Amazing band. Just saw them live at woodlands tavern in columbus ohio. They are incredibly tight and soulfully funky. One of the best bands I have ever had the pleasure to see in person. Go see them.
I had never even heard of this band but bought tickets and saw them last night. They put on a SMOKING show in Redding CA. to a somewhat subdued audience. I know as a performer myself that feeding from the audience energy always kicks the performance into high gear. This band had a typical for this area mediocre audience and still put on a red hot show. F*****g awesome. Not a weak link in the band. Excellent musicianship. Performing many songs from "The Band". and doing a great job of honoring them by sticking to the original material but adding their own tasteful take. They deserve a much bigger audience and I hope they get that as the tour rolls on.
Saw them perform this at the Portland Blues Festival this week....wow. What a fabulous band-they wowed the crowd and made a whole bunch of new fans-me included. Please support them.

Interesting fact: The tobacco company mispronounced it in their advertising campaign...if you want to be true to British pronunciation. The name is actually pronounced Pell (Pal) Mell (Mall).
I'm not a boomer but agree with the ones who say that the majority of modern music sucks. Especially the songs played on the radio, they are all autotune, cookie cutter, exactly the same made to a formula that the corporate labels came up with to make money off of. The vast majority aren't musicians or artists. They are in it for the money and the fame. Thankfully there are a few out there like Dustbowl Revival and Hank III that are doing things their way and making the music they want, it gives me hope for the future.
