    I just started selling 2 months ago. Time is valuable to me as well. My process I've set up is first I take pictures of all my items I plan to sell. Then I ebay image search and find one that is similar to what I'm selling & click "sell similar" and save the draft. Then on the computer I have a google doc with typed up descriptions I use a lot. I go through each draft and copy and paste into the description, then update the weight and price etc. then go back to my phone and add in the photos and publish. Sounds fast but I usually do each step seperately. Last month I took pictures of 73 items, the following day I typed up descriptions and saved similar drafts. next day I copy and pasted, 3rd day I added the photos and published 73 listings.

      73 listings in 3 days is really good! If that process works for you, then keep it up 😊

    I searched "eBay clothing listing tips" and you were right on top and WOW you just changed my world today! I've been selling quite a good while. And thought I was doing pretty well with listings. When I saw you had a mac and the iphone automatically uploaded I decided to google that for my pc. I love my iphone but never had a mac. BOOM! DropBox! I just listed 8 so dang fast!!!!!!!!!! Literally finding your video is a complete game changer for me. Thank you so much! Just wanted to let you know how much this did for my business going forward as I'm growing my number of listings per day.

    I consider steaming prepping taking photos and measurements as part of the listing process and total listing time. Probably more like 5-8 minutes per item is more realistic.

    • @_calebsells
      @_calebsells  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On average my photos take 90 seconds including photographing the measurements. I just throw them in the dryer with a damp towel when I have a bunch of wrinkly items. So you're spot on!

    • @largelingerie
      @largelingerie ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, please…and explain slowly, please. All the time I spend typing descriptions is a waste, huh? Okay…
      You do the thing in the title for jeans that measure differently than the label, or just use the labeled size in your title, and let them notice themselves by checking the pictures? Do you put the actual waist and inseam measurements in the item specifics, or just use the tagged size? Thanks for taking the time to make this great video!

  • @pamprier4710

    Thank you! I find that it's generally MUCH faster for me to do my own listings, than to wade thru all the AI and "sell similar" stuff. I'm glad to finally hear someone else say the same thing.

    Great video and much appreciated! Definitely an encouragement for me to streamline and shorten my listing process. Have you had any issues with just showing measurements in photos? I type them out as well. Eliminating that step would probably save me 30-50 seconds.

    • @_calebsells
      @_calebsells  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Occasionally someone will ask the measurements even though they are in the photos so I just reply with “measurements are in the photos” and that clears it up 99% of the time. So I’d try it out and save the time!

    Great stuff! I'm currently weighing out my items as I list and only using polybags for all shipping. I ordered a TON of free FLAT RATE mailer envelopes online and having trouble figuring out how/when to use them. If you could explain that briefly or in a video that would be much appreciated! Thanks!

    Awesome! I love how you start from scratch on some!! I hear you scrolling on some - can I ask what mouse you’re using? Actually give me all the specs please!! I’m just about to get a new Mac - but LOVE the wide screen idea for three windows open!!

    • @_calebsells
      @_calebsells  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi! I schedule my listings to go live in advance instead of posting all at once. This helps me be consistent and never miss a day of listings. My goal is usually to be 5-10 days ahead on my listings so if my kid gets sick, something comes up, I want to work on another project, or anything else causes me to not do listings… my store is still in stride when I get back to it

      Don't feel too bad. As he just showed you, it was really 20 for the hour, plus 2-3 minutes each for photos, plus 1/2-1 min per item for prep and misc (research, comparable analysis, plus a little time to sku and put into inventory. When it's all said and done he is doing, start to finish, 8-12 items per hour which really is the average for most clothing resellers. You can definitely get there!

    Question. So filling in each and every thing that can be filled in is not necessary. I feel that is what takes me the longest is too full everything in. Also how do

      It is not necessary to fill in the item specifics but that is how users find items on eBay so I think it’s very important if you want your listings to sell. So that’s why I take the time to do them.

    Ok great...but you admit that you already researched many of these items, and some are basically duplicates. Also, you do not really write a "detailed description" but just paste the title and boilerplate as many do. But I agree, it's "shammy" for chamois. This material was so popular in the 70s and everyone wore a "shammy shirt."

    • @_calebsells
