Just to be clear, CO2a is not the same as CO2, this device have no CO2 tester hardware, it uses some other gas testers to calculate possible CO2 value.
Sometimes CO2a can become incorrectly huge, and it needs to be calibrated time to time, this is done automatically by this device.
And if you turn it off for 24 hours, it will require you to wait about 4 hours to get itself recalibrated.
This CO2a tester is not so accurate as real CO2 testers, but good enough to understand that room required to be ventilated.

I understand that you are looking for some air quality measurement for you workplace . I also facing some strange allergies since we moved to our new office. The only thing that come to my mind are carpts and the fact the there are other buildings constructions out side my office building. My recommendation to you is stay away from windows and air conditioners or work from home if possible. Take care and thanks for the review 🙏

Is there an audible alarm option/setting for PM2.5? Thanks for your answer.

It's nice that it has a pretty box and firmware updates, but it is VERY inaccurate for PM2.5, TVOC and CO2 when measured against a real reference meter. Your reviews are really good, keep up the good work!

Do you have some sources for Xiaomi devices measured against real reference meters? I am looking everywhere but can't seem to find it. I am almost exclusively interested in pm2.5 meassurements

    • @ama-tu-an-ki
      @ama-tu-an-ki 4 ปีที่แล้ว

Thomas Talhelm run Mi1, Mi2 and Mi2Pro against his tested reference devices (Laser Eggs, Air Visual Node and Dylos Pro) and found the PM2.5 measurements to be really off (real life situation it was off 100-200 ug in PM2.5):
      smartairfilters.com/en/blog/xiaomi-particle-counter-inaccurate-not-control-purifier/
The best tests against each device itself (reliability) and against lab equipments I've found are at:
      www.aqmd.gov/aq-spec/evaluations/summary-pm
The PurpleAir 2nd gen devices excel at both.

Clear cache and uninstall the app.
      Reboot the phone
      Install the app
Select China and the app will automatically re-open with different GUI.
Next on the device select China random city and make reboot on the device.
After starting try to generate QR code.
Open the app and go to manual add device
      Find your model and select
Then try to read the QR code
