I used to wish her and Nick would find themselves back together but after finishing this book, I believe she’s truly right where she needs to be. She’s the definition of a beautiful person inside and out.

I wished her and nick would have worked out but I completely agree she's where she needs to be so is he. It's just sad how fame can turn everything upside down and like she said we were both at fault for things so atleast she's honest. Love Jessica she's so sweet!

The first 2 seasons of newlyweds was amazing but you can tell towards the mid season 3 how it was going down it's not like when the cameras stopped rolling they divorced

I respect Jessica on so many levels... She worked behind the scenes in Fashion without having to make public appearances... Has the highest grossing celebrity clothing line.. She did this while going through her darkest times and now she's healed and letting us all in... She went through her shit privately and not acting out on social media and publicly!!! Unlike a lot of these celebrities who allowed themselves to hit rock bottom, I commend Jessica for picking herself up and continue growing as a person.
This interviewer knows how to do her job, shes compassionate and not judgmental. Give her more interviews. Great job, Jessica seems so sweet and down to earth. I'm glad she got help

I don’t believe she is “drunk or high”. She speaks with purpose and her choice of words is very thought provoking. I don’t believe that someone who is “drunk” would be able to do this. Let her be happy.

She stuttered as a child and learned to speak slowly so she wouldn’t stutter.
As recovering addict myself... others think I'm still using because my drug use has slowed my brain quite a bit... I have my intelligence intact but I'm slower with speaking and reacting to questions and stuff. I don't believe she's on anything but it's just the residual aftereffects of her substance abuse. The brain takes quite a while to heal from being altered so much and then losing that source of dependency. It will take time for it to heal completely. Over time my "quick wit" is returning but it's frustrating when I fail to react and then I'm accused lol I do a drug test often to prove my naysayers 😊 much love and support to Jessica!

It’s a big deal, telling her story. It can’t be easy so I’d imagine she’s chock full of nerves. She didn’t have to tell her story. She didn’t do it because she was broke - she still had a multi million dollar fashion company behind the scenes. We’re all so quick to judge. When the rude and angry comments pop up, it’s usually those who are having trouble with stuff in their lives. Nobody is perfect.
Melissa Seng :Yeah. I agree, but what I’m saying is, she was never quite the eloquent speaker to begin with. If you watch her newlyweds reality series she speaks the exact same way. Short sentences. Southern drawl. Very real and in the moment responses. Now she sounds the exact same but in an older, more mature voice. It just seems that people have NOW began to criticize the way she speaks when in reality, it was always this way.

I only wish she would of asked her about her current relationship, but I agree it's her best interviewer yet. I actually believe she read the book and cared.

Great interview! I’m reading her book now and it’s so good! Jessica is so real with her mistakes, failures, pressures and just life. I really want to hear the audiobook. Jessica did seem nervous in the beginning talking but later on she loosens up and is more like herself. So before you judge watch the entire video. Again I credit the interviewer for making her at ease. Great job!

My first boyfriend was when I was 12. Don't tell my mom. My older sister was jealous so she and her best friend made out with him and then told me all about it. Adolescence sucks and girls are horrible to each other. Glad jess is doing the work to grown up finally
He did the same to Tonya Mitchell when Beyonce admitted they made out in 1998 while he Wass with Tonya. And also he did the same to Olivia munn in late 2010 and he told her that he and Jessica broke up and he was falling for her. And Olivia fell for it and had sex with him. He was still with Jessica. And Jessica then broke up with him in early 2011. And he actually lied to Jessica Simpson when he told her he was single in 2006. He was still with Cameron Diaz. Look up the year. He and Cameron broke up in late December early January 2007. He's all lies.

I went through sexual abuse at an early age. I didn't tell my parents until I was about 15. It was after the perp was out of our lives. My dad was in law enforcement, & I remember my mom saying one time, if he ever found out anyone had touched his kids, he would kill them. So as a little child, I was afraid to tell, because I would afraid my dad would kill them & go to prison. I can totally relate to protecting the family.

I love Jessica, her strength in telling her story is so amazing. I’ve watched her other interviews and in this one, she seems to be talking slower and stumbling on her words but that doesn’t mean she’s drinking. She’s been open about struggling with anxiety and depression, and I’m sure coming out to the world about everything she has been through is hard. Let’s support her and not tear her down.

Mike Garcia right! Think Ozzy Osborne, even when he was not currently or at that moment using, his body/mind was still messed up. Obviously that’s an extreme example, but even with Simpson...20 years of pills is going to do something to her. The mind is incredible but will not heal overnight.
Yes! You definitely have weird after effects from being an addict, years after you quit. I know that first hand. My words come out funny sometimes, brain slower, not as quick to react to..anything. No joke. Drugs are from the devil.

She is the epitome of how to bounce back, from mistakes, and be honest enough, if you have some kind of demon, to say, “I need help”, and Thank you Jessica Simpson, I will never touch cigarettes, drugs or drink alcohol EVER. PERIOD. And let’s be happy for her, instead of making fun of her, as someone that confronts problems, and defeats them, with help of course. And from the time, she was coming up, at the same time as Britney, Nicole, Christina, I can definitely, tell that she was mismanaged, pushed too hard to be something that she wasn’t, and things would have worked out better with letting her be herself, but as my gramma used to say, it is what it is...” again, I’m proud of you Jessica... ;)

My cousin has Friedreich's ataxia and talks like this, so the people saying she’s drunk or on something need to learn there are diseases that can cause impaired speech as well as antidepressants, and quit thinking the worse of someone who is trying to do the best they can.

Not watching reality TV? With very few exceptions, she's not missing anything. Those are hours of her life she will never get back so glad to see shes found something better to do with that time.

She is and was one of the most beautiful women in this world and she had so much fame and everything she did was on display for the world to judge and she could have let that overtake her and bring her down, but she chose better. I know...but this is just a cancer ♋ thing...we don't really like talking to random people because it makes us extremely uncomfortable which sucks because she's in the public eye...I prefer to text or email rather then take an actual phone call. I am paranoid about taking any drugs or alcohol...I don't even like taking Tylenol for a headache but if you called me right now and I actually answered u would swear to God I was so high or sedated...trust me, she's nervous and uncomfortable and that's why she sounds like that...if u ever get to see her on her IG story where she's around people she's comfortable with, her voice is normal...😊

Marlene Bonilla thank you I just went to her book signing last night it was a conversation signing where she spoke about the book. She had everyone engaged from 8:10-9:40! There is nothing wrong with the way she is talking she answered each question with such grace and truth and she was totally down to earth she made us all laugh if anything as there were 600 people in the theater it was a sold out book signing in dallas where she is from.

Na, the lady doing the interview is completely wrong....Jessica was NOT an "Open Book," until now. This is the very first time she's ever given us details on being a pill popper, alcoholic, neglect in parenthood & especially divorce details. Took her forever to be an open book. I could do without the divorce details, but I am learning a lot on the rest.
