  • Hi Folks, ever wondered about the air you breathe and how this affects your sleep?
    Sleep is critical.
Good sleep requires a suitable bed, correct temperature and good air quality.
Most of us don’t pay much attention to the air quality - including me until recently when my misses started complaining of not getting a good night sleep and suggested an ionizer.
That’s when the researcher in me leapt into action. After half a day of research, I concluded what we needed was an air purifier.
The one I selected was the Phillips AC2887 Air purifier.
    www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-AC28...
On the first night of using it, we noticed an immediate positive change in our sleep.
So I got to thinking about building or buying an air quality monitor unit. There are many commercial and DIY projects on the internet, including this excellent project • DIY Air Quality Monito...
I may still go ahead and build one in the future - in the meantime, I went ahead and brought the XIAOMI Mijia Air Quality Tester.
    Unboxing
This unit is beautifully engineered, wifi connected and battery-powered making it ideal for taking with you on the road when travelling.
    It contains 6 sensors
PM 2.5 microparticles, volatile organic substances (TVOC) , CO2 - approximated, temperature, humidity and light sensor
Note there is no actual CO2 sensor instead the device calculates this from the other sensors data and this must be enabled from the menu.
It has a responsive touch screen and futurist UI plus a USC-C connector for charging the device.
    - with the display on at medium brightness - the device will operate for  3 hours
    - with the display off  -  the device will operate for 4.5 hours

This would be Brilliant for people like me who suffer from Sinusitis thanks to a Deviated Septum !
Brilliant Video Mr Harvie..Even though I live in the US , allergies during pollen season can get Reaaaally bad !! Been looking for a video like this for sometime now !
Also India would be a great Market for these kind of Air Purifiers and Air Quality sensing devices as its massively polluted !
