This is the first video I have watched from you, and I love, love, love how detailed you are. For example, the lock button on the trunk. I have watched many reviews from many different channels and not once did anyone mention what that thing was. Now I know! I love how you go through every feature.
After hearing those exhaust sounds, I sure hope the future predictions of vehicles going "all electric" after 2030 aren't true. There's nothing like exhaust notes!
EV isn't anywhere even close to ready for primetime yet. It needs about another 20 years (minimum) of development to be able to fully replace internal combustion, and if congress tries to force it before it's fully ready they will destroy the US economy and crush travel nationwide. The problems with EV right now are numerous but here are the biggest ones that make full EV on all vehicles impossible: #1 the US power grid is not even close to ready for charging EV vehicles and commercial vehicles nationwide. We would need to increase the ability for all municipalities to produce electricity by a factor of over 100. In other words, we will need about 1000 more nuclear power plants, or someone to harness cold fusion to cover the current daily power requirements to charge EV batteries in an all EV country. #2 we have about 2% coverage of EV chargers for our country, while we have about 90% gasoline coverage....this one is self explanatory, we need hundreds of thousands more charging stations overnight. #3 Lithium charging technology needs to go from a few hours on a supercharger to 5-10 minutes to be viable. No one who travels constantly is going to want to stop their trip for anywhere from 3 hours to 2 days to charge their EV...it's impractical, stupid, and will strand people with EV in the middle of nowhere. Batteries tech needs about 20 more years to get to where its usable for all. #4 Commercial vehicle battery weight is outrageous to be able to produce enough power to make 18 wheelers and dump trucks move for example viable. The weight of a 18 wheeler will increase by nearly 10 tons of battery weight over a traditional combustion engine. That's completely a show stopper, our roads are not even close to ready for the extra weight. Right now...EV is a really cool toy, it is NOWHERE ready for mainstream, despite what states like CA are trying to do. They will fail miserably at the end of the day because the tech is just not ready. Someday? yeah sure, now?..Hell no, only a fool would put a deadline on combustion engine vehicles right now....
A bit stiffer for sure. And much faster. You can tell this is a nice step up in performance and power. 540 is a good daily tho and peppy enough. Here's a 540 I did th-cam.com/video/8DSxcDXzUFg/w-d-xo.html
@@bigstein098 The 550 will be stiffer overall. In comfort mode I’d say it’s similar to the 540. But the 540 will be more toned down in performance and handling. M5 is when you really get the chassis stiffness
So riddle me this, why does the M550i seemingly have more features ( power tilt and telescoping steering wheel, power thigh extender, sunroof , extra driver side compartment etc) than M850i yet is 30k less ? Purely the design language? Help me out with this one ..... I understand class levels buy same V8 engine and size
@BrosFOURRSpeed actually m850i coupe is what I'm referring to and that's smaller and is missing enough features that I'm questioning..... they both have N63 TTV8 4.4L 523HP
@@Foregrlz I’m pretty sure I’ve seen those features on the 8 tho. Might need the executive package. To be honest the 550 seems to sell better and that’s probably why. Way cheaper for a similar car
@BrosFOURRSpeed not on coupe m850i..... it's a phenomenal car , just hard to see the minùte details omitted...... the style however is the selling point to me , just wish for sunroof , heated and ventilated seats with possible massage features.....haven't seen those on any reviews
@@Foregrlz th-cam.com/video/f7UUnP-eXzQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=D9ZJDzU1H2NTlBgl Here’s one we did. Didn’t look through to see if it had those options. But it’s a cool car overall
I have one, bought it instead of an M5 because it is more comfortable and just as quick. I've added an exhaust and a tune and I have no doubt that it is quicker than an M5C
I say take the M550i. Drives better, twin-turbo V8 with addicting sound and feel, good massaging seats. Now, if it’s the B8.5 RS5 you’re thinking about, that’s a hard one just because of that glorious NA V8. As an owner of a 2020 M550i though, I say take the Bimmer!
Is it true that these cars are a mechanical nightmare? I always hear things like that people be like oh no don’t get a BMW but I want ok because it’s my dream car 😭
I recently purchased a VW Tiguan R line Black. Black as in black trim nonchrome trim parts. I'm wondering can you do a review on that. If you haven't already. The Tiguan has a 2.0t engine. It size in general is not too small and not too big. Just right. Engine performance is right too. So far I'm impressed with my Tiguan. It color is pyrite silver. Which I named her Star.
You said it’s 3,400 pounds, but it’s actually around 4,300 pounds. 😁 If it was that light with that much HP, it sure better do 0-60 in less than 3 seconds 😂
Can’t believe anyone wants to purchase a 24’ base 5 series brand new , when one can buy one of these beast (m550i) v8 for around/under that 70k nicely loaded with under 10-15k miles in a 21’-23’ model , oh the lease program..most just can afford new leases..

Man I love pre 2024 BMWs!
I love anything 2020 and newer!
I bought this exact same color and interior in 2022 my cost with a few option was around $79k. They raised the prices in 2023. I love this thing.
Oh nice! Yeah things keep going up!
Did you get yours with the dynamic handling package?
@@WD.909 No it did not come with it. The chip shortage minimized a lot of options.

Top speed 155mph only because it has a Governor on it. Remove that feature and get over 200mph.
Maybe 185, this is it a 200 mph vehicle though.
What’s the price ??

This will be my very first car! Nice job bro.
Good choice!
A near 100K sports sedan to be your very first car. I am jealous.

Nice choice!!! My very first car is a 650i I hope u enjoy urs
My first ride was your mother
I have one of these in Aventurine Red. Fantastic car. It is my third BMW.
Nice! That color is awesome!
The 2024 model got me appreciating this styling more, it looks soo much better compared to the new ones. They ruined the looks of the new 5series
Personal preference, the new design has grown on me a lot!
Looks better then the new 7
The car weighs around 4,300 lbs. Not 3,400 lbs which is stated in the video
Looking back at my sheet I had 4300 and read it wrong 😆

Imo I think there should be both options in all cars. Like you want a electric car? We got it! You want engine and exhaust sounds, we have that too!
They will add sound bar in rear bumper for people who want that sound in electric car! Check my words in 2030 😂

M550i just need a downpipe and a tune to be around the m5 level

A BMW M550i sounds so much fun! Too bad that BMW Malaysia does not get the 540i and M550i, only the 530i and PHEV 530e.
