, they look amazing and if they still had Mallard and/or Golden Eagle in stock I could possibly be temped. All the best mate.
Congrats on 10k (11k at the time of upload really) but none the less congrats. Got to say the part where Gordon wasn't on the turntable properly really reminded me of the Season 1 episode. I love seeing Gadwall in action as well as the good ol' Q1. Rocket really lived up to its name sake. You should definitely get the Bachmann Gordon, It is a much more sleeker model if you ask me. Here is to more subs, hey if your lucky you might get a million. Cheers Avi
Thanks a lot Avi - haha yeah, 11k just came so quickly! haha yeah... my Gordon model really doesn't like the turntable... so it's pretty funny ;D I'm hoping to definitely look into the Bachmann Gordon for next year, hehe! Thanks again for your brilliant support mate, Sam :)
Sam, You are my best channel. I’m never gonna hate hornby any more. Although thanks to Gordon for his performance on the turnable and everyone who are a big fan of your videos.
Congratulations on your 10,000th sub or is it 11,0000 now, I expect it will be 20K before long. I enjoyed Diesel month so much I ended up buying a few early British Diesels, but I do agree that the A3, A4 and Q1 deserve their rank as fan favorites. I need to add a Q1 to my collection in the future.
Thanks Brian, ooh that would be lovely - I'm just amazed with 10,000 though to be honest! Glad you managed to get some diesels too - they are fab!! All the best, Sam :)
Great Video! Loved seeing all of the fans favorite trains running. Your gaining tons of subs very quickly. Almost 12k now! I hope you can get to 20k like I said a while back by the end of the year.
Thanks so much - glad you liked that! I know - it's pretty crazy how quick it's growing!! I don't know about that - I can dream though, hehe! Thanks for watching, Sam :)
Great video mate :) some great locos out today, nice to see some steamers out again, again congratulations on the big ten thousand!! Here's to twenty thousand :)-all the best mate
Sam'sTrains my name is actually zack but I just use angus as a name keeper but yeah it's all true sam. It's because of your videos that I have asked fora train set every Christmas for the past 2 years...and I'm 15 so that's definitely saying something
Hi Sam, congrats on the 10(or is 11)K subs, not suprised your doing well, you have a real natural and relaxed and friendly presentation style and a genuine love of the subject. when designing the A1 Sir Nigel Gresley looked at the plans for the P.R.R. K4, in fact the boiler shape and valve gear type are the same between the two

Well done for 10k. I've been with you for ages and I enjoy ever video, you really deserve This, great running session once again, well done again mate😊
congrats buddy :) im glad to be part of what is know 11k subs :) my favourite is the class 50 shame no diesels made it into the haha but I think the channel has seen to many of them for a while
Thanks so much mate - I really couldn't do it without people like you! haha that's true... the steamers definitely seemed to be the most popular :3 Thanks for watching, Sam :)
Thanks William, glad you liked those - they are awesome! They are truly amazing, though they all just feel like friends to me! :D Thanks for watching, Sam :)
Fun fact: The specific A4 whose model you feature, Gadwall, has a rather short but dramatic history. It was renamed to Sir Ralph Wedgwood in 1939 and was destroyed in 1942 by a bomb hit during an air raid on York.
I absolutely LOVE the Q1 0-6-0, she’s certainly one of my favorites, in my top 5 for sure :) My favorites of your collection are The A1 Terrier 0-6-0 Hatton’s 0-4-0 King Class with TTS Q1 0-6-0 J15 0-6-0 And this may not be in my top 5 but I also do have a soft spot for your 4F with TTS Sound :) So out of all of my favorites, I was glad to see the Q1, it’s such a unique engine :)
My favourite is the flying scotsman, i think it is beautiful and is one of the fastest steam engines in the world lol. Im new in ur channel and i like very much your videos. Please keep uploading videos :) P.S. What is the intro song? xd
Ooh good choice - yeah the Scotsman is fantastic! Thanks so much for liking the channel! I think the music for this was called Dixie Outlandish! Thanks for watching, Sam :)
I joined like 6 months ago, glad I did. Cheers on 11k. Great job Sam! And awesome video :3 Also, Rocket was cool. -Jo i want that E2 class tank engine :0
Yeah I went on it andmyou could see the ash from the ash tray and the coal as well I think but it wasn't the most interesting probably cause I was like 7 or 8 at the time though I was obsessed with trains and I also saw flying scotsman in bits in the work shop
Congrats on 10k subs, sam, i've been watching since you've had 4000 subs, and ive even recently been posting on my new channel, train videos, because i was inspired by the reviews you did, keep up the good work and on the road to 20k :-)
WOOHOO GORDON!!!!! A lot of those views are probably from me :P So glad he is the most viewed video, and congratulations on over 10,000 subscribers!!!!!
congratulations on the 10K subscribers Sam. I like the flying Scotsman and Gadwall. Sadly for some reason Barrie Davis has taken his channel down so maybe you could recreate his video on wiring the turntable as a how to.Cheers John.
Thanks John, much appreciated mate! Yes I saw that he's gone too... he did do that once before, so I'm hoping he's okay, and that he'll be back soon! All the best mate, Sam :)
Very good. The 'Rocket' is the one I like the best as well from those running but my all time favourite is of course the gandy dancer. I have watched that video several times and it always makes me laugh, just a shame that she gave up and is no more. No idea where the name comes from either.
Thanks Ian - haha oh yeah the good old Gandy Dancer... if people really like it I might consider getting a new one... I do miss running it! I've no idea where the name comes from either, lol! All the best, Sam :)
you're review of Gadwall is the first search result for Hornby LNER A4 Gadwall. Also I'd like to see Gordon with some Blood and Custard coaches since those are the color of the Sodor express coaches.
Congrats on 10,000 subs! If you remember me, tell me. But I wanna say that how about in another video, you put a bunch of engines on the same line, and run them all on the same speed?
Thanks so much - yeah I do think I remember you! :D Yeah I did that! Do you mean as separate trains, or in double headers?? If separate trains, it's better to do that using DCC, since you can adjust their speeds individually! You can double head easily on DC though, because they just help each-other along, even if the speeds are a little different! Thanks for watching, Sam :)
Congrats on 10 000 subs you must be very proud of yourself for reaching that did you ever think you would be as popular as this I'm back from wales now really enjoyed myself bought back a class 85 by bachmann for only £95
Thanks very much David - I'm amazed to have reached 10k to be honest... no idea how that happened, lol! Ooh very nice - enjoy it mate! :D Cheers, Sam :)
Thanks so much! Yeah I know... it's crazy! Yeah I changed them - the old motor shorted out, so I needed some lighter weight blades! Thanks for watching, Sam :)
I think dapol do a plastic kit of the original LBSC coaches but the bachmann annie Anne and clarabel look similar so you could always do a repaint on them.
Hi Sam, Me again great running session. Hopefully I'll be building a new layout soon. I think I'll base it on ross on wye station which is the town that I love in. But sadly the railway was scrapped in 1974. Any way all the best Josh. 🚂🚃🚄
hi Sam question I've got a triang loco with a smoke unit in it. the guy at hattons suggested baby oil and it works but not the best result what smoke fluid would u suggest? great video and congrats on 11k subs 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃
I love the Stephenson Rocket, Southern Railway Q1, Gordon and all the Reintroduced Thomas locomotives

