Great video James 👍 Always very interesting to hear peoples strategies & sweet spots when it comes to the minefield of promoted listings. Not sure if I missed it but how long have you been testing your 7% dynamic method?
Hi James, great vlog again. I don't promote on new listings, after a week I promote at 2.1 then after another week I up it to 3.5. My listings seem to get a boost/refresh Everytime I promote. When my item is ready to auto relist I end and sell similar at a slightly reduced price. I put original listing date in SKU if something goes one year I auction or re donate. We all have our fave methods😅😅😅
Great video mate, I promote % based on Listing Quality Report but it doesn't work as good as it used to so I might give a go to your strategy. If you don't want just don't answer but I wonder what's your conversion rate and how many views you get daily on average? I have similar store size to yours and just want to know where I am now. All the best
Hi James, we also do dynamic promotions at 10% capped, i find that 50% roughly are sold viapromoted so i see that as a 5% across the board. Tried a number of options but this seemed to get good results for us. We have tried the pay per click and got no sales whatsover.... but only at a low rare so would like to see that video and your results!
Newely listed items get a week to sell and then they go into a 10% off markdown sale. I have about 10% built into my prices. Unsold items are promoted a week later. I add a 10% off coupon. I will create a 20% off "Category" coupon to target areas of concerns after 2 weeks. I find that adding new "like" items to my store bring new eyes to my stale inventory.I have not found that increasing the promoted rate leads to higher sales. Yes more impressions and page views. No added sales. Coupons work well. I use public and private coupons. I have increased Promoted rate to 5% in the past and dropped the sale and coupons and saw sales drop significantly.
Great video James 👍

i have never used promoted as it annoys me and other buyers while they are searching through ebay when things appear that has no interest.
