This absolutely brilliant song was recommended by Simon Le bon (frontman for Duran Duran) on his podcast called Whoosh. He was correct, it’s a great song with a guitar that pins you down and drives its beat. Absolutely stunning it is. ♥️

Looking forward to hearing the album and live performance which I know will be very interesting.

"49" in a couple of months. Sheesh!~ If you scroll through, you can read my original comment. But yeah, it's a cool-trendy tune, at the moment. . . That NPR DJ (possibly on "World Caf'e"?), she said she would (paraphrased),"Bake a cake; attend all your Birthday parties; and be your best friend", et cetera - a message to the band, to please release more tracks. She also said that this is literally thee-only release of WET LEG's. I just looked and they put out another song. It's okay; but definitely not as catchy as this here tune. It makes me think of the group AUTOMATIC - whom are drummer Kevin Haskins' (BAUHAUS/ TONES ON TAIL - [now "POPTONE"] / LOVE AND ROCKETS) daughters. They did an excellent cover of Delta 5's "Mind Your Own Business", live. I think it would be a fab opening act on a leg of a US or UK tour.

Was in Philly last weekend with my(36) siblings(32)(37) visiting my aunt (71) and her kid(40) and his wife(39) for a Christmas type get together. We did a karaoke and the first song of the night was this as a duet by my cousin and his wife. It really set the spirit for the evening. Got me in the mood to actually sing. So I sang my favorite song. Dirty Diana. It's been my favorite song since I was five years old. Then we ended the night with Bohemian Rhapsody... because... you kinda have to!
Just discovered you guys. I grew up listening to the post punk genre, a long long time ago. Your music is amazing. Checks all the boxes, with a modern twist. Also, no one else sounds like this. Do your thing!

As a fan of hip hop and metal usually, this has to be my favourite track in the last couple of years! Everything about it is great, lyrics, singing, the music, the video, the deadpan expression of the singer (don't know if it's Rhian or Hester) the dancing, the chorus, everything is amazing!!!
I've been listening to music since before all of you were born. I started loving music on the radio in the mid-1950's. Now I'm listening to Wet Leg. And I gotta tell ya. These kids are getting both the video, the lyrics, and the music done right. This is good stuff if you like new innovative music. I'm a old geezer Wet Leg fan.
I've already commented on this, but feel compelled to say that the more I see and hear it, the better it gets. It's a brilliant and joyfully intelligent work of art. The video perfectly embodies and enhances the song.
This absolutely brilliant song was recommended by Simon Le bon (frontman for Duran Duran) on his podcast called Whoosh. He was correct, it’s a great song with a guitar that pins you down and drives its beat. Absolutely stunning it is. ♥️
You can tell they're having fun with this record... I love it, definitely going to buy it soon.
This song could've dropped 40 years ago and it would've been an instant new wave classic. That's why I like it!
Agreed!
YES. Offspring of the B-52s.

A work of pure genius. Quirky, catchy and fun. Love it.
Wowie, only heard this today. Its got something and the hook is perfect. That base line and guitar drive what sounds like quite a simple song with stabbing lyrics but once you get drawn in you have to hear it again, and again...
Best thing I have heard in a long time. Looking forward to hearing the album and live performance which I know will be very interesting.
I come from the year 2234 where Wetleg are considered retro classical. People still listen to it streamed. How quaint.
Hey you might like a band called The Doublejumps if you like Wet Leg. they both deserve way more recognition!! similar vibes and two of my favourite bands right now! ❤
My Niece! yay, ive known her (*obviosly, I known her since she was a wee one) work and seen her gigging a few times over the years, Rhian, proud of you! fantastic, hopefully I can see you play at a festival sometime, maybe book my band as a support act sometime.
I heard her on Radio 6 today. I love this song.
I heard her today myself!! Absolutely IN Love with It and her! SO much Fun!!
I see she's playing Latitude. Hope to catch her there

Listening to 94.7 in Portland, OR. Finally, something new that's original, cool, and humorous without sounding pretentious. I literally just heard this on the radio for the first time. Gives me hope for modern music. They sound great.

"49" in a couple of months. Sheesh!~
If you scroll through, you can read my original comment.
I'm 58 ,cool as love it ,be interesting to see what else they come up with
Love this! Reminds me of the Little House on the Prairie in a welcomely strange way.

@@rednola9892 shit. No wonder it sounded so choppy. I thought I was listening to a whole album of very short songs that all sounded very similar. Thanks to your incredible powers of logic and literal interpretation, I can now enjoy this song as the artist originally intended.

Every so often a song/video combo comes along that you just can't stop playing. This is that song for 2021 thus far.
I'm 65 and randomly heard this song the other day, the beat, the swagger, the guitar riff, everything about it is incredible. I'm probably the only 65 year old singing and humming this song in the grocery store and on the golf course, rock on girls.
I'm 65 too and saw them on the Brits. Never heard of them before. Very refreshing. Best thing on the 'show' :~)

I can't get enough of this track. The vocals are so sly, understated and cool. Then the guitar kicks in and launches the song straight to Mars. "Excuse me... what?" is as indelible as the
