I think the Lincoln Aviator is the most elegant and classy luxury SUV in its class. Aviator is the only true luxury cruiser being sold...very unique how Aviator has 400hp but is ALL Luxury and no sport. Lincoln nailed it.

When I went to the auto show, this vehicle had a line of people wanting to see it. The wait was over 2 hours long. It was the most sought after vehicle.

Genesis Presented this vehicle in 2017, at the NYC International Autoshow. Only ”issues” I perceive from this video is that this may be TOO small for me (198cm/6’6”) with a family of 6 (add my wife and four boys: 16, 14, 11 and 4). Note: the host is 6’2”, and his hair is touching the roofline. Our Current family vehicle is a Dodge Durango. I've been patiently awaiting this vehicle to grace the USA market with its presence so that I may actually SIT in the vehicle and hopefully test-drive to see if it will replace our family Durango - which is my daily driver.
Christopher D Williams You could wait for the Genesis GV90 or get the Hyundai Palisade. My husband is 6’2 and he loves the headroom in the Palisade. And it’s better to get the Hyundai instead of Kia because dealerships are trying to sell the Hyundai but everyone is going after the Kia. We paid $2500 below msrp for our Hyundai. The Palisade limited feels the closest to this GV80. We have also lifted our Palisade and put all terrain tires. We use our for road trips and camping.

Yes, because in the United States that’s what Toyota does with Lexus. Hyundai did it right. The GV80 is so good that Toyota delayed the Redesigned Lexus RX until 2023.

I was at first never really interested in genesis but I just found out how amazing they are very unique styling looks very luruxy and comfortable I’m starting to like genesis
I think the car parked itself very well considering the cement columns. I’m surprised they didn’t add the USB ports on the side of the front and second row seats for rear seat accessibility. Isn’t that what they offer on the Palisade? That breaking distance is excellent considering the size of the SUV. When the phone is charging on the pad does it mirror Carplay or does is still need to be plugged into a USB.

I dont think the Koreans know how impressive these Genesis cars are overseas! These are a huge bargain compared to the overpriced junk German brands like BMW offer. Also, those seats look like the most comfortable seats in the world. That quilted leather probably feels softer than my cat. Great review by the way! I love how calm and upbeat you are, compared to some of the other journalists that are unhappy with every slight inconvenience in a car.

I'm really surprised by that 0-60 time. This'd thing should be sub 6 easy. Are they reducing power in lower gears because of transmission reliability issues? Ford did this with their previous generation of Explorer with the 3.5TT. This would cause the 0-60 to feel slower than it should but 50-70 passing power would have the full send available.

Beautiful car, and lovely exhaust. I’d prefer sound induction off. Also, fuel economy is decent for a SUV at this size. The tires would be why it’s not as efficient, but that’s why it’s so responsive in corners. Very quiet interior, also. And, I have to say, that steering wheel is growing on me. Thanks for the review.

The only reason I feel so so about the GV80 is from personal experience owning Hyundai vehicles, example 2015 sonata. I do love all the features it comes with. Ah, ill decide when i see it in person i guess

I think the car was actually giving more space on the driver side because thats regularly how you would park as driver to give yourself more space to go in and out of the vehicle. If thats the case, thats very smart from the company

Love your coverage of the Genesis vehicle lineup, but you don't need to mention "Genesis GV80" every time you refer to the car, just saying "GV80" is fine. Just makes the delivery a little awkward and redundant. Just offering some feedback.