Congratulations on 10K!! Fully deserved! I remember the first video I saw of yours was the Gadwall Review, quite a while ago now lol
Thanks Lukas - ooh yeah that one was quite a while ago!
Thanks for all your support mate,
Sam :)
Gratz on 10K my dude, I hope you continue uploading videos and getting more subs for a long time.
Thanks so much mate - hopefully the videos will keep coming, hehe!
Thanks for watching,
Sam :)
My favourite is the flying scotsman, i think it is beautiful and is one of the fastest steam engines in the world lol. Im new in ur channel and i like very much your videos. Please keep uploading videos :)
P.S. What is the intro song? xd
Ooh good choice - yeah the Scotsman is fantastic! Thanks so much for liking the channel!
I think the music for this was called Dixie Outlandish!
Thanks for watching,
Sam :)
Thank you :)
I joined like 6 months ago, glad I did.
Cheers on 11k.
Great job Sam! And awesome video :3
Also, Rocket was cool.
-Jo

Thanks a lot for the support - glad you liked the video too :3
Cheers,
Sam :)
Congrats Sam, actually it's 11K subscribers....that's a few. A great running session too.......Kev
Thanks Kevin! That's true - but like I said, I didn't want to do this during diesel month!
Thanks a lot for your support,
Sam :)
At the NRM there's a static desplay replica of the rocket and one that you can go on a little trip which doesn't go too fast
Yeah I've seen that - it's very very cool looking! :D
Thanks for watching,
Sam :)
Thanks Eddie - I'm so glad to have your support! Ooh that's cool - I'll have to check that out some time! :D
Cheers mate,
Sam :)
WOOHOO GORDON!!!!! A lot of those views are probably from me :P So glad he is the most viewed video, and congratulations on over 10,000 subscribers!!!!!
haha good old Gordon! Well thanks so much for your support anyway mate, I do really appreciate it!
All the best mate,
Sam :)
congratulations on the 10K subscribers Sam.
All the best mate,
Sam :)
All the best,
Sam :)
Thank you Sam
We all love you
Thanks mate - you're very kind!
All the best,
Sam :)
you're review of Gadwall is the first search result for Hornby LNER A4 Gadwall. Also I'd like to see Gordon with some Blood and Custard coaches since those are the color of the Sodor express coaches.
Ooh is it?? I didn't realise that! That's a good idea - I'll have to try that! :D
Thanks for watching,
Sam :)
Just got back from holiday. Wow! Congratulations mate!!!!!!!!
Thanks a lot mate!! Did you have a nice time?? :3
All the best,
Sam :)
Congratulations Sam . Well deserved
Thanks a lot for your support Russell, much appreciated mate!
Cheers,
Sam :)
Thomas is the 2nd version of the e2 class since they were heave water runners. Stepheny is prototype of the e2 with a wheel arch
Yes that's true - his tanks are definitely longer than the original E2!
Thanks for watching,
Sam :)
no problem dude
Congrats on 10,000 subs! If you remember me, tell me. But I wanna say that how about in another video, you put a bunch of engines on the same line, and run them all on the same speed?
Thanks so much - yeah I do think I remember you! :D
Yeah I did that! Do you mean as separate trains, or in double headers?? If separate trains, it's better to do that using DCC, since you can adjust their speeds individually! You can double head easily on DC though, because they just help each-other along, even if the speeds are a little different!
Thanks for watching,
Sam :)
You can do about two on each line. :)
I hope you're able to do my request! :D
But of course, if you can't, that's completely fine. :)
Great job sam! You deserve 10K! And now you have 11K!
Thanks so much for the support!
Cheers,
Sam :)

Thanks a lot mate - haha yeah I'm always amazed by how popular the Q1 is! :D
All the best mate,
Sam :)

It great to have a friendly helpful hornby you tuber out there
I think dapol do a plastic kit of the original LBSC coaches but the bachmann annie Anne and clarabel look similar so you could always do a repaint on them.
Ooh do they?? I might look into both of those ideas - thanks a lot!
Cheers,
Sam :)

Hi Jacob, I'm no expert - but the best I've seen is vape fluid from E-cigs.... it seems to work really well!! :D
Thanks for watching,
Sam :)
